HIFK:n ottelutapahtuman aikaisen viestinnän kehityssuunnitelma

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on kehittää SM-liiga jääkiekkojoukkue HIFK:n ottelutapahtuman aikaista viestintää yleisöystävällisempään suuntaan sekä Helsingin Jäähallissa että Internetissä. Työssä käydään läpi erilaisia viestinnän muotoja Helsingin Jäähallissa, kuten esimerkiksi mediakuutio ja sen uusimisen tarpeet, sekä muita yleisön viihtyvyyteen liittyviä asioita. Aluksi tutustutaan tapahtumaviestinnän käsitteisiin, jonka jälkeen on helpompi ymmärtää työssä esitettyjä ajatuksia koskien ottelutapahtuman viestintää. Hallin sisälle tehtäviin muutosehdotuksiin on käytetty tukena valokuvia sekä kuvamanipulaatioita, joita on muokattu Adoben Photoshopilla. Suunnitelman tietopohjana on käytetty erilaisia viestinnän tietokantoja kirjoista Internet-lähteisiin. Työssä esitettyjen ideoiden tueksi on myös toteutettu haastattelututkimus muutamille katsojille HIFK:n ottelun yhteydessä tammikuussa 2012. Työn tuloksena on tiivis suunnitelma ja tietopaketti HIFK:n ottelutapahtuman viestinnällisistä uusimistarpeista. Tämän työn pohjalta on helppo viedä ottelutapahtuman viestintää yleisöystävällisempään suuntaan.The meaning of this work is to improve SM-league hockey team HIFK’s communication at the ongoing match events at Helsinki Ice hall and Internet. The work includes a variety of ways of communication inside Helsinki’s Ice Hall, such as the media cube and the reasons for its renewal, and also other issues regarding the public entertainment. First the reader will learn about the event communication concepts, after which it’s easier to understand the ideas regarding the match event communication. Some task proposals inside the Ice Hall are made by picture manipulations that have been modified with Adobe Photoshop. The database of this work includes a variety of sources, such as books and the Internet. In addition to the database research, an interview was carried out during a HIFK match, in the context of the hockey match, played in January 2012. The result is an intense plan and information package for the HIFK’s match event communication renewal needs. Based on this work it is easier to develop ongoing hockey match communication to the next level

Randomised sham-controlled double-blind trial evaluating remote ischaemic preconditioning in solid organ transplantation : a study protocol for the RIPTRANS trial

Introduction Remote ischaemic preconditioning (RIPC) using a non-invasive pneumatic tourniquet is a potential method for reducing ischaemia-reperfusion injury. RIPC has been extensively studied in animal models and cardiac surgery, but scarcely in solid organ transplantation. RIPC could be an inexpensive and simple method to improve function of transplanted organs. Accordingly, we aim to study whether RIPC performed in brain-dead organ donors improves function and longevity of transplanted organs. Methods and analyses RIPTRANS is a multicentre, sham-controlled, parallel group, randomised superiority trial comparing RIPC intervention versus sham-intervention in brain-dead organ donors scheduled to donate at least one kidney. Recipients of the organs (kidney, liver, pancreas, heart, lungs) from a randomised donor will be included provided that they give written informed consent. The RIPC intervention is performed by inflating a thigh tourniquet to 300 mm Hg 4 times for 5 min. The intervention is done two times: first right after the declaration of brain death and second immediately before transferring the donor to the operating theatre. The sham group receives the tourniquet, but it is not inflated. The primary endpoint is delayed graft function (DGF) in kidney allografts. Secondary endpoints include short-term functional outcomes of transplanted organs, rejections and graft survival in various time points up to 20 years. We aim to show that RIPC reduces the incidence of DGF from 25% to 15%. According to this, the sample size is set to 500 kidney transplant recipients. Ethics and dissemination This study has been approved by Helsinki University Hospital Ethics Committee and Helsinki University Hospital's Institutional Review Board. The study protocol was be presented at the European Society of Organ Transplantation congress in Copenhagen 14-15 September 2019. Distinct vascular endothelial growth factor signals for lymphatic vessel enlargement and sprouting

