Using Process Writing Approach (PWA) to Teach Writing Descriptive Text

The research aim was to find out whether or not there was a significant difference in students' writing performance from descriptive passage among learners who practiced using the Process Writing Approach and those who were not. The design of that research used quasi-experimental. Participants were selected from X TKJ 3 being the experimental group and X TKJ 2 being the control group. Instruments of this study used a written test. There were five topics about the descriptive text in which students chose one of the issues. A paired sample t-test and independent-sample t-test were used to investigate the data. The outcome acquired from the paired sample t-test confirmed that students' writing achievement increased in the descriptive text after using the process writing approach. Independent-samples t-test analysis revealed that pvalue  (0.008) was lower than άvalu (0.05). Further analysis indicated a significant difference in students' writing performance from a descriptive passage within learners who practiced using the Process Writing Approach

KAJIAN KARAKTERISTIK KAWASAN TUNJUNGAN SEBAGAI HERITAGE KOTA SURABAYA

Surabaya merupakan salah satu kota tertua di Indonesia. Perkembangan arsitektur turut serta bertumbuh selaju dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi, sosial, dan bisnis di Kota Surabaya. Upaya revitalisasi maupun pemanfaatan kembali bangunan pada kawasan Tunjungan digencarkan beberapa tahun terakhir. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui karakteristik, langgam arsitektur, kesesuaian antara karakteristik heritage kota pada kawasan Tunjungan, serta elemen perancangan kota yang diterapkan saat ini untuk mendukung citra kota sebagai kawasan heritage dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif berdasarkan temuan sejarah. Diawali dengan menganalisa sejarah di Surabaya dari artikel, jurnal, buku, dan arsip gambar, dilanjutkan dengan melakukan observasi lapangan yakni dengan mengunjungi bangunan–bangunan heritage yang berdiri di sepanjang Jalan Tunjungan untuk mengidentifikasi langgam arsitektur yang digunakan pada bangunan heritage. Ditemukan karakteristik kawasan heritage yakni terkait fungsi, ciri, serta latar belakang sejarah bangunan. Disamping itu, karakteristik langgam arsitektur pada bangunan yang berdiri di sepanjang kawasan Tunjungan terdiri dari berbagai macam gaya dengan periodesasi yang berbeda. Penelitian ini berguna sebagai acuan perencanaan menghidupkan semangat heritage sebagai tujuan wisata Kota Surabaya pada kawasan Tunjungan dan dapat membantu perencana maupun konsultan yang melaksanakan kegiatan revitalisasi maupun konservasi bangunan

IMPLEMENTASI METODE DELPHI TERHADAP TUGAS AKHIR MATAKULIAH TEFL

  In the era of globalization and rapid technological development. To prepare students to face social changes, the world of work and rapid technological advances, student competencies must be improved and prepared to face the demands of the times. and these optimal and relevant skills must be considered in the Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) course. Microteaching in TEFL courses must be adapted to the demands of the times. Therefore, the Delphi Method can be used to form guidelines and predict trends. The five main uses of Delphi in higher education, include: cost effectiveness, cost-benefit analysis, curriculum and campus planning, university education goals and objectives, generalized futuristic education goals and objectives. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach. Keywords in qualitative research, namely, the process of understanding, and humans. both natural phenomena and man-made phenomena. These phenomena can be activities, and the difference between one phenomenon and another. This is indicated by the results of the standard deviation which has reached the optimal level. Based on the results of the priority sequence reference, it can be determined that students are required to record microteaching practices. themselves, and upload it to YouTube and then report it to the lecturer. YouTube\u27s selection policy is based on this platform not limiting the length of the video, so students can be as creative as possible in class

