    Phenylation of aminoindazole derivatives

AbstractThe triphenylbismuth diacetate reacted selectively with different aminoindazole derivatives in presence of copper diacetate to engender a new series of mono phenyl aminoindazole compounds in good to high yields. Moreover, the same reagent with 4-chloro-2-methyl-2H-indazol-7-amine led to a mixture of mono- and N,N-diphenylaminoindazoles. However, its combination with 2H-indazol-4-amine provided only one N,1-diphenylaminoindazole compound

Improved direct torque control of permanent magnet synchronous electrical vehicle motor with proportional-integral resistance estimator

Abstract -Electric vehicles (EVs) require fast torque response and high drive efficiency. This paper describes a control scheme of fuzzy direct torque control of permanent magnet synchronous motor for EVs. This control strategy is extensively used in EV application. With direct torque control (DTC), the electromagnetic torque and stator flux can be estimated using the measured stator voltages and currents. The estimation depends on motor parameters, except for the stator resistance. The variation of stator resistance due to changes in temperature or frequency downgrades the performance of DTC, which is controlled by introducing errors in the estimated flux linkage vector and the electromagnetic torque. Thus, compensation for the effect of stator resistance variation becomes necessary. This work proposes the estimation of the stator resistance and its compensation using a proportional-integral estimation method. An electronic differential has been also used, which has the advantage of replacing loose, heavy, and inefficient mechanical transmission and mechanical differential with a more efficient, light, and small electric motors that are directly coupled to the wheels through a single gear or an in-wheel motor

Metal-free visible light-promoted synthesis of isothiazoles: a catalytic approach for N-S bond formation from iminyl radicals under batch and flow conditions

A sustainable synthesis of isothiazoles has been developed using an α-amino-oxy acid auxiliary and applying photoredox catalysis. This simple strategy features mild conditions, broad scope and wide functional group tolerance representing a new enviromentally friendly option to prepare these highly valuable heterocycles. Furthermore, the synthetic value of the method is highlighted by the preparation of a natural product derivative and the implementation of the reaction in a continuous flow setupWe acknowledge the financial support by the Spanish Government (RTI2018-095038-B-I00) and ERC (ERC-CG, 647550

Effect of recycled ceramic waste particles on kinetic of curing and thermal degradation of unsaturated polyester resin

In this study, the effect of recycled ceramic waste particles on the curing reaction and thermal degradation of unsaturated polyester resin has been studied kinetically. Methyl ethyl ketone peroxide and cobalt octoate were used as initiator and promotor, respectively. The porcelain powder obtained from ceramic waste was used as filler. The effect of methyl ethyl ketone peroxide and porcelain powder were investigated by measuring the gel time and exotherm behavior. Also, thermal properties have been carried out using TGA at different heating rates in an argon atmosphere, and the results were analyzed by the Friedman method. The results indicate that the curing process is affected by the incorporation of ceramic particles in two ways. Therefore, the use of ceramic particles increases the induction time and decreases the exotherm properties of unsaturated polyester resin. In addition, the results obtained by Friedman method demonstrates that the incorporation of ceramic particles in the resin increases the activation energy, and consequently improves the thermal stability of unsaturated polyester resi

Pd-catalysed direct heteroarylation of bromobenzyl acetamide derivatives:a simple access to heteroarylated benzylamine derivatives

International audienceThe palladium-catalysed direct arylation of bromobenzylacetamide derivatives using a wide variety of heteroaromatics gives a very simple access to heteroarylated benzylacetamides. 2-, 3- and 4-Bromobenzylacetamides present a very similar reactivity. In the presence of 2-subtituted furans, thiophenes, pyrroles, thiazoles, or imidazoles a regioselective 5-arylation was observed. The reaction of benzoxazole gave the 2-arylated compounds; whereas 3,5-dimethylisoxazole gave the 4-arylated products. In most cases, the system using PdCl(C3H5)(dppb) as the catalyst, KOAc as the base, and DMAC as the solvent gave high yields of coupling products

Palladium-Based Catalytic System for the Direct C3-Arylation of Furan-2-carboxamides and Thiophene-2-carboxamides

International audienceThe palladium-catalyzed direct arylation of furans or thiophenes that contained secondary carboxamides at the C2 position proceeded regioselectively at either the C3 or C5 positions, depending on the reaction conditions. The nature of the base was crucial for controlling the regioselectivity of the reaction. We had previously observed that, in the presence of potassium acetate, direct arylation at the C5 position was favored. Herein, we report that the use of cesium carbonate as the base and xylene as the solvent selectively afforded the C3-arylated furans or thiophenes. The reactivity of furan-2-carboxamides and thiophene-2-carboxamides were similar. The reaction tolerated a range of functional groups on the aryl bromide and also heteroaryl bromide substrates