Lymphatic vessel growth, or lymphangiogenesis, is regulated by vascular endothelial growth factor-C (VEGF-C) and -D via VEGF receptor 3 (VEGFR-3). Recent studies suggest that VEGF, which does not bind to VEGFR-3, can also induce lymphangiogenesis through unknown mechanisms. To dissect the receptor pathway that triggers VEGFR-3–independent lymphangiogenesis, we used both transgenic and adenoviral overexpression of placenta growth factor (PlGF) and VEGF-E, which are specific activators of VEGFR-1 and -2, respectively. Unlike PlGF, VEGF-E induced circumferential lymphatic vessel hyperplasia, but essentially no new vessel sprouting, when transduced into mouse skin via adenoviral vectors. This effect was not inhibited by blocking VEGF-C and -D. Postnatal lymphatic hyperplasia, without increased density of lymphatic vessels, was also detected in transgenic mice expressing VEGF-E in the skin, but not in mice expressing PlGF. Surprisingly, VEGF-E induced lymphatic hyperplasia postnatally, and it did not rescue the loss of lymphatic vessels in transgenic embryos where VEGF-C and VEGF-D were blocked. Our data suggests that VEGFR-2 signals promote lymphatic vessel enlargement, but unlike in the blood vessels, are not involved in vessel sprouting to generate new lymphatic vessels in vivo

Mississipistä länteen - dokumenttielokuvan suunnittelu ja toteutus

Opinnäytetyöni koostuu projektityöstä, joka on noin yhden tunnin mittainen dokumenttieloku-va sekä kirjallisesta osiosta, jossa perehdytään työn taustoihin ja toteutukseen. Projektityöni tavoitteena oli tuottaa dokumenttielokuva täysin omin voimin eli suunnitella ja toteuttaa kaikki työvaiheet (käsikirjoitus, kuvaus, äänitys, editointi, musiikki) itsenäisesti. Li-säksi etsin vastauksia kysymyksiin siitä, miten Suomesta muuttanut henkilö on sopeutunut Yhdysvaltoihin ja millaista on elämä siirtolaisena Yhdysvalloissa. Kirjallisen osuuden taustoitus koostuu dokumenttielokuvan historiasta ja sen merkittävimpien edustajien lyhyistä esittelyistä sekä kansainvälisesti että Suomessa erityisesti. Lisäksi kirjalli-sessa osiossa käydään lyhyesti läpi suomalaisten siirtolaisuuden historiaa suhteessa Yhdys-valtoihin. Materiaalina näissä olen käyttänyt lähdemateriaaleja, jotka on lueteltu kirjallisen osion lopussa. Työn tuloksena syntyi halutun kaltainen dokumenttielokuva, jonka kesto on 1 h 06 min sekä kirjallinen osio, jossa käydään läpi teoreettinen tausta edellä mainitulla tavalla sekä käydään läpi elokuvan tekemisen käytännön prosessi. Mukana on myös pohdintaa siitä, mitä elokuvan teko opetti sekä siitä, minkälaisia vaikeuksia elokuvan tekemisessä kohdattiin. Lisäksi vastataan kysymyksiin siirtolaisten sopeutumisesta tämän päivän Yhdysvaltoihin ja sen kulttuurillisesti hyvinkin erilaisiin osiin. Haastateltavien vastauksista käy hyvin ilmi, että ennakko-odotusten mukaisesti. Teksas osoittautui olevan erittäin konservatiivinen asuinympäristö. Kalifornia ja eritoten San Francis-co on puolestaan Yhdysvaltalaisittain katsottuna äärimmäinen liberaalin ajattelutavan linnake. Haastateltavien sopeutumisessa ympäristöihinsä ei ollut minkäänlaisia ongelmia, kaikki olivat hyvin tyytyväisiä elämäänsä ja tyytyväisiä siihen, että olivat emigroituneet Yhdysvaltoihin.Työhön kuuluu tekijän tuottama, käsikirjoittama, kuvaama, ohjaama, ja editoima dokumenttielokuva "Mississipistä länteen", joka on saatavilla DVD-muodossa
