    Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menilai kinerja keuangan Koperasi Karyawan Swakarya PT.PLN (Persero) UP3 Sorong dari tahun ke tahun dengan menganalisa raasio keuangan koperaasi menggunakann laporan keuangan berupa laporan neraca dan laporan laba rugi periode 2018-219. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan Analisis rasio berupa rasio Likuiditas (Rasio Lancar), Rasio Solvabilitas Leverage (Rasio Hutang atas Total Aset, Rasio Hutang atas Modal), dan Rasio Profitabilitas (Rasio Pendapatan terhadap Penjualan, Rasiio Pengembalian atas Aset, Rasio Pengembalian atas Modal). Hasil penelian ini menunjukan gambaran keuangan yang dimiliki Koperasi Karyawan Swakarya PT.PLN (Persero) UP3 Sorong sealama dua tahun terakhir dalam keadaan cukup baik, berdasarkan analisa rasio Likuditas dapat disimpulkan bahwa Koperasi Karyawan Swakarya PT.PLN (Persero) UP3 Sorong dalam keadaan yang cukup baik karena memenuhi standar kriteria penilaian koperasi sehingga dapat memenuhi kewajiban jangka pendek koperasi. Dari Analisa Rasio Solvabilitas Leverage dapat disimpulkan bahwa Koperasi Karyawan Swakarya PT.PLN (Persero) UP3 Sorong dalam keadaan cukup baik sehingga dapat memenuhi seluruh kewajiban jangka panjan

    The Effects of Shading and Organic Domestic Waste on Brazilian Spinach Growth

    The use of household waste in the form of rice washing water, pineapple skin waste, and leftover rice as liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) has the potential to create a good growing medium so as to increase plant growth. Brazilian Spinach (Alternanthera sissoo) is a leafy vegetable that has the potential to diversify vegetable consumption in urban areas where it is expected to grow well in tight spaces, particularly under shading. This study aimed to find out the effects of applying liquid organic fertilizer made of household waste and the shading on the growth of the Brazilian spinach plant. The study used a split plot design with a main plot consisted of 0%, 50% and 70% shading, while subplot consisted of LOF washing water (20 ml/l), pineapple peel waste (30 ml/l) and leftover rice (50ml/l). Each treatment was repeated 3 (three) times. The results of the study showed that the SPAD value of Brazilian spinach under shading treatment and LOF treatment of rice washing water linearly continued to increase until 8 (eight) weeks after planting. Regarding the vegetative growth of Brazilian spinach, the 0% shading treatment was the best treatment in terms of increasing the non-edible leaf fresh weight and root dry weight. Meanwhile, the LOF had an insignificant effect on all treatments. In conclusion, Brazilian spinach can grow more optimally in no-shade conditions

    Integration of agronomic practices with herbicides for sustainable weed management in aerobic rice

    Till now, herbicide seems to be a cost effective tool from an agronomic view point to control weeds. But long term efficacy and sustainability issues are the driving forces behind the reconsideration of herbicide dependent weed management strategy in rice. This demands reappearance of physical and cultural management options combined with judicious herbicide application in a more comprehensive and integrated way. Keeping those in mind, some agronomic tools along with different manual weeding and herbicides combinations were evaluated for their weed control efficacy in rice under aerobic soil conditions. Combination of competitive variety, higher seeding rate, and seed priming resulted in more competitive cropping system in favor of rice, which was reflected in lower weed pressure, higher weed control efficiency, and better yield. Most of the herbicides exhibited excellent weed control efficiency. Treatments comprising only herbicides required less cost involvement but produced higher net benefit. On the contrary, treatments comprising both herbicide and manual weeding required high cost involvement and thus produced lower net benefit. Therefore, adoption of competitive rice variety, higher seed rate, and seed priming along with spraying different early-postemergence herbicides in rotation at 10 days after seeding (DAS) followed by a manual weeding at 30 DAS may be recommended from sustainability view point

    Virgin Coconut Oil is an oil that is processed from the extraction carried out from fresh coconut fruit which is processed in various ways, one of which is by using traditional methods, namely the natural processing process, namely by photosynthesis. The purpose of making Virgin Coconut Oil is to take advantage of the potential of nature in agriculture in increasing the empowerment of the creative economy of coastal communities during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used is socialization and training on the process of making Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). The result obtained is that the people of Watukamba Village realize the importance of utilizing the natural potential in agriculture and being able to produce VCO independently to increase the economic income of the community. The conclusion after community service activities during the pandemic is still felt the benefits by the community and the sustainability of virgin coconut oil (VCO) processing

    Prognostic role of human equilibrative transporter 1 (hENT1) in patients with resected gastric cancer

