    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui budaya organisasi dan kinerja pegawai pada Kantor Pelayanan Pajak (KPP) Madya Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, maka teknik pengumpulan data ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, kuesioner/angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara budaya organisasi dan kinerja pegawai di Kantor Pelayanan Pajak (KPP) Madya Makassar, persamaan regresi Y = 2,991 + 0,402X. Budaya organisasi didominasi oleh unsur perhatian pada hal detail dan orientasi pada manfaat, karena kedua unsur tersebut yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai. Pegawai yang mampuberorientasi pada manfaat serta memperhatikan dengan detail terhadap pekerjaan akan memiliki kesempatan untuk mendapatkan kepercayaan lebih oleh atasan, karena yang terbaik adalah yang mendokumentasi segala sesuatu dengan detail. Budaya organisasi memberi pengaruh yang besar yaitu sebesar 72,1% terhadap kinerja pegawai. Budaya organisasi yang kuat akan membantu instansi dalam memberikan kepastian kepada seluruh pegawai untuk berkembang bersama. Bila proses internalisasi instansi menjadi budaya pribadi telah berhasil, maka pegawai akan merasa menyatu dan tidak ada tidak ada halangan untuk mencapai kinerja yang optimal.     Compressible Natural Gas Flow study For Vehicle Refueling Equipment

    There is considerable interest in Malaysia for the use of natural gas as the fuel for transportation. Natural Gas Vehicles (NGV) are known to be more environmentally friendly, safer and of lower fuel cost. To encourage the public to use natural gas, more NGV stations would have to be built. A major constraint in providing this facility is the high construction and operating cost of the stations. This is mainly due to the high cost of the metering system (cost of metering system is RM 80,000 while cost of refueling equipment is RM120, 000) and the compression power needed. The present research is undertaken to find a solution to these problems by developing a new low cost metering system and a new operating system approach which will lower the overall compression power needed at the refueling station by RM 0.89 millions per year. To understand the reasons for the high compression cost, the compressible gas dynamics model of the refueling system is required. The flow of natural gas between the storage and the receiver has been modeled as Fanno Flow. In the event where the storage pressure is significantly higher than the automotive fuel tank, Mach number increases along the dispensing hose and ultimately become one at the tip of the hose. The Mach number cannot become higher than one under the Second Law of Thermodynamic, causing a pressure discontinuity between dispenser tip and automotive fuel tank. Due to the pressure discontinuity, the gas will experience sudden expansion and the expansion experienced by the gas at the pipeline exit was found to be significant thus resulting in high energy loss. To avoid this high energy loss, the study conducted indicates that by utilizing several sources placed at different pressure levels and by gradually changing over from the lower to the higher pressure source, the energy losses could be reduced. From the compressible gas flow model study, a new cascaded storage system which consists of 3 different levels of pressure banks i.e. 2MPa, 1 OMPa and 24.8MPa as low, medium and high pressure bank respectively has been proposed. This new cascaded storage system will help to reduce the operation cost by 17.5% by reducing the compression energy required and also the energy loss during refueling. For developing a simple and cost effective measurement technique, a study on the properties relationship of natural gas is important. From the consideration of several equations of state (EOS) which are available in literature, it is important to find one which can represent the natural gas system with sufficient accuracy. For finding the most suitable equation for the system the approach used was analyzing the relationship between pressure and mass for different types of equations with assistance of HYSYS Software. These theoretical values were then compared with the actual measured experimental values. For natural gas system, the Peng Robinson equation was found to be the most accurate equation for the system with average error of 0.19%. Besides the high compression cost in the filling stations, high metering cost is also an obstacle to the growth of NGV refueling facility. The flow meter used in the metering system namely Coriolis Flow Meter represents about 33.3% of the total typical 2 hose CNG dispenser cost. This project is believed to contribute in reduction of at least 30% (from RM120,000 to RM80,000) of current CNG dispenser capital expenditure (CAPEX) value. From the study of the EOS, a new concept of metering system has been developed, which is based only on measuring the pressure and temperature. This new metering system eliminated the dependency on currently used Coriolis Flow Meter which is a very expensive mass flow meter

    Prevalence and risk factors associated with food insecurity among post-flood victims in Bera District, Pahang Malaysia / Nor Azizah Mohamed

    Previous studies indicate the increment of food insecurity in Malaysia and it might be affect Malaysian nutritional and health status. This cross-sectional study determined the prevalence of food insecurity and examined the risk factors that contribute to the food insecure among the post flood victims in Bera district, Pahang Malaysia. Convenience sampling was applied and 210 households participated in this study. Household food security scales, chi-square and logistic regression were utilized to determined percentage of food insecure among flood victims and determined of factors associated with household food insecurity respectively. This study reported prevalence of food insecurity after flood at Bera district, Pahang Malaysia are 11.9% by using Household Food Insecurity Access Scale (HFIAS) while 34.9% by using Household Food Security Survey Module (HFSSM) tools. Logistic regression indicates the risk factors that associated with household food insecure among post flood victims are home damage, large household composition, and unaffordable food prices which 0.446, 1.18 and 5.94 times tend to food insecure respectively. Thus, this finding provide guidance on how to build more sustainable, resilient communities that immune to food security crisis over the long term and help government to plan proper policy regarding food security during flood.     The relationship between monetary rewards and job satisfaction among administrative personnel at selected public schools in Dungun district, Terengganu / Nor Azizah Salleh

