    This study examined how not revealing one\u27s identity (i.e., being pseudonymous) on sports message boards affects levels of self-disclosure, expression of extreme opinions, frequency of emotional flaming, and levels of fandom. Quantitative scales were developed to measure self-disclosure, expressing extreme opinions, emotional flaming, and fandom. After participants read two competing sports message board scenarios (one including a positive message and the other a negative message), they responded to the survey questions

    El crecimiento de la tecnología a nivel mundial ha permitido que las empresas tengan la necesidad de implementar más recursos tecnológicos, los cuales buscan la optimización de los procesos al interior de las mismas; a su vez dicho crecimiento conllevó la generación de delitos informáticos desarrollados por delincuentes informáticos que aprovechan las vulnerabilidades que tienen algunas organizaciones. De esta forma la Ingeniería Social utiliza el método de engañar a una persona con el fin de sustraer información o acceder a un sistema de información, por lo tanto en la actualidad no importa el nivel de seguridad de una empresa o que tan seguro es un sistema de información, ya que con el hecho de una persona esté a cargo o controle una área específica, estará vulnerable a un ataque mediante la ingeniería social, por esta razón, es necesario establecer una serie de acciones, las cuales permitan evitar estos posibles ataques al interior de las mismas. Todos los ataques de ingeniería social dependen de que la víctima confíe en el atacante y le otorgue información o datos o acceso. Se ha demostrado que las personas se desempeñan mal en la detección de mentiras y engaños y generalmente sobreestiman sus capacidades de detección. Los usuarios humanos, que son el eslabón más débil en la cadena de seguridad de la información, siguen siendo susceptibles de ser manipulados por los ingenieros sociales. Es por ello, que con el desarrollo de este documento se propone un Plan de Acción que posterior a su implementación dará como resultado recomendaciones, las cuales permitan contrarrestar los posibles ataques informáticos basados en ingeniería social a nivel Gobierno, y de esta manera las entidades puedan implementar mayor control en la seguridad de la información al interior de las mismas, resaltando que dichas recomendaciones van de la mano con políticas de seguridad de la información las cuales deberán ser diseñas e implementadas por cada una de las organizaciones del estado.The growth of technology worldwide has allowed companies to have the need to implement more technological resources, which seek to optimize processes within them; In turn, this growth led to the generation of computer crimes developed by computer criminals who take advantage of the vulnerabilities of some organizations. In this way, Social Engineering uses the method of deceiving a person in order to subtract information or access an information system, therefore currently it does not matter the level of security of a company or how safe a system is of information, since with the fact of a person being in charge or controlling a specific area, he will be vulnerable to an attack through social engineering, for this reason, it is necessary to establish a series of actions, which allow these possible attacks to be avoided inside of them. All social engineering attacks depend on the victim trusting the attacker and granting him information or data or access. It has been shown that people perform poorly in detecting lies and deceptions and generally overestimate their detection abilities. Human users, who are the weakest link in the information security chain, remain susceptible to being manipulated by social engineers. That is why, with the development of this document, an Action Plan is proposed that, after its implementation, will result in recommendations, which will allow counteracting the possible attacks on social engineering based at the Government level, and in this way the entities can Implement greater control in information security within them, highlighting that these recommendations go hand in hand with information security policies which should be designed and implemented by each of the state organizations

    The role of heme synthesis during the induction of hepatic microsomal cytochrome P-450 and drug metabolism produced by benzpyrene

    [delta]-Aminolevulinic acid synthetase, the initial and rate limiting step in hepatic heme synthesis, is induced by both benzpyrene and phenobarbital. Induction of this enzyme by benzpyrene results in the stimulation of glycine-2-14C incorporation into hepatic microsomal heme in vivo and in the induction of cytochrome P-450 and N-demethylase activity. 3-Amino-1,2,4-triazole, an inhibitor of the second step in hepatic heme synthesis, prevents the stimulation of hepatic heme synthesis and the induction of P-450 and N-demethylase activity. It is suggested that induction of [delta]-aminolevulinic acid synthetase leading to increases in hepatic heme synthesis may be the mechanism by which benzpyrene induces cytochrome P-450 and certain hepatic microsomal oxidations.Peer Reviewedhttp://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/32915/1/0000295.pd

