    The Indonesia-Australia Cooperation In Responding To The Covid-19 Pandemic (2020)

    The COVID-19 pandemic began in Wuhan, China in late December 2019 and rapidly spread to all over the world. The COVID-19 caused by SARS-Cov-2 and more than one million people have been affected worldwide. The COVID-19 pandemic not only impacts the health sector, but the pandemic triggered to the economic crisis with expansive social effects. Due to the impact of COVID-19, the international cooperation needs to be taken to responding and control the pandemic. Indonesia and Australia as a close neighbour, have worked closely in disaster risk management and currently cooperate to response the COVID-19. This study aims to describe the cooperation between Indonesia and Australia in responding the impacts of COVID-19. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive method. The data collection technique used based on secondary data in the form of literature review (library research) including books, journals, reports, organization’s websites, online articles, and scientific papers that are related to the study. The author uses the concept of cooperation to support the idea of cooperation between Indonesia and Australia to responding the impacts of COVID-19 pandemic.     Enhancing writing skills and language creativity through the plus-minus-interesting technique: A case study at the primary school level

    Language creativity plays a pivotal role in facilitating effective communication, especially in written expression. Proficient writing skills require a dedicated teaching and learning process that nurtures critical thinking abilities. While the significance of language creativity and writing skills has been acknowledged, empirical research focusing on explicit techniques to enhance these skills among young learners is needed. Addressing this research gap, this study explores the impact of integrating the PMI (Plus-Minus-Interesting) technique, an integral component of the Cognitive Research Trust framework, in teaching narrative text to primary school students. Employing a case study research method, this study involves 67 students, with data collected through observations, interviews, and analysis of selected students' multiple drafts. The findings reveal significant improvements across various aspects of students' written texts, including word count, vocabulary usage, flow, and organizational structure, following the implementation of the PMI technique. Observations demonstrate that students displayed heightened levels of active engagement and expressive writing when utilizing the PMI technique, effectively incorporating 'plus', 'minus', and 'interesting' elements from their personal experiences. This integration enhanced their overall written communication skills. Based on the study's results, the PMI approach provides clear and structured instruction in literacy learning and development. It particularly offers a practical approach for nurturing language creativity and improving writing skills among young learners

    Kualitas Pelayanan Terminal Giwangan dan Tirtonadi Berdasar pada Tingkat Kepuasan Pengguna Layanan (Kasus: Yogyakrta dan Surakarta)

    Terminal Giwangan merupakan hasil pengembangan terminal akibat perpindahan dari lokasi terminal sebelumnya, dan terminal Tirtonadi merupakan hasil pengembangan terminal akibat perluasan di lokasi yang sama. Oleh karena itu, seberapa besar perbedaan pelayanan terminal tersebut menarik untuk diteliti. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsi perbedaan kondisi dan kelengkapan fasilitas pelayanan di kedua terminal, menjelaskan perbedaan antara kualitas pelayanan di kedua terminal berdasarkan tingkat kepuasan pengguna layanan, mengetahui perbedaan keterjangkauan pelayanan, dan mengetahui arahan pengembangan untuk peningkatan kepuasan masyarakat. Teknik analisis yang digunakan ialah analisis deskriptif berdasarkan tabulasi silang hasil wawancara kepada responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel aksidental. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah dan jenis fasilitas pelayanan yang terdapat di terminal Giwangan dan Tirtonadi berbeda. Diantara lima indikator kepuasan pelayanan terminal, hanya indikator Tangibles yang berbeda di terminal Giwangan dan Tirtonadi. Empat indikator lainnya, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, dan Emphaty relatif sama pada tingkat kepuasan kategori cukup puas. Letak lokasi terminal Giwangan dan Tirtonadi berdasarkan sebagian besar pengguna pelayanan bahwa lokasi terminal tidak mempengaruhi mereka dalam hal memanfaatkan kedua terminal

