Model to Predict Duty of Community Nurses in Promotive and Preventive Care
Community nurses had important role in promotive and preventive care in community. Aim of the study was to make model to predict community nurses role in promotive and preventive care based on Health Promotion Model (HPM). Design of the study was used explanatory with cross sectional approach. Sum of participant was 161. This study was conducted in 11 Public Health Center in Banyuwangi at 1 January to 30 January 2018. Methods of data collection was cluster sampling. The data was analysed using smartPLS software.. Inner model: personal factors (t=1.981), interpersonal influences (t=4.036), situational influences (5.720), commitment (t=5.138) had affected to community nurses duty in promotive and preventive care. This model could predict community nurses duty in promotive and preventive care in high level (Q=0.998). That was important to enhance of community nurses duty through modifying commitment of nurses, interpersonal influence factors, personal factors and situational influence factors
Ion and polymer dynamics in polymer electrolytes PPO-LiClO4: II. 2H and 7Li NMR stimulated-echo experiment
We use 2H NMR stimulated-echo spectroscopy to measure two-time correlation
functions characterizing the polymer segmental motion in polymer electrolytes
PPO-LiClO4 near the glass transition temperature Tg. To investigate effects of
the salt on the polymer dynamics, we compare results for different ether oxygen
to lithium ratios, namely, 6:1, 15:1, 30:1 and infinity. For all compositions,
we find nonexponential correlation functions, which can be described by a
Kohlrausch function. The mean correlation times show quantitatively that an
increase of the salt concentration results in a strong slowing down of the
segmental motion. Consistently, for the high 6:1 salt concentration, a high
apparent activation energy E_a=4.1eV characterizes the temperature dependence
of the mean correlation times at Tg < T< 1.1T_g, while smaller values E_a=2.5eV
are observed for moderate salt contents. The correlation functions are most
nonexponential for 15:1 PPO-LiClO4, whereas the stretching is reduced for
higher and lower salt concentrations. A similar dependence of the correlation
functions on the evolution time in the presence and in the absence of ions
indicates that addition of salt hardly affects the reorientational mechanism.
For all compositions, mean jump angles of about 15 degree characterize the
segmental reorientation. In addition, comparison of results from 2H and 7Li NMR
stimulated-echo experiments suggests a coupling of ion and polymer dynamics in
15:1 PPO-LiClO4.Comment: 14 pages, 12 figure
Multi-Channel Transport in Disordered Medium under Generic Scattering Conditions
Our study of the evolution of transmission eigenvalues, due to changes in
various physical parameters in a disordered region of arbitrary dimensions,
results in a generalization of the celebrated DMPK equation. The evolution is
shown to be governed by a single complexity parameter which implies a deep
level of universality of transport phenomena through a wide range of disordered
regions. We also find that the interaction among eigenvalues is of many body
type that has important consequences for the statistical behavior of transport

Mount St. Helens aerosol evolution
Stratospheric aerosol samples were collected using a wire impactor during the year following the eruption of Mount St. Helens. Analysis of samples shows that aerosol volume increased for 6 months due to gas-to-particle conversion and then decreased to background levels in the following 6 months
Direct conversion of rheological compliance measurements into storage and loss moduli
We remove the need for Laplace/inverse-Laplace transformations of
experimental data, by presenting a direct and straightforward mathematical
procedure for obtaining frequency-dependent storage and loss moduli
( and respectively), from time-dependent experimental
measurements. The procedure is applicable to ordinary rheological creep
(stress-step) measurements, as well as all microrheological techniques, whether
they access a Brownian mean-square displacement, or a forced compliance. Data
can be substituted directly into our simple formula, thus eliminating
traditional fitting and smoothing procedures that disguise relevant

Kinetic equations for thermal degradation of polymers
Kinetic equations are analyzed for thermal degradation of polymers. The
governing relations are based on the fragmentation-annihilation concept.
Explicit solutions to these equations are derived in two particular cases of
interest. For arbitrary values of adjustable parameters, the evolution of the
number-average and mass-average molecular weights of polymers is analyzed
numerically. Good agreement is demonstrated between the results of numerical
simulation and experimental data. It is revealed that the model can correctly
predict observations in thermo-gravimetric tests when its parameters are
determined by matching experimental data for the decrease in molecular weight
with exposure time
Lived experience of Indonesian nurses in Japan: A phenomenological study
© 2016 Japan Academy of Nursing Science. Aim: The movement of Indonesian nurses via a bilateral agreement with Japan has led to a substantial number of migrants to work as nurses in that nation's healthcare system. The purpose of this research was to develop a deeper understanding of the meaningful experiences of Indonesian nurses while working in Japanese hospitals. Methods: In this phenomenological study, sampling was purposive and was based on information shared by five Indonesian nurses. The data were collected in interviews; the analysis was thematic. Results: Six key themes were identified: (i) seeking better than before; (ii) communication challenges; (iii) the nursing examination as a culmination; (iv) differences in nursing practice; (v) cultural differences; and (vi) the benefits of living in developed country. Among these challenges, communication as the basis of shared meaning and understanding was viewed as a complex issue, by both patients and coworkers. Conclusion: The results of this study call for further intervention in supporting Indonesian nurses living in Japan in their struggle with the issue of communication. The emphasis on language acquisition for personal and professional objectives, and the bridging of cultural differences as well, should be considered in an international context
Food activities and identity maintenance in old age: a systematic review and meta-synthesis

Nutrition is one aspect of active ageing, but little is known about how food activities contribute to psychological well-being in later life. This is a systematic review of qualitative and quantitative research that answers the question ‘What is known about the relationship between food activities and the maintenance of identities in old age?’
Rashba spin orbit interaction in a quantum wire superlattice
In this work we study the effects of a longitudinal periodic potential on a
parabolic quantum wire defined in a two-dimensional electron gas with Rashba
spin-orbit interaction. For an infinite wire superlattice we find, by direct
diagonalization, that the energy gaps are shifted away from the usual Bragg
planes due to the Rashba spin-orbit interaction. Interestingly, our results
show that the location of the band gaps in energy can be controlled via the
strength of the Rashba spin-orbit interaction. We have also calculated the
charge conductance through a periodic potential of a finite length via the
non-equilibrium Green's function method combined with the Landauer formalism.
We find dips in the conductance that correspond well to the energy gaps of the
infinite wire superlattice. From the infinite wire energy dispersion, we derive
an equation relating the location of the conductance dips as a function of the
(gate controllable) Fermi energy to the Rashba spin-orbit coupling strength. We
propose that the strength of the Rashba spin-orbit interaction can be extracted
via a charge conductance measurement.Comment: 9 pages, 9 figure
Nonlinear transport of Bose-Einstein condensates through mesoscopic waveguides
We study the coherent flow of interacting Bose-condensed atoms in mesoscopic
waveguide geometries. Analytical and numerical methods, based on the mean-field
description of the condensate, are developed to study both stationary as well
as time-dependent propagation processes. We apply these methods to the
propagation of a condensate through an atomic quantum dot in a waveguide,
discuss the nonlinear transmission spectrum and show that resonant transport is
generally suppressed due to an interaction-induced bistability phenomenon.
Finally, we establish a link between the nonlinear features of the transmission
spectrum and the self-consistent quasi-bound states of the quantum dot.Comment: 23 pages, 16 figure
