All though coats of arms are interesting indicators of human behaviours, they are seldom considered under this perspective. From a function of simple differentiation, of identity sign, they often become exponents of the lineage traditions. This paper analyses the causes and circumstances of these changes in Spain, paying special attention to the forms of evolution of the perception of the past.Las armerĂas constituyen un interesante indicador de comportamientos humanos, apenas aprovechado todavĂa en este aspecto. The article has three parts: a description and analysis of a castilian sigilographical matrix found in Avignon —the first object of study in these pages—, the idetification of its owner: the priest Gonzalo Pérez (died in 1327) and the noble kingship to which he belongs: Moscoso. The author, in this first study within the galician historiography, draws a portrait of an important figure in the ecclesiastical world of Medieval Galice and reconstructs its genealogy.[fr] L'article est structuré en trois parties: une description etanalyse d'une matrice sigillée castellaine trouvée en Avignon —premier objet d'étude de ces pages—, identification de son propietaire: l'ecclésiastique Gonzalo Pérez (mort en 1327) et le lignage nobiliaire auquel il appartient: Moscoso. L'auteur, dans cet étude pionnier dans l'historiographie galicienne, trace le portrait d'une figure de premier ordre dans le monde ecclésiastique de la Galice du Moyen Âge et fait une reconstruction de sa généalogie
