Bridging Financial Knowledge and Investment Decisions: Insights from FEBI IAIN Ponorogo Students
Introduction: The participation rate in Indonesia’s capital market remains low, with only 0.4% of the population actively investing. As part of the younger generation, students represent a promising demographic to shift this trend through improved investment literacy. This study focuses on students at the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI), IAIN Ponorogo, to assess the factors influencing their investment interest. Research Methods: This research employed a quantitative approach, using questionnaires to collect primary data from 212 fifth-semester students during the 2018/2019 academic year. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to examine the influence of two independent variables—investment knowledge and minimum investment policies—on the dependent variable, investment interest. Results: Findings indicate that investment knowledge has a positive and significant impact on students’ investment interest. In contrast, minimum investment policies do not significantly influence interest. However, when analyzed together, both variables significantly affect investment interest. Conclusion: It suggests that capital market authorities and educational institutions should intensify efforts to improve financial literacy and promote student engagement in capital markets

Strengthening Religious Moderation through Revitalizing Ma'had al-Jami'ah: A Case Study in the State Islamic Higher Education
This article aims to describe and discuss (1) the phenomenon of religious extremism on the campus and (2) institutional responses of the state Islamic higher education to it in the form of (3) strengthening religious moderation through the revitalization of Ma‘had al-Jami‘ah (Pesantren of University). With a case study research design and the religious moderation concept of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia as a theoretical framework, this study found relatively the same facts about the phenomenon of religious extremism in the three state Islamic universities. Their institutional responses also tend to be similar; they rely on the belief that religious extremism harms the spirit of Islam’s raḥmatan li al-'ālamīn and the movement of extreme religious elements has threatened the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. The biggest difference is the way the three campuses foster moderate religiosity of students through the revitalization of Ma‘had al-Jami‘ah. However, the various strengthening strategies they do are relatively in line with the strategy of strengthening religious moderation of the Ministry and therefore have productive values for the national program. These results contribute to enriching the discourse on religious extremism and can also be used as a reference for state Islamic universities in strengthening the early warning system, especially through the revitalization of Ma‘had al-Jami‘ah
Marjinalisasi Perempuan di Wilayah Politik
This study aims to analyze the marginalization of women in the political sphere and the factors that influence it. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical approach, through a literature review and data analysis regarding the representation of women in politics. The results show that the limitations of women in politics are caused by structural factors, patriarchal culture, and policies that do not support women's participation. In addition, gender stereotypes and lack of access to political resources also reinforce this marginalization. Although various affirmative policies have been implemented, their implementation still faces various obstacles. This study emphasizes the need for more effective strategies in increasing the role of women in politics, both through political education, capacity building, and more inclusive policies. Thus, more equal participation of women in politics can be realized in a sustainable manner
Reinterpreting Financial Responsibilities in Islamic Marriage: A Maqasid al-Usrah Perspective
The research aims to address the shift from a rigid, gender-based financial framework to a more equitable model that reflects contemporary socio-economic realities. A qualitative research methodology was employed, analyzing classical and contemporary Islamic legal texts, court rulings, and scholarly debates. The findings reveal a growing consensus among Islamic scholars that qiwamah is not necessarily an exclusive male financial obligation but rather as a shared responsibility between spouses. The study highlights the increasing acceptance of women's financial contributions and the necessity for legal reforms to formalize this shift. Additionally, the mubadalah principle underscores the importance of reciprocity in marital financial duties, ensuring justice and mutual support within family structures. These findings suggest that contemporary Islamic jurisprudence is evolving to accommodate socio-economic changes, fostering a balanced partnership in financial obligations. The implications of this research extend beyond academic discourse and have practical relevance for family law and policy-making. By integrating Maqasid al-Usrah into legal frameworks, policymakers can develop more inclusive laws that reflect gender equity and economic realities. Further research is encouraged to explore how shared financial responsibility affects marital stability and children's well-being in Muslim-majority contexts
Perspektif HAM Dan Maqashid Syari’ah Dalam Meninjau Kebijakan Hukuman Mati Dalam Undang Undang No. 1 Tahun 2023 Tentang KUHP
The death penalty is a form of punishment whose existence is a topic of debate. Death penalty regulations in Indonesia experienced dynamics, until the enactment of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code. In this latest law, the death penalty sanction can be changed to life imprisonment if the convict shows good behavior for 10 years. The aim of this research is to understand how the principles of human rights and maqashid sharia are applied in the death penalty policy regulated in Law no. 1 of 2023. This research is included in literature research with a legislative approach to question the existence of the latest regulations regarding the death penalty, whether they are in line with or contrary to human rights principles and maqashid sharia. The research results show that the change in the status of the death penalty is not in line with human rights. This happens because humans basically have the same rights to own their lives. The right to life must not be taken away by anyone, so those who have taken the lives of others without justifiable reasons, at the same time have ignored other universally respected human rights. Meanwhile, if viewed from the perspective of maqashid sharia, changes in provisions regarding the death penalty are not relevant to the objectives of sharia in terms of preserving the soul (hifdz an nafs), where there is no guarantee that the convict will not repeat the same act in the future. The results of this research should be able to evaluate the social impact and how the policy affects society and the legal system in Indonesia
