Estratégias de visibilidade utilizadas por movimentos sociais na internet

RESUMOO presente trabalho analisa como um movimento ambiental específico, aquele ligado às açães da organização SOS Mata Atlântica, utiliza o espaço virtual como ferramenta para ampliar sua visibilidade pública. Partindo de reflexões teóricas sobre as estratégias de ação dos movimentos sociais no ambiente online, o texto busca revelar como esses movimentos se articulam com a sociedade civil e com a mídia, considerando as ferramentas dialógicas que o meio proporciona para garantir maior agilidade de difusão das informações, interatividade, engajamento e incentivo ao ativismo. Ao final, destaca-se que as entidades ambientais se rearticulam no espaço virtual, expandindo fronteiras e conquistando novos adeptos. Porém é possível afirmar que as estratégias de visibilidade pública por elas empregadas estimulam, mas não asseguram a participaç*atilde;o política, o engajamento cívico e o ativismo em rede. Palavras-chave: Mídia Radical; Visibilidade; Movimentos Sociais; Sociedade Civil; Espaço Virtual. RESUMENEl propsito de este artículo es analizar como un movimiento social específico, ligado a las acciones de la organización SOS Mata Atlántica, usa el espacio virtual como herramienta para ampliar su visibilidad pública. A partir de reflexiones teóricas sobre las estrategias de la acción de los movimientos sociales en la Web, el texto procura mostrar como estos movimientos si articulan con la sociedad civil y la prensa, usando las herramientas de dialogo proporcionadas por Internet para garantizar la mayor agilidad de la difusión de la información, el interactividad, la participación y el incentivo al activismo. Al final, destaca-se que las entidades ambientales buscan rearticular-se en el espacio virtual, expandiendo fronteras e conquistando nuevos adeptos. Sin embargo es posible afirmar que las estrategias de la visibilidad pública utilizadas les estimulan pero no aseguran la política de la participación, la inscripción cívica y el activismo en red.Palabras clave: Medios radicales; Visibilidad; Movimientos sociales; Sociedad civil; Espacio virtual.ABSTRACTThe aim of this work is to analyze how a specific social movement, tied to the actions developed by the SOS Mata Atlntica organization, uses the virtual space as a strategic tool to extend its public visibility. Considering the theoretical reflections on the online action strategies of the social movements, the text searches to show how these movements articulate with civil society and the media, using the dialogical tools provided by internet to guarantee greater agility of information diffusion, interactivity, engagement and incentive to activism. At the end we argue that the environmental entities can articulate themselves in the virtual space, expanding borders and conquering new adepts. Facebook como espaço de ação virtual: uma análise sobre as reações discursivas na fan page de um movimento ambiental

This article aims to map the discursive reactions found in reviews of internet-readers in a post of the environmental movement Greenpeace Brazil on Facebook and evaluates primarily how such reactions might interfere in the public visibility and legitimacy of the movement built by the speech published on the site. The hypothesis of this work is that, by the reactions, surfers can conquer the political expression they want, but have limited levels of conversation and participation and may be unable to contribute to the visibility and legitimacy of the institution. We sought to identify the characteristics of reactions and levels of the detached participation and, finally, analyze primarily the interference of such reactions. For this, we adopted as the theoretical assumptions the Semiolinguistics Theory of Patrick Charaudeau and other theorists on digital subjectivity, as well as some more philosophical discussions on the scope of social networks.Keywords: social network, environmental movement, discursive reactions.Este artigo tem como finalidade mapear as reações discursivas encontradas em comentários de internautas-leitores em um post do movimento ambiental Greenpeace Brasil no Facebook e avalia, primariamente, como tais reações podem vir a interferir na visibilidade pública e legitimidade do movimento, construídas pelo discurso publicado no site. A hipótese do trabalho é a de que, pelas reações, os internautas podem conquistar a expressão política que desejam, porém, possuem níveis limitados de conversação e participação, podendo ser incapazes de contribuir para a visibilidade e legitimidade da instituição. Buscamos identificar as características das reações e os níveis de participação depreendidos e, por fim, analisar, primariamente, a interferência de tais reações. Consideradas até a década de 1980 como “segunda categoria”, as mulheres tiveram suas vozes abafadas e silenciadas pela sociedade patriarcal, em especial em ambientes políticos. Tal silenciamento reflete na carência do posicionamento feminino em lutas abrangentes e urgentes, como as ambientais. Hoje em dia, a luta feminina contra o extermínio da natureza é sustentada pelo uso do espaço virtual, principalmente do site de rede social Facebook, meio que se mostra favorável à expressão política dessas mulheres. O site tem proporcionado sobretudo certa autonomia para a disseminação do discurso, além de maior visibilidade e legitimação para a causa ambiental. Sob essas premissas, nossa pesquisa analisa a constituição de um ethos ativista pela investigação das narrativas digitais disseminadas pelas ambientalistas em seus perfis no Facebook. As ativistas escolhidas para a pesquisa são as brasileiras Ana e Mayan. Utilizamos como base teórica e metodológica a Análise do Discurso, bem como os estudos sobre ethos, ciberativismo e narratividade digital. Considered as “second category” until the 1980s, women had their voices silenced by patriarchal society, especially in political environments. Such silencing reflects the lack of female positioning in comprehensive and urgent struggles, such as environmental ones. Currently, the women’s fight against the extermination of nature is supported by the use of virtual space, especially the social networking site Facebook, which is favorable to the political expression of these women. The site has mainly provided a certain autonomy for the dissemination of the discourse, in addition to greater visibility and legitimacy for the environmental cause. Under these premises, our research analyzes the constitution of an activist ethos through the investigation of digital narratives disseminated by environmentalists in their Facebook profiles. The activists chosen for the research are the Brazilian Ana and Mayan. We used as a theoretical and methodological basis Discourse Analysis, as well as the studies on ethos, cyber-activism, and digital narrativity. During the research, we identified certain narrative strategies used by the environmentalists on the site, important for the constitution of the activist ethos on Facebook, as well as traits of feminist positioning and self-identification, recognizing the specificity of women’s struggle in the environmental cause, thus becoming a double activism, marked by feminist environmentalism.Keywords: ethos, environmentalism, counter-hegemonic discourse, digital narratives, Facebook