    The purpose of this correlational study was to analyse the relationship between monetary rewards and job satisfaction among administrative personnel at selected public schools in Dungun District. Terengganu. 43 respondents completed the survey questionnaire which was adopted from Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) (1967) and Robles (2018). This study used the population as the respondents and the response rate was 100%. SPSS V-22 was used to analyse the questionnaires in order to determine the result. Most of the respondents were from Sekolah Menengah (SM) Imtiaz Dungun with grade position of N19 and have 15 to 20 years working experience. There was very strong positive relationship between monetary rewards and job satisfaction among administrative personnel at selected public schools in Dungun District. Terengganu (r=0.84, p=0.00). The findings showed that the correlation was significant as a result for allowance (r=0.83, p=0.00), salary (r-0.80, p=0.00) and bonuses (=0.73, p=0.00). Generally, administrative personnel's satisfaction was at highly satisfied (M=4.0I, SD=0.71). Majority of the respondents also perceived that they satisfied with their works and believed that they have secured jobs. It was recommended that the organization increase salary for employees and consider more allocation for bonuses and allowance. Future study should consider other industry and cover a larger range of area in order to gain a more comprehensive and significant result of analysis

    Vibriosis Vaccine Development: Pathogenesis, Immunological And Molecular Characterization Of Vibrio Alginolyticus

    The aim of the research is to develop an effective vaccine against vibriosis. Vibriosis is a bacterial disease caused by Vibrio spp due to the intensive production activity of brackishwater ponds and cage-cultured fish. The pathogenicity study of V alginolyticus was performed by challenging the juvenile seabass (10±0.75 g) with 5 different isolates of V alginolyticus at different cell concentrations. All the isolates caused mortality to fish at a concentration as low as 0.2 optical density (6.28 X 103 CFU/ml). Ultrastructure changes observed by scanning and transmission electron microscopy, revealed the presence of V .alginolyticus in the gills, liver, muscle, spleen and kidney of infected fish. In addition, the V .alginolyticus cells were observed in the spleen. These pathological changes showed that V alginolyticus was responsible for the death of the infected seabass

    Design And Analysis Of Three-To-Five-Phase Transformer For Multiphase Load

    This research is focusing on a development of a multiphase transformer, or more specifically a three-to-five-phase transformer. The development of this transformer is based on the manipulation of the phasor diagram. The two input voltage phasors are added together in order to generate the output voltage on the secondary side of the three-to-five-phase transformer. The connection is modelled and validated in finite elements methods (FEM) software prior to the fabrication process. The performance of the developed three-to-five-phase transformer is analysed experimentally using No-load test and then followed by using two types of load; static resistance (R) and inductive (L) load and finally with the dynamic load. The No-load test is performed to verify the calculated phase to phase turn ratio, which in this case is 1: 1. Thus, the amplitude of the output voltage is equal to the input voltage. For the static load test, each phase of the transformer is connected to the R load and the RL load that connected in series. Then, the analysis of the three-to-five-phase transformer with dynamic load is conducted by using a five-phase squirrel cage induction motor. The developed transformer is supplying the motor that has been coupled with electromagnetic brake. The braking power of the electromagnetic brake can be increased or decreased by varying the variable DC voltage supply. This experiment has been carried out to represent the actual load as in the industrial machineries or equipment. Therefore, the successful of static transformation design is elaborated by using the simulation and experimentation method. The simulations result is capable to generate five-phase output and the five-phase induction motor under loaded condition is used to prove the viability of the transformation system. Finally, it is expected that the development of three-to-five-phase transformer can be used for drives application and may also be further explored to be utilized in power transmission system

They have shown a great attention of knowledge management in their business strategy incorporated with technology. The role of technological tools and applications is essential in supporting and enhancing knowledge management strategy. There has been a transition from traditional information system to new a concept of knowledge management system employed by organization to sustain competitive advantage in dynamic and unstable environment. Further, to shift the paradigm of knowledge management systems concept from business sectors, this study focused on the KMS applications and tools particularly in Institutions of Higher Education (IHE) environment. The purpose of this study is to (a) identify the relationship of business strategy, knowledge management (KM) Strategy, knowledge management systems (KMS) strategy, information system (IS) strategy and information technology (IT) strategy, particularly in the context of IHE, (b) describe those strategies and their relationship based on the context of IHE. This will provide guidance and effective methods for formulating the KMS strategy with the aim to align it with business strategies and ensuring success of its implementation
