    Contributo para a implementação de um Sistema de Gestão da Qualidade segundo a norma ISO 9001:2008

    Dissertação de mestrado integrado em Engenharia e Gestão IndustrialA presente dissertação apresenta o trabalho desenvolvido em ambiente industrial no âmbito do projeto do segundo semestre do quinto ano de Mestrado Integrado em Engenharia e Gestão Industrial, tendo como principal objetivo contribuir e estudar o desenvolvimento da implementação de um Sistema de Gestão da Qualidade segundo a norma ISO 9001:2008 na organização SIMSEG – Componentes para Motores, Lda. A qualidade e a satisfação dos clientes, reunidas através de um sistema de gestão eficiente onde a organização se foca nos seus clientes, produzindo de acordo com os seus requisitos, tornaram-se uma forma de diferenciação dos restantes concorrentes e uma forma de posicionamento no mercado. Com cada vez mais seguidores, a implementação do sistema de gestão da qualidade deve ter como impulsionador a gestão de topo da organização, que por sua vez toma esta decisão com base em motivações, podendo estas ser de origem interna ou externa, como por exemplo a melhoria interna da organização a nível de desempenho ou a pressão do mercado, respetivamente. Na partida para esta nova forma de gestão são esperados benefícios também eles de diferentes origens – internos, externos ou ambos. No estudo desenvolvido é descrito o planeamento do sistema de gestão da qualidade, a sua implementação, os estudos realizados com o intuito de diminuir os desperdícios da organização e os resultados do processo. Pode-se constatar que no que respeita aos benefícios e dificuldades sentidas, a organização segue os padrões já observados noutras organizações. No decorrer do processo que envolve a implementação do sistema de gestão da qualidade são percetíveis diferentes benefícios para a organização, melhorando o seu desempenho a nível de operações e de comunicação com os seus clientes. Todavia, da mesma forma são sentidas dificuldades, associadas à mudança de mentalidades, à responsabilização e envolvimento dos colaboradores. O sistema de gestão da qualidade potencia a evolução das organizações, contudo os seus colaboradores devem “remar” todos para um objetivo comum.This dissertation presents the work in an industrial environment under the project in the second half of the fifth year of Master degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, with the primary objective to contribute to study the development and implementation of a Quality Management System according to standard ISO 9001:2008 organization SIMSEG – Componentes para Motores, Lda. The quality and customer satisfaction, collected through a system of efficient management where the organization focuses on its clients, producing according to their requirements, have become a form of differentiation from other competitors and a form of market positioning. With more followers, the implementation of the quality management system must have the booster top management of the organization, which in turn makes this decision based on reasons, which may be internal or external source, such as improving internal organization in terms of performance or market pressure, respectively. In starting this new form of management they too are expected benefits from different sources - internal, external or both. In the study described the planning of the quality management system, its implementation, studies aiming to reduce the waste of the organization and the results of the process. It is evident that with regard to the benefits and difficulties, the organization follows the patterns already observed in other organizations. During the process that involves the implementation of quality management system are noticeable different benefits to the organization, improving its performance in terms of operations and communication with their customers. However, as experienced difficulties are associated with the change in attitude, accountability and employee involvement. The quality management system enhances the evolution of organizations, yet their employees should be "rowing" all for one common goal

    Olive oil consumption confers protective effects on maternal-fetal outcomes: A systematic review of the evidence

    Because of the maternal diet's importance, numerous studies have examined the effects of olive oil on pregnancy outcomes. This study provides a systematic review that evaluates the evidence between olive oil consumption and maternal-fetal outcomes. We hypothesized that olive oil reduced the risk of adverse pregnancy complications. We searched Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, and Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde electronic databases (October and November 2021). The keywords used were pregnancy, olive oil, and pregnancy outcomes. This review included all the available studies in English and Portuguese. The exclusion criteria were (1) unrelated to olive oil consumption, (2) other outcomes, and (3) animal studies. The review included 9 articles (6 experimental and 3 observational). In the maternal outcome studies (n = 6), a higher olive oil consumption was associated with a lower prevalence of gestational diabetes mellitus, preeclampsia, and cardiovascular risk. In the fetal outcome studies (n = 8), olive oil consumption was associated with a lower risk for small- or large-for-gestational-age infants.     Neuroprotective effects of anthocyanins are mediated by gut microbiota

    The microbes that collectively inhabit the gut, the gut microbiota, constitute the largest and most diverse community in the body. Besides having an important role in the regulation of host energy metabolism, the gut microbiota can also influence neurodevelopment, modulate behavior and contribute to the development of neurological disorders. High-fat (HF) diets are thought to disrupt the profile of the gut microbiota in a manner that may contribute to the neuroinflammation and neurobehavioral changes observed in obesity.     Mediterranean Diet has been considered one of the healthiest and sustainable dietary patterns existent, being also recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). One of the central aspects of Mediterranean Diet is olive oil consumption. Bragança is located at a region of a long tradition of olive oil production and consumption, however is not clear whether new generations are keeping this traditional heritage and if people coming from other countries adopt this cultural tradition of olive oil consumption and adherence to a Mediterranean Diet.N/

    Comunicação onde se apresentou a atividade de formação desenvolvida no âmbito do projeto “Centro Internacional Sobre o Envelhecimento”. Nesta atividade foram criadas sessões de capacitação com o objetivo de sensibilizar e capacitar técnicos, cuidadores e idosos da comunidade para a importância da alimentação como fator promotor de um envelhecimento mais ativo e com mais qualidade e vida. As temáticas abordadas nestas sessões foram as seguintes:” Risco nutricional, necessidades nutricionais no idos e estratégias alimentares”; “Alimentação no idoso com demência, disfagia e hidratação” e “Doenças Metabólicas: Obesidade, Diabetes mellitus, Doenças cardiovasculares e Hipertensão arterial” e “Alimentação saudável”.     A systematic analysis of an industrial pickup and placement production system

    Surface-mount technology is a method for producing electronic circuits in which the components are mounted or placed directly onto the surface of printed circuit boards. The purpose of this study was to analyze nozzle change in two production lines. Following a previous study, it was proposed that one type of nozzle would place resistors while another type of nozzle would place capacitors, contrary to what happened in the initial process, where the two placed both components. However, the change of nozzle was not done globally, but only applied to two specific types of capacitors that were more critical. Even so, the positive effect of this change was globally visible, both in the decreased number of component rejection and in the reduced number of component defects in the printed circuit boards. It was also possible to estimate the percentage saving and the expected growth from this new implementation. The data were validated using statistical analysis. Finally, the current cleaning periodicity of the nozzles was examined in order to verify if it was compromising their performance.- (undefined
