    Capture fisheries business is a collective action in exploiting fisheries resources. It describes ability and dependency of community to capture fisheries resource that interestingly to be studied. The study was conducted for observing socio economic condition and analyzing small scale business of fishermen in Majakerta village Balongan Indramayu. The survey method was used in this study, with purposive random sampling for collecting samples as many as 10 respondents. The results showed that a small scale business of fishing had an important role for fishermen community in Majakerta village. Fishermen traditionally catch it, and they could be sustainable to do their business. It had financially profited with B / C ratio> 1.5 and payback period <= a year

    Pekalongan Archipelagic Fishing Port is one of many ports which it has not executed appeal wipping out of fisheries retribution include fish auction fee. Objectives of this research are analysis implementation of auction fee policy and its benefit for fishermen income on Pekalongan Archipelagic Fishing Port. Methods that it used on this research were study case. This research used analysis of both qualitative and quantitative approach. Results of this research explained that fish auction fee referred to Perda No 12 in 2009. Fish auction fee is allocated both routine and incidental every year. Each fishermen who landed fish felt receiving benefit, but it were not equal which they were pay. If fish auction fee is stopped, operation of fish auction will be depend on both local government budget and particular alocation fund from center government.Key word : benefit, income, fish auction fe

    Dynamics of spin and orbital phase transitions in YVO3

    YVO3 exhibits a well separated sequence of orbital and spin order transitions at 200 K and 116 K, followed by a combined spin-orbital reorientation at 77 K. It is shown that the spin order can be destroyed by a sufficiently strong optical pulse within less than 4 ps. In contrast, the orbital reordering transition from C-type to G-type orbital order is slower than 100 ps and goes via an intermediate nonthermal phase. We propose that the dynamics of phase transitions is subjected to symmetry relations between the associated phases.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figure

    Produksi Hasil Tangkapan sebagai Bahan Baku Industri Pengolahan: Kasus Pelabuhan Perikanan Pantai Muncar Kabupaten Banyuwangi

    Sebagian besar hasil tangkapan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Pantai (PPP) Muncar dijadikan bahan baku olahan baik di Muncar maupun di luar Muncar. Perkembangan sektor industri olahan tersebut menghendaki adanya ketersediaan bahan baku secara kontinyu dan kualitasnya terjamin. Penelitian ditujukan untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang produksi hasil tangkapan yang didaratkan dan besaran proyeksi tahun 2011-2020 serta pendistribusiannya sebagai kebutuhan bahan baku utama industri pengolahan ikan. Penelitian menggunakan metode kasus terhadap aspek produksi hasil tangkapan di PPP Muncar sebagai bahan baku industri. Volume dan nilai produksi hasil tangkapan yang didaratkan di PPP Muncar cenderung meningkat masing-masing sebesar 43,86% dan 33,62% pada periode 1999-2008, namun indeks relatif nilai produksinya < 1 atau kualitas pemasarannya kurang baik. Jenis ikan yang paling banyak dibutuhkan oleh industri pengolahan ikan di Muncar adalah lemuru, layang, dan tongkol. Bahan baku industri pengolahan di wilayah Muncar 89% berasal dari PPP Muncar. Pendistribusian hasil tangkapan langsung ditujukan ke industri pengolahan ikan dan ke konsumen wilayah Muncar serta ke daerah lain di Pulau Jawa dan Bali. Hasil proyeksi volume produksi ikan lemuru dan layang menunjukkan peningkatan pada periode 2011-2020, sedangkan ikan tongkol menunjukkan penurunan sehingga perlu didatangkan dari luar daerah seperti Bali dan Jawa Timur untuk mencukupi kebutuhan industri