    Este trabalho pretende analisar a importância da Ecopedagogia no contexto educacional, principalmente na educação infantil. O trabalho apresenta reflexões a partir de uma discussão teórica e bibliográfica. As reflexões deste artigo surgiram a partir de uma abordagem qualitativa diante da pesquisa, onde a preocupação central foi discutir possíveis potencialidades e desafios de teorias da educação ambiental na atualidade. Os aportes teóricos sobre esta experiência se caracterizam como coração deste trabalho. Foram destacados a Ecopedagogia, e a Alfabetização Ecológica como temas importantes para se considerar uma educação do presente e para o futuro. Portanto, os resultados finais do trabalho apontam para questões importantes cuja finalidade é refletir os desafios da formação profissional docente no país à luz dos temas abordados, cujo caminho teórico revelou uma aproximação das temáticas com uma humanização, não apenas para o progresso do século XXI, mas para a ética humana e para a Terra enquanto organismo vivo. No que se refere a prática apontada, o trabalho enxerga na atividade chamada por conselho de todos os Seres um importante ponto de ligação entre os pressupostos básicos da Ecopedagogia e a educação infantil. Por fim, a pesquisa feita em repositórios de trabalhos científicos revelou o tema como um campo ainda muito pouco discutido em produções acadêmicas

    Further studies on the relationship of the stimulatory effects of phenobarbital and 3,4-benzpyrene on hepatic heme synthesis to their effects on hepatic microsomal drug oxidations

    The administration of either phenobarbital or 3,4-benzpyrene to rats resulted in the rapid and marked induction of [delta]-aminolevulinic acid synthetase (EC 2.3.1.13), the proposed initial and rate-limiting enzyme in the hepatic heme biosynthetic pathway. Enhanced formation of [delta]-aminolevulinic acid was followed sequentially by an enhancement of the liver's capacity to synthesize microsomal heme in vivo, increases in the content of cytochrome P-450 and protoheme in hepatic microsomes and stimulation of certain hepatic microsomal drug oxidations.Changes in the hepatic microsomal levels of cytochrome P-450 paralleled, in part, changes in the activity of hepatic [delta]-aminolevulinic acid synthetase and in the capacity of the liver to synthesize microsomal heme in vivo, suggesting that the rate of hepatic heme synthesis may control the rate of synthesis of hepatic microsomal cytochome P-450. Increases in the hepatic microsomal content of cytochrome b5, however, followed a different time course from that observed from either cytochrome P-450 or protoheme.The simultaneous administration of maximum stimulatory doses of phenobarbital and 3,4-benzpyrene did not result in an additive stimulation of [delta]-aminolevulinic acid synthetase activity, indicating that phenobarbital and 3,4-benzpyrene induce [delta]-aminolevulinic acid synthetase by the same or closely related mechanisms. However, the stimulatory effects of these agents on cytochrome P-450 and on the N-demethylation of 3-methyl-4-monomethylaminoazobenzene were additive, suggesting that differences may exist in the mechanism by which phenobarbital and 3,4-benzpyrene induce hepatic microsomal cytochrome P-450 and enhance certain hepatic microsomal drug oxidations.Peer Reviewedhttp://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/32724/1/0000092.pd

    Induction of hepatic mitochondrial ferrochelatase by phenobarbital

    Ferrochelatase, the catalyst for the last step in heme synthesis, is induced by chronic phenobarbital administration and this induction is prevented by the simultaneous administration of cycloheximide. This induction is revealed when the pyridine hemochrome was measured under anaerobic conditions but cobalt chelatase activity in hepatic mitochondria was not increased by phenobarbital. Furthermore, certain metals inhibited ferrochelatase activity but had no effect on cobalt chelatase. Although both delta aminolevulinic acid synthetase and ferrochelatase are located in a similar region in the mitochondria, the time course of induction for ferrochelatase is different than that observed for delta aminolevulinic acid synthetase.Peer Reviewedhttp://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/32718/1/0000085.pd
