Domain of validity of Szegö quadrature formulas

AbstractAs is well known, the n-point Szegö quadrature formula integrates correctly any Laurent polynomial in the subspace span{1/zn-1,…,1/z,1,z,…,zn-1}. In this paper we enlarge this subspace. We prove that a set of 2n linearly independent Laurent polynomials are integrated correctly. The obtained result is used for the construction of Szegö quadrature formulas. Illustrative examples are given

Konflikter, konfliktmønstre og skriftlighet

The aim of the article is to discuss the nature and development of a political culture based on the concepts of ritual, mutuality and trust. The development of a more restricted, but also more predictable political culture is linked to the emergence of a popular literacy. The main aim is to look at the development in Norway c. 1300–1600 in a European context. The article maps the stages of popular resistance, from causes via legal and illegal forms of activism, to the aftermath and restauration of order. The article argues that these conflicts follow established patterns, and that the last stage is a stage of negotiations dressed as a ritual of re-establishing mutual trust. Finally, it is argued that the development of a popular, if limited, literacy in the late medieval period narrows the political “space” for both subjects and rulers, and thus increases a common understanding and acceptance of a set of political “rules”

Omsetjing av planteøstrogen hos mjølkeku - effekt av botanisk samansetjing av surfôret

Planteøstrogena formononetin og daidzein blir i stor grad omsatt til equol og vidare til ukjende sambindingar i vomma. Nedbrytinga av planteøstrogena i vom var sterkare i surfôr laga på raigras og langvarig artsrik eng enn i surfôr laga av timoteieng eller kortvarig eng med raudkløver. Attfinninga av planteøstrogena var størst i gjødsel og minst i mjølk. Omsetjinga av equol i kroppen (intermediær) var avgrensa av fart (rate limiting) medan dette synest ikkje å vere tilfelle i vom og tarm
