The role of Islamic Boarding Schools from hereditary in maintaining and strengthening Islamic literacy and building national moderation is very large and undoubted. It is evident from the existence of pesantren graduates who are easily accepted in the midst of society (Out Coming), and many Islamic boarding school alumni become determinants and changes to the real conditions of society, both in the order of worship, mua'amalah, aqidah, and other living rules. In addition, religious leaders currently including graduates of Islamic boarding schools have started to openly participate in filling the seat of government, this is an advantage and progress in how the figure of santri with good aqeedah and personal resilience from various frictions is also a determinant of government policy when senior politicians were busy taking care of various cases that happened to him. &nbsp

This project aims to look at the economic impact of a reduction in abortion access on women\u27s labor market outcomes. To do this, I use Sen and Nussbaum\u27s capabilities approach to analyze the different capabilities that would be impacted and find that women\u27s educational attainment, income, and labor force participation rates are all lower without access to abortion

Malware Detection using Machine Learning and Deep Learning

Research shows that over the last decade, malware has been growing exponentially, causing substantial financial losses to various organizations. Different anti-malware companies have been proposing solutions to defend attacks from these malware. The velocity, volume, and the complexity of malware are posing new challenges to the anti-malware community. Current state-of-the-art research shows that recently, researchers and anti-virus organizations started applying machine learning and deep learning methods for malware analysis and detection. We have used opcode frequency as a feature vector and applied unsupervised learning in addition to supervised learning for malware classification. The focus of this tutorial is to present our work on detecting malware with 1) various machine learning algorithms and 2) deep learning models. Our results show that the Random Forest outperforms Deep Neural Network with opcode frequency as a feature. Also in feature reduction, Deep Auto-Encoders are overkill for the dataset, and elementary function like Variance Threshold perform better than others. In addition to the proposed methodologies, we will also discuss the additional issues and the unique challenges in the domain, open research problems, limitations, and future directions.Comment: 11 Pages and 3 Figure

    Get PDF

Are we teaching our students what they need to know about ageing? Results from the National Survey of Undergraduate Teaching in Ageing and Geriatric Medicine

Introduction - Learning about ageing and the appropriate management of older patients is important for all doctors. This survey set out to evaluate what medical undergraduates in the UK are taught about ageing and geriatric medicine and how this teaching is delivered. Methods – An electronic questionnaire was developed and sent to the 28/31 UK medical schools which agreed to participate. Results – Full responses were received from 17 schools. 8/21 learning objectives were recorded as taught, and none were examined, across every school surveyed. Elder abuse and terminology and classification of health were taught in only 8/17 and 2/17 schools respectively. Pressure ulcers were taught about in 14/17 schools but taught formally in only 7 of these and examined in only 9. With regard to bio- and socio- gerontology, only 9/17 schools reported teaching in social ageing, 7/17 in cellular ageing and 9/17 in the physiology of ageing. Discussion – Even allowing for the suboptimal response rate, this study presents significant cause for concern with UK undergraduate education related to ageing. The failure to teach comprehensively on elder abuse and pressure sores, in particular, may be significantly to the detriment of older patients
