Influence of sustainability practices and green image on the re-visit intention of small and medium-size towns
This study set a model to predict the e ect of corporate social responsibility and green image
on visit intention in small and medium-size towns (SMST). At present, there is a keen social awareness
towards environmental problems, and cities are required to reduce their ecological footprint and
make more sustainable use of natural resources. Increasingly, tourists are considering “green options”
in their decision making. The questionnaire responses, obtained from a sample of 221 tourism in
Malaga town (Spain) were analyzed using a Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) to test the research
hypothesis related to the positive influence of sustainability practices, green image, trust with the
intention of revisiting related to the loyalty of the destination. This study shows that there is a positive
relationship between sustainability practices and re-visit intention and between the green image and
re-visit intention, both directly and indirectly, through trust. Also, the fact that this relationship is
more significant if it is part of the green image than if it is part of sustainability actions. To practice,
this study provides managerial implications to help executives adopt green actions, thanks to their
positive e ects on tourist loyalty and the di erent way of manifesting this loyalty.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Retos penitenciarios al final del s. XX
Horren ondorioz, baitegi inguruan helburu asko planteatzen dira, adibidez ahulenen
eskubideak defendatzen dituen Kode penal berri bat nola lortu, edo epaiaren jarraipen judiziala egiterakoan
sortzen diren arazoei aurre nola egin. Hau hala izanik, gartzelari beste irtenbide batzuk garatu beharrean
aurkitzen gara: zigorrak osa-bide zentruetan betetzea, bitartekotasuna, itzulera moduan komunitateari
[EN] The jail is the great one forgotten of the wellfare’s society. The prison doesn’t rehabilitate, and
on top wipes out people. In consequence, there are many raised challenges in the penitentiary environment,
for exemple how to obtain an equalitarian penal Code, that defends the rihgts of the weakest, or how to
overcome the problems that are presents at the judicial pursuit of the sentence. This way, some alternatives
to prison could be developed: the execution in terapeutic centers, the mediation, the attendance to the
community like “restitution”, the alternative execution and the proving freedom
Technology, governance, and a sustainability model for small and medium-sized towns in Europe
New and cutting-edge technologies causing deep changes in societies, playing the role
of game modifiers, and having a significant impact on global markets in small and medium-sized
towns in Europe (SMSTEs) are the focus of this research. In this context, an analysis was carried
out to identify the main dimensions of a model for promoting innovation in SMSTEs. The literature
review on the main dimensions boosting the innovation in SMSTEs and the methodological approach
was the application of a survey directed to experts on this issue. The findings from the literature
review reflect that technologies, governance, and sustainability dimensions are enablers of SMSTEs’
innovation, and based on the results of the survey, a model was implemented to boost innovation,
being this the major add-on of this research.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

The Role of Middleware in Distributed Energy Systems Integrated in the Smart Grid
Middleware architectures have proven to be of major importance when dealing with distributed systems, as they are able to abstract the inevitable heterogeneity of the hardware devices present in a deployment with the aim of offering a collection of interfaces and resources of homogeneous appearance to the upper, application‐oriented layers. In an energy‐based distributed system as the Smart Grid, this role is replicated, as the hardware devices that are found, while essentially related to the power grid and the functionalities that can be extracted from it (advanced metering infrastructure, remote terminal units, renewable energy resources, etc.), still present the same challenges that other distributed systems are expected to deal with, such as heterogeneous features, different information formats, diversity of their performance procedures, or integration and interconnectivity issues. Therefore, a middleware architecture is still of major usability in the power grid. This chapter offers information about the common features that are present in a middleware architecture that works under the requirements and use cases typical of the Smart Grid, as well as offers examples on how middleware integrates legacy, proprietary, and newly developed pieces of equipment within the same distributed energy grid
