This project paper attempts to identify the influential factor which is participation towards enhancement of Standardized Work & Equipment Categories (SWEC) and Minimum Technical Requirement (MTR) on the satisfaction level among PETRONAS users. The response from respondents was gathered by distributing the questionnaire in the form of Microsoft Info Path file through the official email of PETRONAS. Once the respondents completely answer all the questions, they can automatically sent back the questionnaire to distributors email and the data will be automatically save in database system. The questionnaire used ten-point Likert scale to measure the dependent variable and independent variable for this study. The scales started with 1, strongly disagree and ended with scale 10, strongly agree. Furthermore, it presents and discussed causal effect of participation towards enhancement on satisfaction levels among PETRONAS users by applying statistical analysis methods of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) that was run using and Analysis of Moment Structure Software (AMOS 18.0). The descriptive analysis, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), non-parametric test and multiple comparison tests were used in this study to answer the objective and to prove the hypothesis in this study. This study concluded that for demographical part, organization and frequency of SWEC used variables are support for the hypothesis. In addition from multiple comparisons test conducted proved there were significant differences between paired groups of variables. Besides that, from the test for variables, dependent goal is supported for the hypothesis. Recommendation is given to improve their organization and future research for example PETRONAS should conducted training class for using the new system participated by PETRONAS users in order to increase the usage and at the same time increase the satisfaction leve

One of the most widely promoted family law reforms in modern Muslim countries is the issue of polygamy. Until now, polygamy is considered as a form of discrimination and marginalization of women, in addition to the conditions for the permissibility of polygamy because the wife's condition is not found explicitly in the texts or opinions of traditional fiqh scholars. This study utilizes a comparative descriptive approach by analyzing the history, legal basis, and views of Madhab scholars regarding polygamy, as well as comparing the application of polygamy regulations in Asian and African countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Morocco, and Tunisia). The results show that the reasoning behind polygamy regulations set in modern Muslim countries in Asia and Africa seems to be more dominant using the extra-doctrinal reform method. This cannot be separated from the goals of family law reform, the effort to unify law in a heterogeneous society, demands to increase women's status, and respond to community developments. The background factors include the influence of the colonizers, reinterpretation of the texts and madhabs adopted, and other geopolitical factors

Transforming Dental Mould Waste (DMW) Into High Purity Calcium Source By Chromium Removal Through Alkaline Caustic Leaching (ACL) Using Ultrasonic Technology

    Get PDF
The dumping of dental mould waste (DMW) into landfill is increasing every year and IPPT Bertam, Penang also have a lot of DMW that need to dump every month. As we know, DMW is recognised as gypsum, which has high calcium content. Thus, recycling of DMW seems as a sustainable approach to obtain alternative source of calcium, which can further be used in bioceramics applications. This calcium source can then be used as the main precursor in producing akermanite bioceramics. This study can be divided into two parts: (1) synthesis of calcium hydroxide using different frequencies of ultrasonic technology (i.e. 40, 132, 360 kHz) by removing the chromium content in DMW (2) fabrication of akermanite bioceramics using calcium source from DMW sintered at three temperatures (1200,1225 and 1250°C). The results obtained showed that 40kHz is the most efficient frequency in removing chromium content from DMW, resulting in higher purity of calcium hydroxide obtained. This finding supports the theory where lower ultrasonic frequency is commonly used for coarser powders. Meanwhile, the optimum sintering temperature in producing akermanite ceramics is determined to be at 1225°C

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of organizational leadership, professional attitudes, entrepreneurial values, and macro environment context within the parameters of the new public management (NPM). A major feature of NPM is its market-oriented approach. The premise of NPM reform wave is that more market orientation in the public sector will lead to greater cost-efficiency for government, without having negative side effects on other objectives and considerations. It is hypothesized that the presence of those four independent variables will influence public employees to exhibit market-oriented values. Survey questionnaires were sent out to 248 public officials in four government agencies in the federal government agencies in the capital city of Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. The response rate was 60.5%. The findings indicated that only professional attitudes and macro-environment context are statistically significant while organizational leadership and entrepreneurial values were positively related to market orientation but were statistically insignificant

Gait and balance disorder are among the most common causes of falls in elderly and often lead to injury, disability and loss of independence. However, there might be a discrepancy between elderly’s perception of their own walking ability, balance, risk of fall with doctor’s evaluation. The aim of this study was to compare perception of the elderly’s walking ability, balance and risk of fall with clinical assessment. This cross sectional study was done in a Primary Care Clinic which involved elderly > 60 years using systematic random sampling. Participants completed a self-administered questionnaire comprising of sociodemographic data and question assessing their perception of ability of walking, balance and risk of fall. Actual clinical assessment was done using Tinetti Performance Oriented Mobility Assessment. Most of the participants perceived they had good walking (84.4%) and balance ability (77%). A small proportion (11.5%) agreed that they are at risk of fall. There was a good agreement in walking ability (k: 0.702, p: <0.001), moderate agreement in balance (k: 0.546, p: <0.001) but poor agreement in the risk of fall (k: 0.300, p: <0.001). Multiple logistic regression demonstrated that factors associated with participant’s perception of risk of fall are age, having stroke and taking psychotropic drugs. A discrepancy is observed between self-perception of balance and risk of fall with actual assessment. Advancing age, history of stroke and psychotropic drugs were significantly associated with increased perception of fall risk. The future intervention programme need to focus on creating awareness particularly among those who have these factors
