    I personaggi femminili in Orazio

Horace production offers a considerably varied gallery of female characters differ by age, social status, personality and behaviour which reflect, in a way quite likely, the custom of a role typified by schemes of cultural and symbolic order that women had to severely respect in public and private conduct. Try to find concrete appearances between the innumerable pseudonyms used by Horace is much difficult undertaking as superfluous, too many factors that are projected and mingle, spontaneously and not , in his work ,starting with the undeniable influences ideologizing the political and social context, or the conditioning of Greek-Hellenistic poetry; more profitable is undoubtedly the attempt to reconstruct, reflecting the indications provided by the poet, the complexity of a world, the female one, structured in a rigid system of values, functions and roles historically and traditionally regulated, and to identify attempts of change and progressive enlargement of such limited size

A Methodology to Integrate Security and Cost-effectiveness in ATM

    Get PDF
The objective of this paper is the definition of a new methodology for carrying out security risk assessment in the air traffic management (ATM) domain so as to enhance security awareness and integrate secure and cost-effective design objectives. This process is carried out by modelling the system, identifying the assets, threats and vulnerabilities, prioritizing the threats and proposing cost-effective countermeasures for the weaknesses found. ATM security is concerned with securing ATM assets in order to prevent threats and limit their effects on the overall aviation network. This effect limitation can be achieved by removing the vulnerability from the system and/or increasing the tolerance in case of component failures due to attacks. The security risk assessment methodology proposed is based on what is currently being done by the industry (the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Standard Organization (ISO), etc.)

Managing chronic myeloid leukemia for treatment-free remission: a proposal from the GIMEMA CML WP

Several papers authored by international experts have proposed recommendations on the management of BCR-ABL1+ chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Following these recommendations, survival of CML patients has become very close to normal. The next, ambitious, step is to bring as many patients as possible into a condition of treatment-free remission (TFR). The Gruppo Italiano Malattie EMatologiche dell'Adulto (GIMEMA; Italian Group for Hematologic Diseases of the Adult) CML Working Party (WP) has developed a project aimed at selecting the treatment policies that may increase the probability of TFR, taking into account 4 variables: the need for TFR, the tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), the characteristics of leukemia, and the patient. A Delphi-like method was used to reach a consensus among the representatives of 50 centers of the CML WP. A consensus was reached on the assessment of disease risk (EUTOS Long Term Survival [ELTS] score), on the definition of the most appropriate age boundaries for the choice of first-line treatment, on the choice of the TKI for first-line treatment, and on the definition of the responses that do not require a change of the TKI (BCR-ABL1 6410% at 3 months, 641% at 6 months, 640.1% at 12 months, 640.01% at 24 months), and of the responses that require a change of the TKI, when the goal is TFR (BCR-ABL1 >10% at 3 and 6 months, >1% at 12 months, and >0.1% at 24 months). These suggestions may help optimize the treatment strategy for TFR