    Psikoseksual terhadap Fungsi Seksual Perempuan Menopause

    This study aims to determine the influence of psychosexuality on the sexual function of postmenopausal women in Timbangan Indralaya Utara Village. This quantitative research method has a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest research design with a control group. The results showed that the mean sexual function score before the intervention was 18.365, with a standard deviation of 6.2999. After the intervention, the mean value was 21.950, with a standard deviation of 7.2103. In the control group, the mean score of sexual function in the second measurement was 16.615 with a standard deviation of 6.1748, while the mean value in the second measurement was 16.425 with a standard deviation of 6.1482. The statistical analysis results using the t-test obtained a p-value of 0.000 or <0.05. In conclusion, psychosexuality influences the sexual function of postmenopausal women in Timbangan Indralaya Utara Village   Keywords: Sexual Function, Menopause, Sexual Psychoeducation, Psychosexua

Ujian komprehensif wajib diikuti oleh seluruh mahasiswa Sejarah sebagai pra syarat agar dapat mengikuti sidang skripsi. Berdasarkan survei yang dilakukan peneliti, banyak mahasiswa Pendidikan Sejarah yang ikut ujian komprehensif belum lulus serta mereka wajib mengikuti kembali ujian ulang. Dari data dokumen yang diterima, sebanyak kurang lebih 50-60% mahasiwa yang belum lulus ujian komprehensif dengan standar kelulusan yang ditetapkan yaitu 60. Ketidaklulusan ini diduga karena pengaruh Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui pengaruh Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) terhadap nilai ujian komprehensif mahasiswa Pendidikan Sejarah FKIP UNSYIAH. Adapun pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan mengumpulkan dokumen atau dokumentasi, sementara teknik analisis data dengan cara menggunakan analisis statistik dengan terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji normalitas data dan linearitas data serta analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan SPSS for windows 15. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa derajat hubungan antara Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) dengan nilai ujian komprehensif mahasiswa FKIP UNSYIAH sebesar 13,5% dengan hubungan positif, dan dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis yang menyatakan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara IPK dengan nilai ujian komprehensif mahasiswa FKIP UNYIAH diterima kebenarannya

    The Impact of Slums on Public Health in the Talang Putri Area of Plaju Sub-District

    The purpose of this study was to describe the conditions of the slum settlements and the health of the people living in the area. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The informants in this study were the people who lived in the slum areas of Talang Putri Village, Palembang City. Determination of informants / respondents using purposive sampling, namely taking informants according to the criteria determined by the researcher. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, display data and conclusion drawing / verification. The results of the data analysis show that the slum settlements in the Talang Putri area are due to the lack of awareness of the residents about where they live. In addition, other supporting factors include the low economic situation and the lack of education, which means that almost all residents in Talang Putri attend school only at the elementary level, so that it can affect their knowledge and understanding of the community. The majority of residential building conditions there are wood / planks of 85.5%. And most of the Talang Putri community is accustomed to littering, namely on open land. 68.7% of the Talang Putri community hardly care about the cleanliness of the environment where they live. So that it makes many residents sick, from skin diseases to dengue fever

    Unveiling the sources of English speaking anxiety of a vocational school student: A narrative study

    The primary aim of this study is to explore the sources of English-speaking anxiety and ascertain the learners’ future expectations regarding his English language proficiency. The study was conducted at a vocational school in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, using a narrative inquiry design. A 10th-grade student from the Hospitality and Tourism Industry class was purposively invited to participate voluntarily. Data was collected through semi-structured interview and analyzed thematically. The findings revealed that sources of the student’ anxiety when speaking English included a lack of English vocabulary capacity and a lack of exposure to English as oral communication. Furthermore, the findings show that the student’s future expectation of learning English as a foreign language in the classroom include becoming familiar with speaking English and to be able to talk to foreign guests without being nervous. This study highlights the need for further investigations into effective strategies to facilitate students’ efforts in speaking English comfortably
