P.1-33Specimens were studied of 65 samples of the genus Aphidura (Aphididae, Aphidinae, Macrosiphini) from the collection of the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (Paris). The possible synonymies of three pairs of species are discussed. New aphid host plant relationships are reported for A. bozhkoae, A. delmasi, A. ornata, A. pannonica and A. picta; this last species is recorded for first time from Afghanistan. The record of A. pujoli from Pakistan is refuted. The fundatrices, oviparous females and males of A. delmasi are described. Six new species are established: A. gallica sp. n. and A. amphorosiphon sp. n. from specimens caught on species of Silene (Caryophyllaceae) from France and Iran, respectively, A. pakistanensis sp. n., A. graeca sp. n. and A. urmiensis sp. n. from specimens caught on species of Dianthus, Gypsophila and Spergula (Caryophyllaceae) from Pakistan, Greece and Iran, respectively, and A. iranensis sp. n. from specimens caught on Prunus sp. from Iran. Modifications are made to the keys by Blackman and Eastop to aphids living on Dianthus, Gypsophyla, Silene, Spergula and Prinsepia and Prunus (Rosaceae). An identification key to apterous viviparous females of species of Aphidura is also provided.S

The study of the first samples of aphids collected on Schoepfiaceae (Santalales) is presented. Aphis prima sp. n. is described from viviparous females collected in the Argentina provinces of Neuquén, Río Negro and Santa Cruz and in Chilean region of Maule on plants of genera Quinchamalium and Arjona, which are endemic to South America. The new species is characterized by the presence of marginal tubercles on 5 or 6 abdominal segments, tibiae homogeneously pigmented and triangular cauda in both apterae and alatae, secondary sensoria on antennal segment III in apterae, and once-branched forewing media in alatae. This last is a very rare characteristic in subfamily Aphidinae. urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:4D8F988D-9D9E-4E67-BA41-037C954C3F20Se presenta el estudio de las primeras muestras de pulgones recolectadas en Schoepfiaceae (Santalales).

New synonyms and several nomenclatural clarifications on family-group names in the Aphididae (Hemiptera Sternorrhyncha)

    P. 51-55In the context of the preparation of Part of the List of Available Names of the family group taxa of the superfamily Aphidoidea for submission to the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature new synonyms have been detected and several nomenclatural problems have been clarified. Three new objective synonymies are established: Drepanosiphoninae Börner, 1944 syn. nov. of Drepanosiphinae Herrich-Schaeffer, 1857, Macrosiphonini Börner, 1952 syn. nov. of Macrosiphini Wilson, 1910 and Trichosiphonini Börner & Heinze, 1957 syn. nov. of Trichosiphini Wilson, 1910. A subjective synonymy is established: Asiphonaphidina Börner, 1952 syn. nov. of Rhopalosiphina Mordvilko, 1914. Dasiina van der Goot, 1918 is an objective invalid name, and it must be replaced, if is necessary by Baizongiina Börner, 1944(1914). Nomenclatural status affecting the names Tetraneuriden, Tycheinae, Pteroclorini and Macrosiphini are clarified: Tetraneuriden is an available name, it is a valid name in some classifications but a junior subjective synonym in others; Tycheinae is an available name but it is a nomen dubium; Pteroclorini is an available but objective invalid name; and Macrosiphini Wilson, 1910(1887) takes the date of Nectarophorini Oestlund, 1887. Also the authorship and date of nomenclatural acts in the chapter on Aphids in the Handbuch der Pflanzenkrankheiten, 1932, are clarified.S

Mexican uroleucon (Hemiptera: Aphididae) from the collection of the Muséum National d`Histoire Naturelle of Paris with eleven new species

    Get PDF
    P. 622-648Very little is known about the Mexican fauna of Uroleucon ; only 4 species have been recorded, which is fewer than in Central America and the Caribbean. One hundred ninety two samples collected in 19 Mexican states from the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (Paris) collection have been studied and 30 species identified. Four of them are the species previously recorded ( U. ambrosiae , U. erigeronense , U. pseudoambrosiae and U. sonchi ). Fifteen North American species are recorded for the first time from Mexico: U. astronomus , U. brevitarsus , U. chani , U. eupatoricolens , U. gravicorne , U. macgillivrayae , U. maximilianicola , U. nigrotuberculatum , U. obscuricaudatum , U. paucosensoriatum , U. penderum , U. reynoldense , U. richardsi , U. stoetzelae and U. zerogutierrezis . Thirty-three new “aphid/host plant” relationships of these species have been established. Comments about the distribution of the species are made. Eleven new species are described, illustrated and discussed: U. penae , U. mexicanum , U. gnaphalii , U. sinuense , U. munozae , U. zacatecense , U. queretarense , U. tlaxcalense , U . latgei , U. heterothecae and U. remaudiereorum . An appendix with modifications for 17 keys in Blackman and Eastop’s work, “Aphids on the World’s Herbaceous Plants and Shrubs”, is presented and 3 additional keys are givenS
