Aunque el algodón, en tanto cultivo tradicional de la Provincia del Chaco, es y ha sido objeto de estudios que han producido vasta bibliografía sobre el cultivo, los pequeños productores algodoneros, como sujetos rurales, no han sido objeto de análisis profundos respecto de sus características identitarias. En este trabajo se analizan algunas dimensiones económicas de las relaciones sociales presentes en el discurso de pequeños productores algodoneros, mediante marcas discursivas precisas para acercarnos a aquellas categorías con las que los pequeños productores se identifican. Se hace hincapié en la relación de los productores con los cosecheros del algodón, por tratarse de un vínculo que ha sido históricamente paradigmático, y porque en el análisis del mismo se destacan las diferencias que nos permiten dar identidad a uno u otro actor.Although cotton, as a traditional crop in Provincia del Chaco, is and has been an object of studies that have produced vast literature about the crop, small cotton producers– as rural subjects –have not been the object of deep analysis on the matter of their identity characteristics. In this study, some economic dimensions of the social relationships present in small cotton producers’ discourse are analyzed, through precise discourse marks that bring us closer to those categories with which small producers identify themselves. Emphasis is made on the relationships of cotton producers and harvesters, because it is a link that has been historically paradigmatic, and because through its analysis the differences that allow identifying one or the other actor are highlighted.Fil: Núñez López, Manuelita. ¿Qué tienen de pedagógicos los procesos de evaluación participativa de acciones comunitarias? Algunas aportaciones desde la práctica

L’avaluació participativa és una estratègia metodològica que promou la implicació de tots els agents que es relacionen amb un programa o projecte, i no només els perfils tècnics i professionals, en la valoració i en la presa de decisions conjuntes que permet la millora del que s’avalua. Són ja diverses les recerques que senyalen l’avaluació participativa com un procés formatiu, en què tant les persones implicades com les organitzacions en què es du a terme desenvolupen aprenentatges. A través d’un disseny de recerca qualitatiu que permet monitoritzar tres processos d’avaluació participativa d’accions comunitàries en tres Plans de DesenvolupamentComunitari de Catalunya, s’entrevista les tècniques comunitàries responsables de la gestió d’aquests plans comunitaris, que actuen com a facilitadores de l’avaluació. L’article presenta els elements pedagògics que emergeixen de la relació entre aquestes tècniques i els agents implicats, principalment veïns i professionals de les comunitats.Participatory evaluation is a methodological strategy that promotes the involvement of all of the stakeholders associated with a given programme or project — not just those with a technical or professional role — in its assessment and in the taking of joint decisions that may help to improve what is being evaluated. A considerable body of research supports the idea that participatory evaluation is a learning process that benefits both the individuals involved and the organizations within which it takes place. The design of a qualitative research exercise for the monitoring of three processes of participatory assessment of community actions in three Community Development Plans in Catalonia was the basis for interviews with the women responsible for running these community plans, who act asfacilitators of the evaluation. The article sets out the pedagogical elements that emerge from the relationship between these community development managers and the other people involved, most of whom are local residents and professionalsworking in the communities.La evaluación participativa es una estrategia metodológicaque promueve la implicación de todos los agentes que se relacionan con un programa o proyecto, y no sólo los perfiles técnicos y profesionales, en la valoración y en la toma de decisiones conjuntas que permite la mejora de aquello quese evalúa. Son ya numerosas las investigaciones que señalan la evaluación participativa como un proceso formativo, en el que tanto las personas implicadas como las organizaciones en las que se lleva a cabo desarrollan aprendizajes. A través deun diseño de investigación cualitativo que permitemonitorizar tres procesos de evaluación participativa de acciones comunitarias en tres Planes de Desarrollo Comunitario de Cataluña, se entrevista a las técnicas comunitarias responsables de la gestión de estos planes comunitarios, que actúancomo facilitadoras de la evaluación. La convención de la ONU sobre las personas con discapacidad y su repercusión en el ámbito educativo. Una breve aproximación a sus consecuencias en el Derecho español y gallego

