QCD resummation in hard diffractive dijet production at the electron-ion collider
Diffractive dijet production at the electron-ion collider (EIC) has been proposed to study the gluon Wigner distribution at small-x. We investigate the soft gluon radiation associated with the final state jets and an all order resummation formula is derived. We show that the soft gluon resummation plays an important role to describe E791 data on Ï-induced diffractive dijet production at Fermilab. Predictions for the EIC are presented, and we emphasize that the soft gluon resummation is an important aspect to explore the nucleon/nucleus tomography through these processes
Jet evolution from weak to strong coupling
Recent studies, using the AdS/CFT correspondence, of the radiation produced
by a decaying system or by an accelerated charge in the N=4 supersymmetric
Yang-Mills theory, led to a striking result: the 'supergravity backreaction',
which is supposed to describe the energy density at infinitely strong coupling,
yields exactly the same result as at zero coupling, that is, it shows no trace
of quantum broadening. We argue that this is not a real property of the
radiation at strong coupling, but an artifact of the backreaction calculation,
which is unable to faithfully capture the space-time distribution of the
radiation. This becomes obvious in the case of a decaying system ('virtual
photon'), for which the backreaction is tantamount to computing a three-point
function in the conformal gauge theory, which is independent of the coupling
since protected by symmetries. Whereas this non-renormalization property is
specific to the conformal N=4 SYM theory, we argue that the failure of the
three-point function to provide a local measurement is in fact generic: it
holds in any field theory with non-trivial interactions. To properly study a
localized distribution, one should rather compute a four-point function, as
standard in deep inelastic scattering. We substantiate these considerations
with studies of the radiation produced by the decay of a time-like photon at
both weak and strong coupling. We show that by computing four-point functions,
in perturbation theory at weak coupling and, respectively, from Witten diagrams
at strong coupling, one can follow the quantum evolution and thus demonstrate
the broadening of the energy distribution. This broadening is slow when the
coupling is weak but it proceeds as fast as possible in the limit of a strong
coupling.Comment: 49 pages, 6 figure
Aspects of the UV/IR correspondence : energy broadening and string fluctuations
We show that a source which radiates in the vacuum of the strongly coupled
N=4 SYM theory produces an energy distribution which, in the supergravity
approximation, has the same space-time pattern as the corresponding classical
distribution: the radiation propagates at the speed of light without
broadening. We illustrate this on the basis of several examples: a small
perturbation propagating down a steady string, a massless particle falling into
AdS_5, and the decay of a time-like wave-packet. A similar observation was made
in Phys. Rev. D81 (2010) 126001 for the case of a rotating string. In all these
cases, the absence of broadening is related to the fact that the energy
backreaction on the boundary arises exclusively from the bulk perturbation at,
or near, the boundary. This is so since bulk sources which propagate in AdS_5
at the speed of light do not generate any energy on the boundary. We interpret
these features as an artifact of the supergravity approximation, which fails to
encode quantum mechanical fluctuations that should be present even in the
strong coupling limit. We argue that such fluctuations should enter the dual
string theory as longitudinal string fluctuations, which are not suppressed at
strong coupling. We heuristically estimate the effects of such fluctuations and
argue that they restore the broadening of the radiation, in agreement with
expectations from both quantum mechanics and the ultraviolet/infrared
correspondence.Comment: 47 page
The Global Correspondence Principle: A Generalization
This paper generalizes the Global Correspondence Principle by extending, in two major ways, Paul Samuelson\u27s 1971 analysis of the exchange rate response to an international purchasing-power transfer. We analyze the price effect of a shift in any parameter, not necessarily a transfer. We then explore the resulting adjustments in any nonprice variable such as we/fare. As our analysis shows, the direction of these adjustments depends neither on whether they are small or large nor on whether equilibrium is locally stable or unstable

Fermentation Ability of Lactobacillus Plantarum on the Infertile Egg at Different Incubation TIME
The use of infertile egg can be offset by increasing the quality of product by fermentation to be a highly competitive commodity. Fermented yield can be used as functional food ingredients which are good for health, for facilitating absorption, and for extending the shelf life of the product. The purpose of this research was to determine the fermentation ability of Lactobacillus plantarum on the infertile egg at different incubation time. Infertile egg was broken and sterilized for 15 minutes and then fermented for 0, 2, and 4 days. Parameters measured in this research were the total count of L. plantarum, pH value, lactic acid content, and moisture content. Experimental data were analyzed using analysis of variance of completely randomized design. The results showed that total L. plantarum (Log10 CFU/ml) increased in line with the incubation time, i.e. 8.3, 9.31, 9.73, respectively for day 0, 2, and 4 of the incubation time. The pH decreased as incubation time increased, namely 7.05, 5.67, 5.36, respectively for day 0, 2, and 4. The value of lactic acid content for day 0, 2, and 4 of incubation period was 0.62%, 1.28%, 2.15%, respectively while the water content was 71.3%, 73.21%, and 74.94%, respectively. In conclusion, this research proved the existence of the fermentation ability of L. plantarumtowards the infertile egg which were indicated by the increase of the total count of L. plantarum, lactid acid content and moisture content, even though pH value decreased as the incubation period increased. The optimum time of the incubation period was 4 days
Stock Prediction Based on Twitter Sentiment Extraction Using BiLSTM-Attention
A profitable stock price prediction will yield a large profit. According to behavioural economics, other people's emotions and viewpoints have a significant impact on business. One of them is the rise and fall of stock prices. Previous studies have shown that public sentiments retrieved from online information can be very valuable on market trading. In this paper, we propose a model that works well in predicting future stock prices by using public sentiments from social media. The online information used in this research is financial tweets collected from Twitter and the stock prices values retrieved from Yahoo! Finance. We collected tweets related to Netflix Company stocks and the stock prices for the same period which is 5 years from 2015 to 2020 as the dataset. We extracted the sentiment value using VADER algorithm. In this paper, we apply a Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM) architecture to achieve our goal. Moreover, we created seven different experiments with different stock price parameters and selected sentiment values combinations and investigated the model by adding an attention layer. We experimented with two different sentiment values, tweetâs compound value and tweetâs compound value multiplied by favorites count. We considered the favorites count as one representation of public sentiments. From the seven experiments, the experiment with Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM) - attention model combined with our selected stock price parameters namely close price, open price, and using Twitter sentiment values that are multiplied with the tweetâs favorites count yields a better RMSE result of 2.482e-02 in train set and 2.981e-02 in the test set
