The de Haas-van Alphen effect across the metamagnetic transition in SrRuO
We report a study of the de Haas-van Alphen (dHvA) effect on the itinerant
metamagnet SrRuO. Extremely high sample purity allows the
observation of dHvA oscillations both above and below the metamagnetic
transition field of 7.9 T. The quasiparticle masses are fairly large away from
the transition, and are enhanced by up to an extra factor of three as the
transition is approached, but the Fermi surface topography change is quite
small. The results are qualitatively consistent with a field-induced Stoner
transition in which the mass enhancement is the result of critical
fluctuations.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figure
Quantum Phase Transition in Pr2CuO4 to Collinear Spin State in Inclined Magnetic Field: A Neutron Diffraction Observation
In the external field slightly inclined to the - or y-axis of the
frustrated tetragonal atiferromagnet Pr2CuO4, a transition is discovered from
the phase with orthogonal antiferromagnetic spin subsystems along [1,0,0] and
[0,1,0] to the phase with the collinear spins. This phase is shown to be due to
the pseudodipolar interaction, and transforms into the spin-flop phase S perp H
asymptotically at very high field. The discovered phase transition holds at T=0
and is a quantum one, with the transition field being the critical point and
the angle between two subsystems being the order parameter
Crossmedia & Storytelling i Marknadsföringssyfte
This paper contains a study where we apply cross media and storytelling into the design process of a practical commercial campaign. The purpose is to learn more and deeper by using cross media and the ideal of storytelling practical. We applied a qualitative method for research of the project to provide a high-quality empirical work. The result shows that by using well-structured story early in the design process you will easily succeed with your cross media design
Lateral structures of thin films of ampholytic diblock copolymers adsorbed from dilute aqueous solution at the solid/liquid Interface
The lateral structures of dried thin films of the ampholytic diblock copolymer poly((methacrylic acid)-block-((dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate)) adsorbed from dilute aqueous solution onto silicon substrates were investigated by scanning force microscopy (SFM) and diffuse X-ray scattering. The adsorbed amount of polymer, as a function of pH, reveals a maximum near the isoelectric point (IEP) of the polyampholyte. Different lateral structures are determined for samples adsorbed at pH values above the maximum of the adsorbed amount, as compared to the ones adsorbed at pH values below this maximum. At a pH around the IEP, the polyampholyte precipitates and the layers are formed by adsorption of flocks with sizes in the micrometer range. Lateral structures measured by SFM are similarly detected by diffuse X-ray scattering. The later technique delivers a statistical description of the lateral surface structures averaged over a larger area. The structures investigated are related to the polyampholyte structure in solution and can be explained by the interplay of the electrostatic interactions of the two oppositely charged blocks of the polyampholyte and the charged surface, as well as by the dependencies of charge densities on pH
Characterization of magnetite nanoparticle / polymer nanocomposite materials in gel and dry state
We present the characterization of nanocomposite materials made from functionalized magnetite nanoparticles and HEUR amphiphilic polymers in the gel and dry states. The hydrophobically modified particles are mainly associated with the two hydrophobic end-groups of the polymer. One part of this study focuses on the polymeric state and dynamics, that are governed by the polymeric network through amphiphilic interactions forming a gel in the wet stateand microphase separated system in the dry state. Apart from the network, the particles seem to be well distributed at concentrations below 1%wt, while strong clustering is observed at higher concentrations. The magnetic response of the dry nanocomposite shows super-paramagnetic behavior with a blocking temperature of ca. 25K
