Análisis Comparativo del Diseño Estructural de un Edificio de Concreto Armado de 4 Niveles, por Método Clásico y los Programas Etabs y Cypecad, Carapongo Chosica, Lima 2019
La investigación se da con la finalidad realizar el análisis comparativo del uso de programas
ETABS y CypeCAD, y el método clásico en el diseño de las estructuras de edificios de
concreto armado de 4 niveles ubicado en Carapongo Chosica, el cual se desarrollará a través
del plano de diseño arquitectónico definido de dicho proyecto.
El método de investigación del presente trabajo es no experimental, ya que se obtendrá datos
según los programas obtenidos y por el método clásico. Esperando lograr el objetivo del
presente trabajo en las variaciones de los resultados obtenidos en cada programa utilizado
en el proyecto de investigación.
El análisis y el diseño se ha realizado considerando las normas del Reglamento Nacional de
Edificaciones (RNE) según las normas NTE E.020 cargas, NTE E.030 diseño
Sismorresistente, E.050 Suelos y cimentaciones y NTE E.060 Concreto Armado.
Para el análisis comparativo se ha obtenido el estudio de suelos y capacidad portante de la
urbanizadora, se usará los programas de diseño ETABS y CypeCAD para la respuesta y el
análisis respectivo y el método clásico.
El procedimiento de análisis de las estructuras se realizará mediante la utilización de
programas ETABS versión 2016 y el programa CypeCAD versión 2017, como también se
realizará el método clásico para sí obtener resultados, analizar y comparar, de esta manera
se considerarán los lineamientos planteados en el reglamento vigentes según normas antes
mencionadas.
Con los datos obtenidos, los resultados de los diseños se realizarán el análisis comparativo
de las diferentes alternativas con las que se logró determinar las ventajas y desventajas de
utilizar en una u otra alternativa según resultado por cada programa de diseño de estructuras.
Finalmente se logró concluir que, con el programa CYPECAD tiene ventajas en cuanto a la
variedad herramientas que incluyen en el paquete de este programa, además de reducir el
tiempo en el modelamiento del diseño estructural, sin embargo, con el programa ETABS el
dominio para el diseño es más directo que el antes mencionado para la obtención del diseño
estructural en edificaciones
Search for H alpha emitters in Galaxy Clusters with Tunable Filters
The studies of the evolution of galaxies in Galaxy Clusters have as a
traditional complication the difficulty in establishing cluster membership of
those sources detected in the field of view. The determination of spectroscopic
redshifts involves long exposure times when it is needed to reach the cluster
peripherical regions of/or clusters at moderately large redshifts, while
photometric redshifts often present uncertainties too large to offer
significant conclusions. The mapping of the cluster of galaxies with narrow
band tunable filters makes it possible to reach large redshifts intervals with
an accuracy high enough to establish the source membership of those presenting
emission/absorption lines easily identifiable, as H alpha. Moreover, the
wavelength scan can include other lines as [NII], [OIII] or
allowing to distinguish those sources with strong stellar formation activity
and those with an active galactic nuclei. All this makes it possible to
estimate the stellar formation rate of the galaxies observed. This, together
with ancillary data in other wavelengths may lead to a good estimation of the
stellar formation histories. It will shed new light over the galaxy evolution
in clusters and will improve our understanding of galaxy evolution, especially
in the outer cluster regions, usually less studied and with significant
unexploited data that can not be correctly interpreted without redshift

Panels and models for accurate prediction of tumor mutation burden in tumor samples
Immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) is becoming standard-of-care in many types of human malignancies, but patient selection is still imperfect. Tumor mutation burden (TMB) is being evaluated as a biomarker for ICB in clinical trials, but most of the sequencing panels used to estimate it are inadequately designed. Here, we present a bioinformatics-based method to select panels and mathematical models for accurate TMB prediction. Our method is based on tumor-specific, forward-step selection of genes, generation of panels using a linear regression algorithm, and rigorous internal and external validation comparing predicted with experimental TMB. As a result, we propose cancer-specific panels for 14 malignancies which can offer reliable, clinically relevant estimates of TMBs. Identification of ovule and seed genes from Citrus clementina
