Gottfried Laurenz Pictorius

Die heutige Bedeutung der Baumeisterfamilie Pictorius gründet vor allem auf dem Schaffen des Gottfried Laurenz Pictorius, der von 1686 bis 1729 das Amt des münsterschen Landingenieurs bekleidete. Er ist somit der direkte Amtsvorgänger J.C. Schlauns. Sein architektonisches Werk begann 1697 mit den Vorplanungen für die Nordkirchener Residenz des Fürstbischofs Plettenberg und seinen Vorschlägen für das Sassenberger Hauptschloss. Kurz vor 1700 begannen auch die Planungen für den in Münster Zeichen setzenden Beverfoerder Hof. Es schloss sich eine Serie von Adelshöfen und Domkurien an. Das krönende Spätwerk ist das ehem. Jesuitenkolleg in Büren. Bei einigen Projekten lässt sich eine Mitarbeit des Bruders Peter Pictorius feststellen. Vor allem die Nordkirchen-Pläne des Gottfried Laurenz wurden durch Peter Pictorius in eine gefälligere Form gebracht, wie es vor allem bei der Portal- und Fenstergestaltung zu Tage tritt

In vitro Untersuchungen allergenspezifischer T-Zellen mittels ELISpot-Assay bei der Spättypallergie gegen Betalaktam-Antibiotika

Spättypallergien gegen Betalaktam-Antibiotika stellen ein großes klinisches Problem dar, und eine allergologische Abklärung sollte immer erfolgen. Eine In-vitro-Methode zum Nachweis einer Spättypallergie ist bisher nicht verfügbar. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde der ELISpot-Assay (IFN-γ, IL-4, IL-5, IL-13) für den Einsatz in der In-vitro-Diagnostik von Spättypallergien gegen Betalaktame modifiziert und als Testmethode evaluiert. Bei 19 von 20 Patienten mit einer Spättypallergie gegen Betalaktam-Antibiotika konnte eine allergenspezifische Zytokinfreisetzung aus PBMC nachgewiesen werden

Errors in transrectal ultrasonic planimetry of the prostate: Computer simulation of volumetric errors applied to a screening population

Three systemic errors in routine ultrasonic planimetric volume measurements of the prostate were assessed. A computer model using ellipsoids was used to simulate the step section technique and different forms of rotational movements of the prostate during planimetry. D-Branes, Holonomy and M-Theory

We show that M-theory on spaces with irreducible holonomy represent Type IIA backgrounds in which a collection of D6-branes wrap a supersymmetric cycle in a manifold with a holonomy group different from the one appearing in the M-theory description. For example, we show that D6-branes wrapping a supersymmetric four-cycle on a manifold with G_2 holonomy is described in eleven dimensions by M-theory on a space with Spin(7) holonomy. Examples of such Type IIA backgrounds which lift to M-theory on spaces with SU(3), G_2, SU(4) and Spin(7) holonomy are considered. The M-theory geometry can then be used to compute exact quantities of the gauge theory on the corresponding D-brane configuration.Comment: 20 pages, harvmac, typos correcte