    Nucleoside transporter proteins are specialized proteins that mediate the transport of nucleosides and nucleoside analog drugs across the plasma membrane. The human equilibrative nucleoside transporter 1 (hENT1) is a member of these proteins and mediates cellular entry of gemcitabine, cytarabine, and fludarabine. The hENT1 expression has been demonstrated to be related with prognosis and activity of gemcitabine-based therapy in breast, ampullary, lung, and pancreatic cancer. We investigated the immunohistochemical expression of hENT in tumor samples from III patients with resected gastric adenocarcinoma, correlating these data with clinical parameters and disease outcomes. None of the patients received chemotherapy or radiation therapy before or after surgery as a part of an adjuvant or neoadjuvant program. On univariate survival analysis, the hENT1 expression was associated with overall survival (OS) and disease free survival (DFS). Specifically, those patients with overexpression of hENT1 showed a shorter OS ( P=0.021) and a shorter DFS ( P=0.033). Considering only the node positive patients, higher hENT levels were associated with significantly shorter median DFS (21.7 months; 95% CI 11.1-32.4) compared with patients with low expression of hENT1. The hENT1 expression was defined, in the lymph-node positive patients, as an independent prognostic factor ( P=0.019). Furthermore, considering only patients with diffuse or mixed tumors and lymph-node positive, the expression of hENT1 was strongly related with DFS and OS. Immunohistochemistry for the hENT1 protein carries prognostic information in patients with resected gastric cancer and holds promise as a predictive factor in chemotherapy decisions

    Experimental and artificial intelligence modelling study of oil palm trunk sap fermentation

The fermentation process is a significant biological step to transform lignocellulose into biofuel. The interactions of biochemical networks and their uncertainty and nonlinearity that occur during fermentation processes are major problems for experts developing accurate bioprocess models. In this study, mechanical processing and pre-treatment on the palm trunk were done before fermentation. Analysis was performed on the fresh palm sap and the fermented sap to determine the composition. The analysis for total sugar content was done using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and the percentage of alcohols by volume was determined using gas chromatography (GC). A model was also developed for the fermentation process based on the Adaptive-Network-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) combined with particle swarm optimization (PSO) to predict bioethanol production in biomass fermentation of oil palm trunk sap. The model was used to find the best experimental conditions to achieve the maximum bioethanol concentration.     Human equilibrative nucleoside transporter 1 and carcinoma of the ampulla of Vater: expression differences in tumour histotypes

    The human equilibrative nucleoside transporter 1 (hENT1) is the major means by which gemcitabine enters human cells; recent evidence exists that hENT1 is expressed in carcinoma of the ampulla of Vater and that it should be considered as a molecular prognostic marker for patients with resected ampullary cancer. Aim of the present study is to evaluate the variations of hENT1 expression in ampullary carcinomas and to correlate such variations with histological subtypes and clinicopathological parameters. Forty-one ampullary carcinomas were histologically classified into intestinal, pancreaticobiliary and unusual types. hENT1 and Ki67 expression were evaluated by immunohistochemistry, and apoptotic cells were identified by the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated deoxyuridine triphosphate biotin nick end labelling (TUNEL) method. hENT1 overexpression was detected in 63.4% ampullary carcinomas. A significant difference in terms of hENT1 and Ki67 expression was found between intestinal vs. pancreaticobiliary types (P=0.03 and P=0.009 respectively). Moreover, a significant statistical positive correlation was found between apoptotic and proliferative Index (P=0.036), while no significant correlation was found between hENT1 and apoptosis. Our results on hENT1 expression suggest that classification of ampullary carcinoma by morphological subtypes may represent an additional tool in prospective clinical trials aimed at examining treatment efficacy; in addition, data obtained from Ki67 and TUNEL suggest a key role of hENT1 in tumour growth of ampullary carcinoma

    multimodal imaging in the differential diagnosis of soft tissue calcinosis

    Soft tissue calcinosis is a common radiographic finding, which may be related to different types of pathological processes. Multimodality imaging, combined with analysis of clinical and laboratory data, plays an important role for the differential diagnosis of these conditions. Conventional radiography is considered the first line approach to soft tissue calcinosis; CT and MRI may provide further information to better characterize calcified deposits. Imaging may help to distinguish metabolic calcification, such as primary tumoral calcinosis and the secondary one (associated with acquired disorders of calcium or phosphate regulation), from dystrophic calcification, which is associated to normal blood values of phosphate. The sedimentation sign typical of tumoral calcinosis has been demonstrated by plain film radiography, CT, MRI, and, more recently, by ultrasonography. Other types of soft tissue calcinosis may have a degenerative, metaplastic or neoplastic origin, and their characterization strongly relies on multimodality imaging

    The role of macrophages polarization in predicting prognosis of radically resected gastric cancer patients

    Tumour-associated Macrophages (TAM) present two different polarizations: classical (M1) characterized by immunostimulation activity and tumour suppression; alternative (M2) characterized by tumour promotion and immune suppression. In this retrospective study, we evaluated the correlation between the two forms of TAM with survival time in radically resected gastric cancer patients. A total of 52 chemo- and radio- naive patients were included. Two slides were prepared for each patient and double-stained for CD68/NOS2 (M1) or CD68/CD163 (M2) and five representative high-power fields per slide were evaluated for TAM count. The median value of the two macrophage populations density and the median value of M1/M2 ratio were used as cut-off. Twenty-seven patients with M1 density above-the-median had a significantly higher survival compared to those below the median. Twenty-six patients with M1/M2 ratio above the median showed median OS of 27.2 months compared to 15.5 months of the patients below the median. No association between M2 macrophage density and patient’s outcome was found. In multivariate analysis, M1/M2 was a positive independent predictor of survival. The M1 macrophage density and M1/M2 ratio, as con- firmed in multivariate analysis, are factors that can help in predicting patients survival time after radical surgery for gastric cancer
