    Design of Ubiquitous Pulse Oximetry

    In recent years, people have difficulty to breathe a good air quality. It is caused by vehicle emission, household combustion devices, forest fires, and industrial facilities are regular sources of air pollutants. These air pollutants can impair people health and behavior. It means that decreasing oxygen supply can reduce our immune system. The effect of reducing oxygen in our blood cause rapid fatigue, difficulty breathing, muscle pain, eye irritation and even more severe would have a heart attack. Monitoring peoples' health is one of solutions to increase the quality of human life. The pulse oximetry widely used to measure the oxygen level or oxygen saturation (SpO2) in the blood. While it has long been an important tool in clinical practice, pulse oximetry has become a popular medical tool for outside hospital environment use. Pulse oximetery work by the principles of spectrophotometry: the relative absorption of red (absorbed by deoxygenated blood) and infrared (absorbed by oxygenated blood) light of the systolic component of the absorption waveform correlates to arterial blood oxygen saturations. Patients usually take measure using pulse oxymetry in a stationary condition. While pulse oximetry recording a patient's oxygen level, the finger should not move until the recording is completed. The previous research have been evaluated a pulse oximetry in mobile condition. This paper will investigate the relationship between oxygen saturation and light attenuation in the proposed design of the ubiquitous pulse oximetry in mobile condition. This design will help the future development of SpO2 recording ability while patient in walking condition and give good accuracy as same as off-the-shelf pulse oxymetry

    Pemantauan Posisi Object Menggunakan Algoritma Multiple Linier Regression

    Estimasi posisi adalah sebuah tren yang digunakan untuk memperkirakan posisi objek. Pada penelitian ini estimasi posisi objek diterapkan untuk penentuan posisi objek dalam ruangan gedung. Metode yang digunakan adalah algoritma Multiple Linear Regression dengan memanfaatkan RSSI pada Wifi yang ada disekitar gedung. Gedung yang digunakan adalah gedung kuliah Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Sriwijaya Indralaya. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa algoritma Multiple Linear Regression dengan memanfaatkan RSSI pada Wifi dapat digunakan untuk penentuan estimasi posisi objek didalam ruangan gedung dengan rata-rata akurasi 72% dari total 1.728 sampel data penelitian

    Network security is an important aspect in computer network defense. There are many threats find vulnerabilities and exploits for launching attacks. Threats that purpose to prevent users get the service of the system is Denial of Service (DoS). One of software application that can detect intrusion on is an Intrusion Detection System (IDS). IDS is a defense system to detect suspicious activity on the network. IDS has ability to categorize the various types of attack and not attack. In this research, Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ) neural network is used to classify the type of attacks. LVQ is a method to study the competitive supervised layer. If two input vectors approximately equal, then the competitive layers will put both the input vector into the same class. The results show IDS able to classify PING and UDP Floods are 100%

    Noise Reduction Technique for Heart Rate Monitoring Devices

    Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal has been widely used to detect the heart rate of the human, and it is useful in cardiac pathology. ECG detects several heart diseases of the patients. Wearable technology comes to be conducted as work as the monitoring devices to get the ECG signal directly from the patients. However, the movement of the patients will cause noises which interfere the result of the ECG. To overcome this problem, the digital filter is proposed to be designed and used in getting an accurate ECG signal. The filtering ECG results give likely in analysing the heart disease.The structures and the coefficients of the digital filters are designed using Filter Design & Analysis (FDA) tool in MATLAB. The analysis of magnitude responseis done in two type of the digital filter - the infinite impulse response (IIR) and finite impulse response (FIR). This paper evaluatesthat the FIR digital filter is more stable and better to be used in removing noise from ECG signals

Pada makalah ini akan dilakukan pembahasan mengenai navigasi perangkat lunak pembaca buku elektronik berbasis mobile berkamera depan menggunakan teknik Face Tracking yang telah dimodifikasi. Perubahan urutan proses dan pengembangan dari teknik face tracking dengan metode perbandingan warna citra telah dilakukan dalam OpenCV Frameworks. Dari hasil eksperimen didapat bahwa bahwa metode perbandingan warna citra dapat mengeliminasi proses perhitungan yang kompleks pada teknik face tracking dan mampu berjalan dalam memori yang terbatas

    Impact of Evaporation on the Performance of Ant Colony Optimization-Based Routing Protocols on the Wireless Sensor Network

    Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) has the characteristics limited computing, memory and energy, so a routing protocol that supports WSN network performance is needed. Routing protocols based Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) are very suitable for use in WSN for routing data packets. In this report, we will try out several kinds of parameter values that bear on the pheromone evaporation (ρ) on the ACO algorithms applied to the WSN routing protocol with grid topology on the number of nodes variables in the WSN network. Where this can increase the number of delivery packets on a busy WSN network and each node transmits a packet continuously. From the results, the value of ρ 0.75 makes WSN performance on the grid topology with the number of nodes 12 and 30 very good in terms of the delivery packet, but with the number of nodes 70 the value of ρ 0.70 makes WSN performance better than the delivery packet side

    Makalah ini memaparkan mengenai pengiriman data dengan proses CSMA/CA berbasis Opportunistic Random Access. Adapun yang menjadi latar belakang penulisan ini karena sering adanya proses pengiriman data yang hilang sebelum sampai atau packet lost. Evaluasi yang dilakukan menggunakan tools Omnet++. Skenario yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan 2 jenis node dan 2 jenis variasi kecepatan. Parameter – parameter Quality of Service seperti Delay, Throughput, Jitter, dan Routing Overhead digunakan dalam evaluasi kinerja algoritma Opportunistic Random Access dalam proses CSMA/CA. Hasil simulasi didapatkan bahwa proses  CSMA/CA menggunakan Opportunistic Random Acces memberikan efisiensi terhadap waktu dan efisiensi paket terhadap proses yang hanya menggunakan CSMA/CA saja

    Multilabel Classification for News Article Using Long Short-Term Memory

Like other machine learning, multilabel classification performance is limited when there is small labeled data and leads to the difficulty of capturing semantic relationships. In this case, it requires a multi-label text classification technique that can group four labels from news articles. Deep Learning is a proposed method for solving problems in multi-label text classification techniques. By comparing the seven proposed Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) models with large-scale datasets by dividing 4 LSTM models with 1 layer, 2 layer and 3-layer LSTM and Bidirectional LSTM to show that LSTM can achieve good performance in multi-label text classification. The results show that the evaluation of the performance of the 2-layer LSTM model in the training process obtained an accuracy of 96 with the highest testing accuracy of all models at 94.3. The performance results for model 3 with 1-layer LSTM obtained the average value of precision, recall, and f1-score equal to the 94 training process accuracy. This states that model 3 with 1-layer LSTM both training and testing process is better.  The comparison among seven proposed LSTM models shows that model 3 with 1 layer LSTM is the best model

    Bigram feature extraction and conditional random fields model to improve text classification clinical trial document

    In the field of health and medicine, there is a very important term known as clinical trials. Clinical trials are a type of activity that studies how the safest way to treat patients is. These clinical trials are usually written in unstructured free text which requires translation from a computer. The aim of this paper is to classify the texts of cancer clinical trial documents consisting of unstructured free texts taken from cancer clinical trial protocols. The proposed algorithm is conditional random Fields and bigram features. A new classification model from the cancer clinical trial document text is proposed to compete with other methods in terms of precision, recall, and f-1 score. The results of this study are better than the previous results, namely 88.07 precision, 88.05 recall and f-1 score 88.06