A importância da aplicação das normas técnicas para montagens de quadros elétricos de baixa tensão - estudo de caso em uma empresa do distrito industrial de Manaus: The importance of applying technical standards for assembling low voltage switchboards - a case study in a company in the industrial district of Manaus

Considerando a importância do uso das normas técnicas exigidas pela ABNT quando se trata de montagem e instalações de quadros elétricos de baixa tensão, este artigo apresenta um estudo de caso com base em quadros elétricos montados em uma empresa do Polo Industrial de Manaus (PIM). Relatando-se as não conformidades nos quadros encontradas por não se enquadrarem nas especificações técnicas exigidas pelas normas. Uma realidade infelizmente comum em algumas empresas, trazendo assim, sérios riscos para a indústria, colaboradores e todo o processo realizado internamente na empresa

High Power Laser and Photobiomodulation in Oral Surgery: Case Report

Introduction: The labial frenum is a fold of mucous membrane that attaches the lip and the cheek to the alveolar mucosa, the gingiva, and the underlying periosteum. In some cases, its presence can cause a midline diastema, periodontal diseases related to food impaction, or retention of biofilm, among others. In such cases, lip frenectomy is indicated as treatment, which can be performed with a scalpel (conventional method), an electric scalpel, or a surgical laser.Objective: To show a clinical case performed at Laser Extension Project in Dentistry, Federal University of Maranhão grounded in a literature review.Case Presentation: A laser frenectomy was performed on a female patient, aged 20, who had a diastema between the upper central incisors and an indication for frenum removal. The high-power diode laser is excellent for procedures in soft tissue because its wavelength is well absorbed by hemoglobin and other pigments; its use also allows a reduction in the amount of anesthetic and medicines used. The parameters used were 2 W, in a continuous mode, 808 nm infrared emission; with delivery of the beam through optical fiber 300 μM; energy of 120 J; 20 pps.Conclusion: the high power diode laser allowed a satisfactory result, the procedure was safe, the technique was a simple one and of reduced clinical time, as mentioned in the literature. It is worth noting that the technique is dependent on the skill of the professional performing it

Photobiomodulation therapy in the treatment of temporomandibular disorders: Case report

Objective: To report a clinical case using the photobiomodulation in the treatment of the temporomandibular dysfunction providing analgesia and greater buccal opening. Case report: Patient, 24-year-old, female, with temporomandibular dysfunction was treated in the “Laser Therapy in Dentistry” extension project at the Federal University of Maranhão. The diagnosis was made through a careful anamnesis, clinical examination and questionnaire application. The laser device used in the treatment was the low power one whose active medium is composed by a semiconductor diode of Gallium and Aluminum Arsenide (GaAlAs). The protocol used for the treatment was 808 nm wavelength, 60 s, 6 J energy per point, in a total of ten sessions. In the second session, during the evaluation, the patient reported a significant improvement in the degree of pain and the measure of mouth opening ranged from 25 mm to 40 mm. Conclusion: Photobiomodulation has proved to be an effective modality for the treatment of this disorder.Objetivo: Relatar um caso clínico utilizando a terapia de fotobiomodulação no tratamento da disfunção temporomandibular proporcionando analgesia e maior abertura bucal. Relato de caso: Paciente, gênero feminino, 24 anos e portadora de disfunção temporomandibular, foi atendida para tratamento no projeto de extensão “Laserterapia em Odontologia” da Universidade Federal do Maranhão. O diagnóstico foi feito através de uma anamnese criteriosa, exame clínico e aplicação de questionário. O aparelho de laser utilizado no tratamento foi o de baixa potência cujo meio ativo é composto por um diodo semicondutor de Arseneto de Gálio e Alumínio (GaAlAs). O protocolo utilizado para o tratamento foi de comprimento de onda 808 nm, 60 s, 6 J de energia por ponto, em um total de dez sessões. Já na segunda sessão, durante a avaliação, a paciente relatou melhora significativa do grau de dor e a medida de abertura bucal variou de 25 mm a 40 mm. Conclusão: A fotobiomodulação se mostrou uma modalidade eficaz para o tratamento desta desordem
