Aproximación histórica al origen del director de arte publicitario en Colombia

Aquest article fa part de la construcció teòrica d'un dels quatre capítols del tema de doctorat que s'està desenvolupant relacionat amb el tema de la direcció d'art a Colòmbia. Durant l'exploració conceptual es va indagar sobre l'origen històric de la figura del director d'art a Colòmbia en relació amb altres denominacions afins com el disseny gràfic i la publicitat. Aquest aspecte va permetre focalitzar l'objecte d'estudi en l'aproximació a la història del disseny gràfic a Colòmbia així com identificar l'estat dels programes de formació en llicenciatura i postgrau.This article makes  part of a  theoretical construction  that seeks to contribute to the epistemology of Colombian advertising,specially  to the understanding of advertisingart director origins. For the above, a historical overview of the evolution of art in the sixteenth century was made, together with the research of the most important aspects of the main graphic art forms and the time the art director and its relationship with advertising appears. The focus of this research is exploratory and qualitative where an analysis of literature, magazines and Internet was performed. For this stage semi-structured  interviews were not applied   to experts because they make  part of an incoming stage that belongs to  a doctoral training process and will take place in 2017. The most significant contribution of this research i refers to the identification of the first art directors in Colombia and the impulse that they gave to advertising in this field.Este artículo hace parte de la construcción teórica de uno de los cuatro capítulos del tema de doctorado que se está desarrollando relacionado con el tema de la dirección de arte en Colombia. Giant paratubaric cysts

Giant paratubaric cysts are mostly benign tumors, with incidence of 10%. The incidence rate of these neoplasms is 2% to 3% including cystitis, papillary carcinoma and serous papillary neoplasms, the course of disease begins with abdominal pain or increase in size of lower hemi abdomen, becoming complicated in approximately 3% of cases. The diagnosis is made with transabdominal or transvaginal ultrasound, abdominal and pelvis tomography or magnetic resonance. The treatment of small cysts is expectant and the large size is surgical way. We present the case of a 35-year-old woman who began her current condition three years after her pregnancy, with urination urgency, abdominal pain and sensation of abdominal mass, who was diagnosed and protocolized in a public second level hospital in Mexico City, treated with opened surgery, and good postoperative evolution

La innovación y su relación con el desarrollo empresarial de los salones de belleza de Jesús María, 2020

El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación de la innovación en el desarrollo empresarial en las peluquerías de Jesús María, en el año 2020. La investigación fue de tipo descriptiva. Desprendiéndose el estudio en dos variables, siendo innovación la variable independiente y desarrollo empresarial como variable dependiente. Con respecto a la metodología utilizada, el diseño se investigación fue de tipo no experimental y de corte transversal correlacional, así como la muestra fue no probabilística, es decir la elección de la muestra no se basó en procedimiento de mecanismos ni con base a fórmulas, aquí se tomó una decisión según lo que este deseaba analizar con la investigación, siendo la muestra compuesta por 30 salones de belleza pertenecientes al distrito de Jesús María, tomando en consideración que estas fueran entre pequeñas y medianas empresas. Asimismo, el instrumento usado para la recolección de datos fue el cuestionario y la técnica utilizada fue la encuesta. El estudio demostró que la innovación influye positivamente el desarrollo empresarial de las peluquerías de Jesús María, teniendo como resultado positivo de correlación de 0,224 del coeficiente.The objective of this work was to determine the influence of innovation on the business development of Jesús María's hairdressing salons, in 2020. The research was descriptive. Detaching the study in two variables, being innovation the independent variable and business development as a dependent variable. Regarding the methodology used, the research design was non-experimental and correlational in cross-section, as well as the sample was non-probabilistic, that is, the choice of the sample was not based on a mechanism procedure or based on formulas, Here a decision was made according to what he wanted to analyze with the investigation, the sample being composed of 30 beauty salons belonging to the Jesús María district, taking into consideration that these were among small and medium-sized companies. Likewise, the instrument used for data collection was the questionnaire and the technique used was the survey. The study showed that innovation positively influences the business development of Jesús María's hairdressers, resulting in a positive correlation of 0.224 of the coefficient

Influencia de un programa educativo preventivo de salud bucal en la higiene oral, utilizando como ayuda educativa funciones teatrales

El actual estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar la influencia de un programa educativo preventivo de salud bucal en la higiene oral y conocimientos en niños de 3 a 5 años de la Institución Educativa Particular “Divino Maestro de Pro” y como complemento se evaluó los conocimientos en los padres sobre salud bucal. El estudio fue de tipo prospectivo, longitudinal, observacional, analítico teniendo como grupo de estudio a 119 niños entre 3 a 5 años y 78 padres de la I.E.P. “Divino Maestro de Pro” en Lima; para ello se evaluó el nivel de conocimiento mediante un cuestionario y el índice de placa mediante el IHOS para dentición decidua, ello se realizó antes y después del programa, así mismo se les aplicó un cuestionario a los padres de antes y después del programa educativo. Como resultado del IHOS en los niños obtuvimos, como malo el 90.8% vario a 0% y el 9.2% regular vario a 79% regular y 21% bueno, en conocimientos sobre salud bucal se obtuvo que los niños de un 41.2% a 0% malo, de 43.7% a 12.6% regular y bueno de 15.1% a 87.4% y con respecto a conocimientos en salud bucal de los padres de un 64% aumentó a 100% bueno. Por lo tanto, el programa educativo tuvo influencia en el hábito de higiene oral y conocimientos para los niños de 3 a 5 años y en los padres por los resultados obtenidos en el estudio

