Es gliedert sich in die Kapitel Bedeutung und Ziele der Agrarpolitik, Das ökonomische Koordinierungsproblem und die Aufgabe von Märkten, Strukturwandel in der Landwirtschaft, Marktversagen, öffentliche Güter und externe Effekte, die gemeinsame Agrarpolitik der EU, Die Reformphase der Gemeinsamen Agrarpolitik nach 1992, Institutionen und politische Entscheidungsprozesse der EU.     This publication shows a viscosity model that accounts for cell migration in blood flow conditions for narrow gap flows and flow conditions similar to that of Ventricular Assist Devices. The groundwork for this model is derived from optical measurements in a microchannel with blood analog fluid and is validated with newly measured data using pig’s blood. The data of the optical measurements is used to determine the particle distribution in the channel. With predefined parameters like the Reynolds number and the Channel Height as well as measurements for the viscosity of the fluid, the viscosity model is then able to calculate and plot the particle concentration and viscosity distribution over the channel height. Also included in this model is a step function that to simplify the distribution. Using this model in simulations showed that the Wall Shear Stress from that Simulations is closer to the values of the experiments than the simulations without this model

    During an investigation on the effects that bottom-trawling, we found that otter boards that keep the nets open, bury surface sediment at a few centimeters sediment depth. This is also done by animals living in the sediment and the process is considered very important for sediment ecosystem integrity. We try to differentiate between the two and estimate that natural bioturbation is much more likely than otter board sediment reversal in OUR sediment areas

    The desiccation-tolerant vascular plants (DT plants) are often perceived as plants able to deal with environmental harshness and paradigms concerning ecological aspects of desiccation tolerance have been developed. Here, we discuss the ecology of DT plants, testing untested paradigms and fulfilling knowledge gaps regarding their ecology and conservation by combining biogeographical and functional approaches from a taxonomic, phylogenetic, and conservation perspective.Die austrocknungstoleranten Gefäßpflanzen (AT-Pflanzen) werden oft als Pflanzen angesehen, die in der Lage sind, mit Umweltrauheiten umzugehen, und es wurden Paradigmen bezüglich ökologischer Aspekte der Austrocknungstoleranz entwickelt.     Fundamentals determining activity and product selectivity in the oxidative coupling of methane over MnOx-M2WO4/SiO2 (M=Na, K, Rb, or Cs)

    The present thesis contributes to a better understanding of one of the most promising catalysts for the oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) reaction, i.e., MnOx-Na2WO4/SiO2. Oxygen species involved in selective and unselective pathways were investigated using O2 and N2O as the oxidants. Spatially resolved and steady-state kinetic analyses combined with oxygen isotopic exchange tests were used to identify the activity-defining descriptor over M2WO4/SiO2 (M=Na, K, Rb, or Cs).