    This paper discussed about fishing and marketing activities on the coconut crab (Birgus latro) in Yoi Island. Field observation and interview with local fishermen was conducted from November 2007 to March 2008 in Yoi Island (North Maluku). The coconut crab is one of an important commodity for Yoi's people. Fishing activities are done for 2-3 times per day, 5-7 days per week, and about 15 days per month. Catch results vary according to time (season) of the fish-ing activities (5-6 individual per day). The coconut crab weight was classified into 5 categories such as Big Tison (21 ons), Big (18-20 ons), Medium (14-17 ons), Small (11-13 ons) and Very Small (7-10 ons). Mostly, fishermen sell the catch to local collectors. Marketing of the coconut crab is in Yoi Island, Gebe Island, Ternate and Manado

    Hubbard exciton revealed by time-domain optical spectroscopy

    We use broadband ultra-fast pump-probe spectroscopy in the visible range to study the lowest excitations across the Mott-Hubbard gap in the orbitally ordered insulator YVO3. Separating thermal and non-thermal contributions to the optical transients, we show that the total spectral weight of the two lowest peaks is conserved, demonstrating that both excitations correspond to the same multiplet. The pump-induced transfer of spectral weight between the two peaks reveals that the low-energy one is a Hubbard exciton, i.e. a resonance or bound state between a doublon and a holon. Finally, we speculate that the pump-driven spin-disorder can be used to quantify the kinetic energy gain of the excitons in the ferromagnetic phase.Comment: 5 pages and 6 figures, 9 pages and 12 figures with additional material

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh citra Perusahaan terhadap loyalitas pelanggan melalui kepuasan pelanggan sebagai variabel perantara di restoran Boncafe Surabaya.Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Kuesioner akan disebarkan kepada responden yang merupakan pengunjung Boncafe Surabaya. Pengolahan data untuk penelitian ini menggunakan teknik SEM (Strucural Equation Model) dengan menggunakan web based software GesCa (Generalized Structured Component Analysis). Dari hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Citra Perusahaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan. (2) Citra Perusahaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap loyalitas pelanggan. (3) Kepuasan pelanggan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap loyalitas pelanggan

    Understanding bottom-up continuous hydrothermal synthesis of nanoparticles using empirical measurement and computational simulation

    Continuous hydrothermal synthesis was highlighted in a recent review as an enabling technology for the production of nanoparticles. In recent years, it has been shown to be a suitable reaction medium for the synthesis of a wide range of nanomaterials. Many single and complex nanomaterials such as metals, metal oxides, doped oxides, carbonates, sulfides, hydroxides, phosphates, and metal organic frameworks can be formed using continuous hydrothermal synthesis techniques. This work presents a methodology to characterize continuous hydrothermal flow systems both experimentally and numerically, and to determine the scalability of a counter current supercritical water reactor for the large scale production (>1,000 T·year–1) of nanomaterials. Experiments were performed using a purpose-built continuous flow rig, featuring an injection loop on a metal salt feed line, which allowed the injection of a chromophoric tracer. At the system outlet, the tracer was detected using UV/Vis absorption, which could be used to measure the residence time distribution within the reactor volume. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) calculations were also conducted using a modeled geometry to represent the experimental apparatus. The performance of the CFD model was tested against experimental data, verifying that the CFD model accurately predicted the nucleation and growth of the nanomaterials inside the reactor

    Phylogenetic and functional marker genes to study ammonia-oxidizing microorganisms (AOM) in the environment

    The oxidation of ammonia plays a significant role in the transformation of fixed nitrogen in the global nitrogen cycle. Autotrophic ammonia oxidation is known in three groups of microorganisms. Aerobic ammonia-oxidizing bacteria and archaea convert ammonia into nitrite during nitrification. Anaerobic ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (anammox) oxidize ammonia using nitrite as electron acceptor and producing atmospheric dinitrogen. The isolation and cultivation of all three groups in the laboratory are quite problematic due to their slow growth rates, poor growth yields, unpredictable lag phases, and sensitivity to certain organic compounds. Culture-independent approaches have contributed importantly to our understanding of the diversity and distribution of these microorganisms in the environment. In this review, we present an overview of approaches that have been used for the molecular study of ammonia oxidizers and discuss their application in different environments