Independent primary-side controller applied to wireless chargers for electric vehicles

Electric vehicles rely on batteries that need to be frequently recharged. As an alternative to conductive charging, wireless chargers provide a higher reliability to pollution and electric failures and they also extend the situations and places where the recharge could be available without user’s intervention (e.g. parking spaces, on-road). In order to optimize the performance of a wireless charger, its configuration should be dynamically adapted to the varying battery’s electrical features. Towards this goal, controllers are incorporated into the system to modify the behavior of some switching devices belonging to the power electronics blocks. This paper presents a controller that acts in the DC/DC structure placed in the primary side. As a novelty, the controller infers the instantaneous battery power demands by exclusively measuring voltage and current in the primary side. In this way, there is no need for communicating (via wired or wireless links) the primary and the secondary sides. The bile duct ligated rat : a relevant model to study muscle mass loss in cirrhosis

Muscle mass loss and hepatic encephalopathy (complex neuropsychiatric disorder) are serious complications of chronic liver disease (cirrhosis) which impact negatively on clinical outcome and quality of life and increase mortality. Liver disease leads to hyperammonemia and ammonia toxicity is believed to play a major role in the pathogenesis of hepatic encephalopathy. However, the effects of ammonia are not brain-specific and therefore may also affect other organs and tissues including muscle. The precise pathophysiological mechanisms underlying muscle wasting in chronic liver disease remains to be elucidated. In the present study, we characterized body composition as well as muscle protein synthesis in cirrhotic rats with hepatic encephalopathy using the 6-week bile duct ligation (BDL) model which recapitulates the main features of cirrhosis. Compared to sham-operated control animals, BDL rats display significant decreased gain in body weight, altered body composition, decreased gastrocnemius muscle mass and circumference as well as altered muscle morphology. Muscle protein synthesis was also significantly reduced in BDL rats compared to control animals. These findings demonstrate that the 6-week BDL experimental rat is a relevant model to study liver disease-induced muscle mass loss

A Compact Digital Gamma-tone Filter Processor

Area consumption is one of the most important design constrains in the development of compact digital systems. Several authors have proposed making compact Cochlear Implant processors using Gamma-tone filter banks. These model aspects of the cochlea spectral filtering. A good area-efficient design of the Gamma-tone Filter Bank could reduce the amount of circuitry allowing patients to wear these cochlear implants more easily. In consequence, many authors have reduced the area by using the minimum number of registers when implementing this type of filter. However, critical paths limit their performance. Here a compact Gamma-tone Filter processor, formulated using the impulse invariant transformation together with a normalization method, is presented. The normalization method in the model guarantees the same precision for any filter order. In addition, area resources are kept low due to the implementation of a single Second Order Section (SOS) IIR stage for processing several SOS IIR stages and several channels at different times. Results show that the combination of the properties of the model and the implementation techniques generate a processor with high processing speed, expending less resources than reported in the literature.Collaboration with Sanchez-Rivera, related to, but not funded by, EPSRC grant EP/G062609/

Plan estratégico para mejorar la efectividad de las ventas en Industria Alimentaria Frugal Productos S.A.C., Chimbote 2022

El trabajo de investigación tuvo el propósito de implementar un plan estratégico para mejorar la efectividad de ventas de dulces de Industria Alimentaria Frugal Productos S.A.C., teniendo como metodología del tipo aplicada con un enfoque cuantitativo, y el diseño pre-experimental, por lo cual arrojo como resultado que la empresa mantiene fortalezas como flexibilidad de precios y productos, sin embargo no aprovecha las oportunidades como demanda insatisfecha y canales de comunicación, asimismo con una disminución de la efectividad de venta de dulces del 2.22% antes de la intervención. Luego se obtuvo el planteamiento de objetivos estratégicos como el mejorar el 15% las ventas en un largo, asimismo la creación de estrategias del tipo agresivo, enfocadas en la penetración del mercado y el desarrollo de nuevos productos, junto a ello, planes de acción con sus indicadores mediante tablero integral, en consecuencia, la efectividad de ventas de dulces aumentó en un 4.14% en un corto plazo. Por ende se concluye que la efectividad de ventas mejoró por medio de la implementación del plan estratégico, acompañado del compromiso del personal de la empresa y el manejo óptimo de recursos para mejorar la competitividad de Frugal Productos S.A.C