[Resumen] La consecución de la igualdad es y ha sido una dura tarea a lo largo de la histo- ria. De hecho, a pesar de que la situación actual es manifiestamente mejor que las pasa- das, aún perviven situaciones en las que podemos observar claramente la existencia de discriminación. Una de las más importantes es la que se refiere a la discapacidad. En este sentido asistimos a la creación de numerosas normas y documentos internacionales tales como la Convención de la ONU sobre las personas con discapacidad, que intentan paliar esta situación. En este contexto, uno de los indicadores más claros del avance de las sociedades en cuanto a la eliminación de la discriminación es el análisis de la arti- culación de su sistema educativo, tanto en lo referente a la integración como en lo refe- rente a la accesibilidad. A esta labor intenta contribuir este artículo.[Abstract] The achievement of equality is and has been a hard task throughout history. In fact, although current situation is clearly better than in the past, there are yet situations where we can notice the existence of discrimination. One of the most significant is the disability discrimination. In that way we attend to the creation of several regulations and International documents such as UN Convention about disabled people, which try to alleviate this issue. In this context, one of the most clear indicators of the social advan- ce in terms of elimination of discrimination is the analysis of the educational system articulation, regarding as much integration as accesibility. This paper tends to contribu- te to this task

Irish English: a current account of Northern and Southern dialects

Every realisation of speech differs amongst the speakers of a given language. There are many factors that could possibly affect this, such as, age, gender and social background as well as geographical factors, among others. Indeed, the phonology of the same language may present different characteristics throughout the different places in which that language is spoken. In the case of English -with its international language status, we can find many varieties spoken all over the word, which include, among other linguistic aspects, different pronunciation traits. In the present essay, a synchronic description of the phonology of present Irish English will be given. As the Irish language has had influence on Irish English pronunciation, in the first part of the essay a historic account of how English became the language spoken nowadays in the island will be presented together with a phonological account of Irish English in the north of the country and Irish English in the south. A transcription of the speech of two Irish people from those two areas of the island will then be analysed with the purpose of determining which phonetic-phonological aspects characterize each accent they exhibit. The results of the study show that both participants use features from their respective varieties

Procedures that exclude in the construction of the chaqueño cotton production phenomenom in Argentina

En este artículo se aborda el aspecto semiótico de la conformación de la identidad de Pequeños Algodoneros Chaqueños (Argentina). Desde el análisis crítico del discurso, y analizando la dimensión comunicativa del fenómeno, se propone reconocer marcas de exclusión y abuso de poder por parte de aquellos que poseen mayor capacidad de producir, reproducir y hacer circular sus discursos, quienes proponen y definen constantemente los campos de interlocución y sus reglas, excluyendo, mediante procedimientos discursivos, a aquellos grupos que no poseen la capacidad de reproducir sus discursos de forma masiva como lo es el de los pequeños algodoneros chaqueños. Se considera que desentrañar los mecanismos comunicacionales y la naturaleza de las relaciones comunicativas entre distintos actores sociales es un camino posible a la resolución de conflictos y de situaciones de exclusión, como las vividas por pequeños productores de esta región.In this article, the semiotic aspect of the identity conformation of Chaqueño Small Cotton Producers (Argentina) is tackled. From the critical analysis of discourse, and analyzing the communicative dimension of the phenomenon, we suggest recognizing marks of exclusion and abuse of power by those who have greater capacity for producing, reproducing and circulating their discourses, who constantly propose and define the fields of dialogue and their rules, excluding, through discourse procedures, those groups that do not have the capacity to reproduce their discourses in a massive way, such as the Chaqueño small cotton producers. It is considered that unraveling the communication mechanisms and the nature of communicative relations among different social actors is a possible path to the resolution of conflicts and situations of exclusion, such as those experienced by small producers in this region.Fil: Núñez López, Manuelita. Lexical presence of Romani dialects in Spanish and English

The present project shows a lexical study of Romani dialects in Spain and England and its presence among non-Gypsy speakers today. This study covers Sociolinguistics as a discipline, making an observation of this dialect in its social context. The relevance of studying this dialect is due to the fact that there are few studies focused on positive aspects of the Romani dialect, such as the lexicon on the family field. The methodological basis for this research comprises two surveys, one for Caló and the other for Angloromani, which rigorously shows the knowledge of the informants about the dialect.El presente proyecto muestra un estudio léxico de los dialectos del romaní en España e Inglaterra y su presencia entre los hablantes no gitanos en la actualidad. Este estudio aborda la Sociolingüística como disciplina, haciendo una observación de este dialecto en su contexto social. La relevancia de estudiar este dialecto se debe a que existen pocos estudios centrados en aspectos positivos del dialecto romaní, como es el léxico del ámbito familiar. La base metodológica de esta investigación consta de dos encuestas, una para el Caló y otra para el Anglorromaní, que muestran de manera rigurosa el conocimiento de los informantes sobre el dialecto