[EN] Seedlessness is a highly desirable trait in fresh fruit. Citrus varieties, such as Clementine mandarin and other related species, show parthenocarpic fruit development without seeds due to self-incompatibility. In spite of that, these fruits frequently contain seeds as a result of cross-pollination by insects with compatible pollen from other citrus cultivars grown nearby. To solve this problem using a biotechnological approach we aim at the destruction of ovules and/or seeds by directing the expression of a toxic gene using the promoter of an ovule and/or seed specific gene. With the purpose of isolating this kind of genes we constructed two cDNA libraries from ovules and seeds at different developmental stages of the Clementine mandarin (Citrus clementina cv. Clemenules). A total of 1,014 ESTs from the ovule library and 1,042 ESTs from the seed library were generated, with a novelty percentage of 27% and 36% among the Spanish Citrus Functional Genomic Project (CFGP) ESTs database, respectively. Quantitative PCR analysis confirmed nearly specific expression in ovule and/or seed of two genes, TRANSPARENT TESTA16 (CcTT16) and TRANSPARENT TESTA7 (CcTT7). Expression of these two genes is restricted to early seed development, and is localized in the embryo sac and endothelium. The promoters of those genes may be useful to genetically engineer citrus species to avoid seed formation in fruits of commercial varieties.The authors thank Dr. L. Navarro and J. The Central role of KNG1 gene as a genetic determinant of coagulation pathway-related traits: Exploring metaphenotypes
Traditional genetic studies of single traits may be unable to detect the pleiotropic effects involved in complex diseases. To detect the correlation that exists between several phenotypes involved in the same biological process, we introduce an original methodology to analyze sets of correlated phenotypes involved in the coagulation cascade in genome-wide association studies. The methodology consists of a two-stage process. First, we define new phenotypic meta-variables (linear combinations of the original phenotypes), named metaphenotypes, by applying Independent Component Analysis for the multivariate analysis of correlated phenotypes (i.e. the levels of coagulation pathway–related proteins). The resulting
metaphenotypes integrate the information regarding the underlying biological process (i.e. thrombus/clot formation). Secondly, we take advantage of a family based Genome Wide Association Study to identify genetic elements influencing these metaphenotypes and consequently thrombosis risk. Our study utilized data from the GAIT Project (Genetic Analysis of Idiopathic Thrombophilia). We obtained 15 metaphenotypes, which showed significant heritabilities, ranging from 0.2 to 0.7. These results indicate the importance of genetic factors in the variability of these traits. We found 4 metaphenotypes that showed significant associations with SNPs. The most relevant were those mapped in a region near the HRG, FETUB and KNG1 genes. Our results are provocative since they show that the KNG1 locus plays a central role as a genetic determinant of the entire coagulation pathway and thrombus/clot formation. Integrating data from multiple correlated measurements through metaphenotypes is a promising approach to elucidate the hidden genetic mechanisms underlying complex diseases.Postprint (published version
Relapses and obstetric outcomes in women with multiple sclerosis planning pregnancy
Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of discontinuation of different disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) before pregnancy with
respect to the occurrence of relapses and pregnancy outcomes.
Methods Women with multiple sclerosis who desire to bear children were followed prospectively. Demographic data, clinical
characteristics, and the information on the use of DMTs were collected. A multivariate analysis was used to assess the
relationship between relapses and the prior use of different DMTs.
Results The present study assessed 75 consecutive pregnancy plans (66 women), 65 of which resulted in pregnancy. The
mean age of the participants was 32.1 ± 4.2 years, and the mean disease duration was 6.1 ± 4.2 years. No relapses before
pregnancy were reported in the group of women who maintained their DMT until pregnancy confirmation, while 14 relapses
were reported in 12/42 women (29%) who discontinued DMT before pregnancy. During pregnancy, patients on natalizumab
or fingolimod before pregnancy had a higher rate of relapses. Most women restarted their previous DMT after delivery within
the first trimester. The relapse rate in postpartum was 0.07.
Conclusions Disease-modifying therapies received influences the risk of relapse and disease progression from women who
are planning pregnancy. The risk of relapse during pregnancy was significantly higher in the group of women treated with
natalizumab or fingolimod compared to the group of women treated with interferon beta or glatiramer acetate. The postpartum
risk of relapses was lower than that found in previous reports
