Producción CientíficaLithium ferrites are well known materials due to its numerous technological applications especially in microwave devices. Lithium ferrite nanoparticles were prepared by sol-gel technique by means of Pechini method, and then annealed at different temperatures in 250–1000 °C range. XRD confirms spinel formation with particles sizes in 15–700 nm range, with increased size with annealing temperature, whereas FTIR and Raman measurement confirm that single phase lithium ferrite with ordered cationic structure is obtained. Microwave magnetoabsorption data of the annealed lithium ferrite nanoparticles were obtained with a broadband system based on a network analyzer that operates up to 8.5 GHz. At fields up to 200 mT we can observe a broad absorption peak that shifts to higher frequencies with magnetic field according to ferromagnetic resonance theory. The amplitude of absorption, up to 85%, together with the frequency width of about 5.5 GHz makes this material suitable as wave absorber. FMR parameters like resonance field, linewidth and broadening are analyzed in order to obtain the characteristic parameters and analyze the microwave behaviour.

The autonomous procedures for conflict resolution have undergone a series of unique transformations prompted by labour reforms of 2010, 2011 and 2012, which have not yet been internalize completely by the collective bargaining. The incidence of new regulatory frameworks of internal flexibility, as well as the difficulties inherent in the articulation of collective bargaining in SMEs, do not allow to establish with certainty a own pattern model of autonomous resolution mechanisms beyond those indicated in the Workers’ Statute and the V ASAC. It is possible, however, identify a new model of labour disputes arising from the execution of such start-resolution mechanisms, which we denominate novation conflicts

Uncertainty sources in the estimation of the partial discharge inception voltage in turn-to-turn insulation systems

Partial discharges (PD) are one of the main causes of premature failure in low-voltage motors driven by variable-speed drives. The use of these control systems are being quite extended due to new applications, such as the more electric aircraft (MEA) or hybrid and electric vehicles, and this has pushed research towards appropriate designs of electric motors to avoid, as much as possible, the presence of PD within their windings. This article presents a model to predict the partial discharge inception voltage (PDIV) in the insulation of low-voltage machines. A value for the secondary ionization coefficient based on a statistical study is also proposed. The deviations of the model are also studied by obtaining the uncertainty of the value of that coeficient and the predicted values of the PDIV for a set of wires. This uncertainty will be compared with other error sources such as generator harmonics and humidity. Finally, the tests are done for different temperatures extend the model applicability

Producción CientíficaLithium ferrites are well known materials due to their numerous technological applications especially in microwave devices. Mn-doped lithium ferrite nanoparticles were prepared by sol-gel technique by means of Pechini method, and then annealed at different temperatures in 250–1000 °C range. XRD confirms spinel formation with particle size in the 15–200 nm range, with increased size with annealing temperature. Microwave magnetoabsorption data of annealed lithium ferrite nanoparticles, obtained with a broadband system based on a network analyzer operating up to 8.5 GHz are presented. At fields up to 200 m T we can observe a broad absorption peak that shifts to higher frequencies with magnetic field according to ferromagnetic resonance theory. The amplitude of absorption, up to 85%, together with the frequency width of about 4.5 GHz makes this material suitable as wave absorber. Samples annealed at higher temperatures show a behaviour similar to polycrystalline samples, thus suggesting their multidomain character.Ministerio de Economía, Industria y Competitividad, Agencia Estatal de Investigación with FEDER (project MAT2016-80784-P

Hypoxia in the Initiation and Progression of Neuroblastoma Tumours

    Get PDF
Neuroblastoma is the most frequent extracranial solid tumour in children, causing 10% of all paediatric oncology deaths. It arises in the embryonic neural crest due to an uncontrolled behaviour of sympathetic nervous system progenitors, giving rise to heterogeneous tumours. Low local or systemic tissue oxygen concentration has emerged as a cellular stimulus with important consequences for tumour initiation, evolution and progression. In neuroblastoma, several evidences point towards a role of hypoxia in tumour initiation during development, tumour cell differentiation, survival and metastatic spreading. However, the heterogeneous nature of the disease, its developmental origin and the lack of suitable experimental models have complicated a clear understanding of the effect of hypoxia in neuroblastoma tumour progression and the molecular mechanisms implicated. In this review, we have compiled available evidences to try to shed light onto this important field. In particular, we explore the effect of hypoxia in neuroblastoma cell transformation and differentiation. We also discuss the experimental models available and the emerging alternatives to study this problem, and we present hypoxia-related therapeutic avenues being explored in the field.Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation SAF program (grant number SAF2016-80412-P

International Workshop on Robotac: New Progress in Tactile Perception and Learning in RoboticsNovel tactile sensors allow treating pressure lectures as standard images due to its highresolution. Therefore, computer vision algorithms such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) can be used to identify objects in contact. In this work, a high-resolution tactile sensor has been attached to a robotic end-effector to identify objects in contact. Moreover, two CNNs-based approaches have been tested in an experiment of classification of pressure images. These methods include a transfer learning approach using a pre-trained CNN on an RGB images dataset and a custom-made CNN trained from scratch with tactile information. A comparative study of performance between them has been carried out.
