Arte feminista. Empoderamiento de las mujeres en el arte. El ejemplo de Paula Rego

Resumen: Desde el feminismo de los años 70, el arte realizado por mujeres ha tratado de cuestionar los valores del arte de la tradición cultural occidental, intentando analizar y revisar su propio papel en el mismo y la identidad de la mujer establecida desde tiempos inmemoriales por la perspectiva y la visión masculinas. A través de las obras de las mujeres artistas tratan de abrirse camino nuevas ideas sobre la mujer y lo femenino, conscientes de los estereotipos y las construcciones sociales y culturales, mostrando cómo éstas van adquiriendo un empoderamiento cada vez mayor. El ejemplo de Paula Rego es especialmente significativo de esta nueva situación. Palabras clave: Arte, Feminismo, Empoderamiento, Paula Rego.   Abstract: Ever since 70’s feminism, art made for women tries to question artistic values of cultural western tradition, attempting to analyse and revise their role and identity of woman states for masculine perspective and view from immemorial times. Through their works of art, artist women, aware of stereotypes and social and cultural restrictions, try to show new ideas about the feminine and how women acquire an increasing empowerment. Las mujeres como creadoras en las artes plásticas según los textos de hombres y mujeres en la España de la primera mitad del siglo XX

Starting with the dominant ideas about the inability of the women for the artistic creation and their deficiency of “Genius”, I made a revision of the women that have written and thought about the fine arts and the creativity of the women. In the first half of the twentieth century prevail the women that have the same current opinions in their culture and in their time but gradually appear other opinions more auspicious for the creative women. From the fine arts some artists have transmitted their difficulties, points of view and experiences.Partiendo de las ideas dominantes sobre la incapacidad de la mujer para la creación artística y su carencia de “genio”, se realiza una revisión de las mujeres que han llevado a cabo escritos y han reflexionado y expuesto su opinión sobre el arte y la creatividad de las mujeres. En la primera mitad del siglo predominan las que sustentan las mismas opiniones presentes en la cultura ambiente de su época aunque paulatinamente aparecen otras opiniones más favorables a la mujer creadora y artista. Desde la creación plástica algunas artistas nos han transmitido sus dificultades, sus puntos de vista y experiencias

Mujeres españolas en las artes plásticas

Se proporciona información sobre la biografía y el trabajo de creación de algunas artistas españolas ignoradas generalmente en los libros, pero que, desde la Edad Media hasta nuestros días, han realizado obras artísticas. El objetivo es que estos conocimientos se transmitan a los alumnos en los diversos niveles de enseñanza y que el trabajo de estas artistas se incorpore a los contenidos educativos y se reivindique la aportación de las mujeres a la historia del arte

Interplay between symmetry and spin-orbit coupling on graphene nanoribbons

We study the electronic structure of chiral and achiral graphene nanoribbons with symmetric edges, including curvature and spin-orbit effects. Curved ribbons show spin-split bands, whereas flat ribbons present spin-degenerate bands. We show that this effect is due to the breaking of spatial inversion symmetry in curved graphene nanoribbons, while flat ribbons with symmetric edges possess an inversion center, regardless of their having chiral or achiral edges. We find an enhanced edge-edge coupling and a substantial gap in narrow chiral nanoribbons, which is not present in zigzag ribbons of similar width. Epidemiological Survey of Ascosphaera apis in Small-Scale Migratory Apis mellifera iberiensis Colonies

Honey bee hives are moved yearly mainly for pollination, but also to take advantage of consecutive flowering events to get as many harvests of honey as possible and/or to find favorable sites for food sources and summer temperatures. Such movements may lead to pathogen spill-over with consequences on the honey bee health and finally on population decline. Ascosphaera apis is the causative agent of the chalkbrood disease, a pathology affecting honey bee larvae that significantly harms population growth and colony productivity. In this study, we detected the presence of A. apis in adult worker honey bees by PCR-amplification of the intergenic transcribed spacer (ITS1) of the ribosomal gene (rDNA). We first optimized the DNA extraction by testing different protocols in individual and pooled (colony level) adult honey bee samples. Subsequently, the presence of the fungus A. apis was assessed in both stationary and migratory colonies (subjected to small scale regional level movements) to determine the effect of migratory practices on the dispersal of this pathogen. Results confirmed a higher prevalence of A. apis in migratory apiaries when compared to stationary ones, indicating that migratory colonies are more likely to develop chalkbrood disease. Given these results, we suggest that beekeepers should be aware of the risks of pathogens spreading while moving beehives, even within a reduced geographic range

Propuesta de Programa de Intervención “FTM: Familia y TOC, de la mano”

La familia es considerada como uno de los importantes sistemas que favorecen la salud y facilitan la mejora de la calidad de vida. Sin embargo, cuando su funcionamiento se altera debido a situaciones vitales estresantes, se requiere que el sistema familiar sea asistido y modificado. La mayoría de personas que convive con alguien que padece un Trastorno Obsesivo Compulsivo tienen altos niveles de malestar psicológico y presentan una amplia variedad de emociones abrumadoras siendo escasas sin embargo las intervenciones desarrolladas en este sentido. Precisamente el objetivo del programa de intervención que aquí se diseña y propone es mejorar las habilidades familiares a la hora de tratar con un afectado de TOC y, al mismo tiempo, dotar a los familiares de herramientas útiles para prevenir el desarrollo o disminuir los niveles del Síndrome del cuidador quemado. Un/a psicólogo/a y un/a coterapeuta trabajarán junto a un grupo de familiares durante dos meses realizando distintas actividades para cumplir los objetivos del programa. Para estimar su eficacia esperada, se utilizarán cuestionarios y entrevistas. <br /
