Se entregan nuevos registros distribucionales de Tetraonyx limbata Laporte, 1840 (Coleoptera: Meloidae) en Chile, a partir de ejemplares recolectados en los valles prepuneños de la Provincia de Parinacota, Región de Arica y Parinacota. Adicionalmente se provee una diagnosis de la especie e imágenes del adulto. coleópteros, Tetraonycini, valles prepuneños

Se discuten las diferencias entre Lasionota (Lasionota) okea ornata (Moore) y la subespecie nominal, en base a caracteres morfológicos e información distribucional. Adicionalmente, se describe Lasionota (Lasionota) okea flavomarginata ssp. nov., a partir de ejemplares recolectados en la localidad de Cariquima, Región de Tarapacá, Chile. Se proporcionan imágenes de los adultos y genitales masculinos de todas las subespecies

Nacionalismo objetivo en la danza característica de Leo Brouwer: un estudio analítico a través de las propuestas teóricas de Larue y Schenker

The present paper exhibits an analysis of the characteristic Dance of Leo Brouwer through which both the dissimilar ways in which the Cuban composer involves archetypal elements of traditional music of his country, as the internal configuration of the music same. For this purpose, and after highlighting a brief overview of the popular music of this Antillean context, two concrete analytical proposals were used in an articulated way as operational theoretical references: the Jan LaRue category method and the Heinrich Schenker reductionist theory . In this sense, we believe that our study will allow an approach to the Brouwerian sound discourse from a different perspective than those found today, with which we hope to have contributed, in some way, to the study of said Latin American musical environment from the point of view of Systematic musicology as the main framework of understanding and reasoning.El presente escrito exhibe un análisis de la Danza característica de Leo Brouwer a través del cual se evidencian tanto las disímiles maneras en que el compositor cubano involucra en su discurso sonoro guitarrístico elementos arquetípicos de la música tradicional de su país, como la configuración interna de la misma. Para tal propósito, y luego de resaltar un breve panorama de la música popular de dicho contexto antillano, se utilizaron, en forma articulada, dos propuestas analíticas concretas como referentes teóricos operativos: el método por categorías de Jan LaRue y la teoría reduccionista de Heinrich Schenker. En este sentido, creemos que nuestro estudio permitirá un acercamiento al discurso sonoro brouweriano bajo una perspectiva diferente a las halladas en la actualidad, con lo cual esperamos haber contribuido, de alguna manera, al estudio de dicho entorno musical iberoamericano desde el punto de vista de la musicología sistemática como marco principal de entendimiento y raciocinio

Automatización del proceso de gestión de reserva de vuelos skydive del “Club de Andinismo y Paracaidismo Cóndor de los Andes” en base a la Norma ISO 9001:2015

Automatizar el proceso de gestión de reserva de vuelos Skydive del “Club de Andinismo y Paracaidismo Cóndor de los Andes” en base a la norma ISO 9001:2015.“El Club de Andinismo y Paracaidismo Cóndor de los Andes” se encuentra enfocado en saltos en paracaídas dentro del País en distintas modalidades que son Tándem, libre básico, línea estática, exhibición y dictan cursos de salto libre para personas nacionales y extranjeras. El club contribuye con el desarrollo turístico brindando e incentivando sobre la realización de este deporte, cuenta con profesionales certificados en el área y con todas las medidas de seguridad. Este proyecto se realizó con el objetivo de automatizar y gestionar el proceso de reserva de vuelos Skydive del “Club Cóndor de los Andes” en base a la norma ISO 9001:2015. Como marco de trabajo se usó Scrum para desarrollar el aplicativo web, también se utilizó el framework angular con la finalidad de disponer un frontend más sencillo, además gracias a Firebase un modelo BaaS (Backend as a Service) se logra poner en marcha el aplicativo y finalmente para medir la calidad del producto de software se usó la norma ISO 25010 usando la característica de usabilidad. Para la validación de los resultados que se obtuvo al aplicar un cuestionario SUS realizado a 20 personas para poder obtener indicadores de usabilidad de la aplicación enfocada en la ISO/IEC 25010. Posteriormente, se calculó el Alfa de Cronbach el cuál midió la fiabilidad del cuestionario mencionado anteriormente. Se obtuvo un rango bueno que es aceptable con respecto a los rangos de aceptabilidad de SUS score, de tal manera confirmamos los criterios de usabilidad de la norma ISO 25010 demostrando que el producto es de buena calidad para los usuarios.Ingenierí

A latent genetic subtype of major depression identified by whole-exome genotyping data in a Mexican-American cohort

Currently, MDD subtypes are based on clinically defined depression symptom patterns. Although a few data-driven attempts have been made to identify more homogenous subgroups within MDD, other studies have not focused on using human genetic data for MDD subtyping. Here we used a computational strategy to identify MDD subtypes based on single-nucleotide polymorphism genotyping data from MDD cases and controls using Hamming distance and cluster analysis. We examined a cohort of Mexican-American participants from Los Angeles, including MDD patients (n=203) and healthy controls (n=196). The results in cluster trees indicate that a significant latent subtype exists in the Mexican-American MDD group. The individuals in this hidden subtype have increased common genetic substrates related to major depression and they also have more anxiety and less middle insomnia, depersonalization and derealisation, and paranoid symptoms. Advances in this line of research to validate this strategy in other patient groups of different ethnicities will have the potential to eventually be translated to clinical practice, with the tantalising possibility that in the future it may be possible to refine MDD diagnosis based on genetic data

Se describe e ilustra Polytuberotum metachroma Pineda y Cid-Arcos gen. nov. y sp. nov. (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) proveniente de Perú. El nuevo género es fácilmente distinguible de Tuberolamia Breuning por su frente transversa y pronoto con espinas laterales y protuberancias discales. Polytuberotum metachroma Pineda and Cid-Arcos gen. nov. and sp. nov. (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) from Peru is described and illustrated. The new genus is easily distinguished from Tuberolamia Breuning by its transverse frons and pronotum with lateral spines and discal protuberances

Utility of a Short Neuropsychological Protocol for Detecting HIV-Associated Neurocognitive Disorders in Patients with Asymptomatic HIV-1 Infection

Human Immunodeficiency Virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection is a chronic disease that affects ~40 million people worldwide. HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND) are common in individuals with HIV-1 Infection, and represent a recent public health problem. Here we evaluate the performance of a recently proposed short protocol for detecting HAND by studying 60 individuals with HIV-1-Infection and 60 seronegative controls from a Caribbean community in Barranquilla, Colombia. The short evaluation protocol used significant neuropsychological tests from a previous study of asymptomatic HIV-1 infected patients and a group of seronegative controls. Brief screening instruments, i.e., the Mini-mental State Examination (MMSE) and the International HIV Dementia Scale (IHDS), were also applied. Using machine-learning techniques, we derived predictive models of HAND status, and evaluated their performance with the ROC curves. The proposed short protocol performs exceptionally well yielding sensitivity, specificity, and overall prediction values >90%, and better predictive capacity than that of the MMSE and IHDS. Community-specific cut-off values for HAND diagnosis, based on the MMSE and IHDS, make this protocol suitable for HAND screening in individuals from this Caribbean community. This study shows the effectivity of a recently proposed short protocol to detect HAND in individuals with asymptomatic HIV-1-Infection. The application of community-specific cut-off values for HAND diagnosis in the clinical setting may improve HAND screening accuracy and facilitate patients’ treatment and follow-up. Further studies are needed to assess the performance of this protocol in other Latin American populations

BIOCHEM: A new methodology for designing mixed-culture bioprocesses assisted with bioenergetics models
