The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that determine the consumers repurchase intention, analyze thesocio/economic characteristics of customers of Pz Cussons Nigeria soap products, determine the relationshipbetween customer satisfactions, perceived value and branding as most major variables that influence theconsumers repurchase intention. The data used for analysis were collected via questionnaire. The technique ofdata analysis employed were simple descriptive statistics such as means, percentages, tables and frequencies;Pearson product moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings of the study showedthat perceived value, brand preference and customer satisfaction are significant and positively correlated withrepurchase intention. The factors affecting the consumers repurchase intention of the soap products under studiedincluded production of low quality goods, improper use of distribution channels, lack of promotional campaignto back up the product and the use of improper pricing policy adequate for the product. It is recommended thatagribusiness marketing firms should produce and market high quality products since perceived value , brandpreference and customer satisfaction were major determinants of repurchase intention in the study area

The Impact of Financial Deepening on Economic Growth: Evidence from Nigeria

This paper examined the impact of financial deepening on economic growth in Nigeria. Adopting the supply-leading hypothesis using variables such as broad money velocity, money stock diversification, economic volatility, market capitalization and market liquidity as proxies for financial deepening and gross domestic product growth rate for economic growth, we found that broad money velocity and market liquidity promote economic growth in Nigeria while money stock diversification, economic volatility and market capitalization did not within the period studied (1992-2008). Government policy should therefore be geared towards strategically increasing money supply and promoting efficient capital market that will enhance overall economic efficiency, create and expand liquidity, mobilize savings, enhance capital accumulation, transfer resources from traditional sectors to growth inducing sectors (such as manufacturing and industry, agriculture and the services sectors) and also promote competent entrepreneurial response in various sectors of the economy. COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy and Determinants of Acceptance among Healthcare Workers, Academics and Tertiary Students in Nigeria

    Get PDF
The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in millions of human deaths, prompting the rapid development and regulatory approval of several vaccines. Although Nigeria implemented a COVID-19 vaccination program on 15 March 2021, low vaccine acceptance remains a major chal-lenge. To provide insight on factors associated with COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy (VH), we conducted a national survey among healthcare workers, academics, and tertiary students, between 1 September 2021 and 31 December 2021. We fitted a logistic regression model to the data and exam-ined factors associated with VH to support targeted health awareness campaigns to address public

The relation between schizotypy and early attention to rejecting interactions: The influence of neuroticism

Š 2015 The Author(s). Published by Taylor & Francis. Objectives: Schizotypy relates to rejection sensitivity (anxiety reflecting an expectancy of social exclusion) and neuroticism (excessive evaluation of negative emotions). Positive schizotypy (e.g., perceptual aberrations and odd beliefs) and negative schizotypy (e.g., social and physical anhedonia) could relate to altered attention to rejection because of neuroticism. Methods: Forty-one healthy individuals were assessed on positive and negative schizotypy and neuroticism, and event-related potentials during rejecting, accepting and neutral scenes. Participants were categorised into high, moderate and low neuroticism groups. Using temporo-spatial principal components analyses, P200 (peak latency =290 ms) and P300 amplitudes (peak latency = 390 ms) were measured, reflecting mobilisation of attention and early attention, respectively. Results: Scalp-level and cortical source analysis revealed elevated fronto-parietal N300/P300 amplitude and P200-related dorsal anterior cingulate current density during rejection than acceptance/neutral scenes. Positive schizotypy related inversely to parietal P200 amplitude during rejection. Negative schizotypy related positively to P200 middle occipital current density. Negative schizotypy related positively to parietal P300, where the association was stronger in high and moderate, than low, neuroticism groups. Conclusions: Positive and negative schizotypy relate divergently to attention to rejection. Positive schizotypy attenuates, but negative schizotypy increases rejection-related mobilisation of attention. Negative schizotypy increases early attention to rejection partly due to elevated neuroticism

Land Information System for Efficient Lands Administration and Revenue Generation: A Case Study of Trans-Amadi Industrial Layout, Port Harcourt, Nigeria

Land management could be enhanced through effective land administration, which involves the processes of land registration, Cadastre, valuation and land inventory. Manual Land Administration has been in use by the Ministry of Lands and Survey in Port Harcourt since its inception. The city and its surrounding have been expanding rapidly beyond projections. With this rapid expansion, manual Land Administration has become inefficient, time-consuming and prone to abuses, whereby some land officers siphon revenues generated, because of inefficient land transaction records; hence, a digital, scientific, and operational approach of Land Administration was adopted by development of an Integrated Land Information System. However, this has been achieved by conversion of existing land related information to digital formats with the aid of relevant software like MS Excel, MS Access, AutoCAD Land Development and ArcGIS 9.2 and the combination of necessary queries and analysis. The results show an efficient, effective and proper Land Administration and revenue generation procedure. Key Words: Cadastre, Land Administration, LIS, ArcGIS, revenue generation

Evaluation of varying feeds quality on the performance of arbor acre breed of broiler chickens reared in Niger delta, Nigeria

The quest for balanced and affordable protein makes broiler rearing increasing monotonic economically. It is highly nutritious and it creates employment opportunities as a result of its quick returns on investment and readiness to the market within a short period. The experiment was conducted at the Animal Production Departmental Demonstration Farm (APDDF), Faculty of Agriculture, DSUST, Ozoro, to evaluate BWT and morphometrics of Arbor Acre (AA) broiler chickens. BWT and morphometrics were recorded from one hundred (100) AA broiler chickens. Day-old chicks were purchased at Amo farm in Enugu State. The experimental design was RCBD. There were four (4) replications which consist of 25 birds per treatment. The experiment lasted for six (6) weeks. The findings were based on the feeds quality among feed products on an average of six (6) weeks old. Result showed that there was a significant (P˃0.05) difference among the experimental feeds. The Jake starter mash had superiority in BWT of birds over other feed products. The BWT and morphometric traits were superior in all the birds fed starter mash.&nbsp