PENGARUH MEDIA AUDIO VISUAL TERHADAP MINAT BELAJAR BAHASA LAMPUNG PESERTA DIDIK KELAS IV MIN 7 BANDAR LAMPUNG

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minimnya minat belajar peserta didik dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar Bahasa Lampung, untuk itu dibutuhkan media pembelajaran yang menarik. Dalam penelitian ini penulis memfokuskan pada pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan media audio visual, yaitu media yang memiliki dua unsur yakni unsur suara dan unsur gambar yang dapat membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih mudah dan menarik sehingga dapat menstimulasi peserta didik untuk lebih fokus dan membuat suasana belajar menjadi efektif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media audio visual terhadap minat belajar Bahasa Lampung peserta didik kelas IV MIN 7 Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah Quasi Experiment Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas yaitu kelas IV B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IV A sebagai kelas kontrol. Pada kelas eksperimen diberikan pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan media audio visual sedangkan pada kelas kontrol diberikan pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan media visual. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Cluster Random Sampling atau acak kelas dengan materi Bahasa Lampung Afik Gabungan, Ungkapan, Kalimat Tanya, Kalimat Perintah, Ragam Bahasa dan Aksara Lampung. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data yaitu angket minat belajar. Analisis data yang digunakan yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data hasil penelitian adalah uji-t. Berdasarkan perhitungan diperoleh thitung = -10,342 dengan nilai signifikansi 2-tailed pada equal variances assumed sebesar 0,000 dan 0,000 < 0,05, maka H0 ditolak dengan H1 diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya pengaruh signifikan media audio visual terhadap minat belajar Bahasa Lampung peserta didik. Kata Kunci: Media audio visual, minat belajar dan Bahasa Lampun

UPAYA PENANGGULANGAN MASALAH KESEHATAN REPRODUKSI REMAJA DI KECAMATAN JETIS, YOGYAKARTA

Permasalahan kesehatan reproduksi remaja masih menjadi perhatian pemerintah dan masyarakat, tidak terkecuali pada remaja di Kelurahan Cokrodiningratan, Jetis, Yogyakarta. Tingginya aktivitas dan mobilitas remaja di daerah perkotaan membuat remaja kurang mendapatkan informasi kesehatan reproduksi remaja dengan tepat. Program kerja ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, kesadaran, dan keterampilan remaja terkait masalah kesehatan reproduksi remaja. Metode yang digunakan adalah pemberian edukasi kesehatan reproduksi remaja, bermain peran (role play), dan studi kasus. Kegiatan ini dilakukan selama dua bulan dengan melibatkan 56 remaja di Kelurahan Cokrodiningratan. Partisipasi aktif para remaja sangat jelas terlihat selama pelaksanaan kegiatan. Harapannya kegiatan ini dapat berkelanjutan sehingga dapat berkontribusi dalam menekan angka kasus permasalahan kesehatan reproduksi remaja

DAMPAK SHARIA COMPLIANCE TERHADAP KEUNTUNGAN UMKM DIBANGKALAN

MSMEs have a significant role in economic development in Indonesia, namely by providing job opportunities and expanding job opportunities to the community. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 disease in Indonesia has affected MSMEs in Indonesia, one of them is the problem of decreasing MSME results. Sharia compliance is a sharia compliance guideline used in an MSME activity by sharia rules and does not deviate from Islamic teachings. Profit results from product sales, which is an integral part of MSMEs. The research entitled the effect of sharia compliance on the profits of MSMEs in Bangkalan aims to find out how the implementation of sharia compliance in MSME activities is, how does sharia compliance affect the earnings of MSMEs in Bangkalan.In the preparation of this study using qualitative research methods with normative, descriptive research types, namely by describing the conditions in the research area and then connecting them with references from books and journals. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup dan kinerja pertumbuhan ikan selincah (belontia hasselti) dengan ph berbeda

This study aims to evaluate the effect of pH on growth performance and sustainability of Selincah fish, and to test the optimal pH range that can trigger the best growth performance of Selincah fish. The research method used is single RAL. The results showed that treatment with different pH had significant effect on feed conversion and survival rate of Selincah fish (P>0,05). However, no significant effect on the growth of absolute weight, absolute length and daily growth rate of Selincah fish (P>0,05). The optimal pH range that can trigger the best growth performance of Selincah fish is pH 7,0-7,5 with average value of absolute weight equal to 21,42 gram and average survival value equal to 75

Scabies is an infectious disease caused by the mite Sarcoptes scabei var hominis. This disease develops in communities with dense, damp housing and poor environmental sanitation. The purpose of community service is to provide health education about scabies and increase the knowledge of prisoners about scabies disease and wound care. Community service is carried out by providing health education and demonstrations of wound care. The result of community service is that the knowledge of the inmates regarding scabies can increase and the inmates can take care of scabies wounds independently. Community service participants can participate in activities actively and enthusiastically. Evaluation of community service is carried out by giving questions orally, filling out pre-post test questions, and filling out activity evaluation sheets.
