Obstetric complications in women of reproductive age are often the result of puberty disorders which remain underestimated and not taken into account in pregnancy monitoring programs in such patients, leading to an increase of habitual non-carrying of pregnancy and negative obstetric effects. The objective of the research is to carry out a comprehensive multivariate assessment of the disturbances of the body adaptive processes in teenage girls, taking into account the data of anamnesis regarding the specifics of menstrual function regularization during puberty, and to determine the main factors of complicated pregnancy in this category of patients.Materials and methods. To carry out the task, 110 pregnant women with a disorder of menstrual function regularizationhave been prospectively examined (the main group); the examination was performed at the preconception stage and in the periods of 6-12, 22-24 and 32-36 weeks of pregnancy. The comparison group consisted of 30 patients with a normal menstrual cycle. In order to identify risk factors and predict complications, the odds ratio (OR) and its 95% confidence interval were used.Results. Extragenital pathology plays a significant role in the formation of pathological course of puberty and obstetric complications; 87.27% ofsuch cases were demonstrated in our study. Among the disorders of the ovarian-menstrual cycle, the structural significance is characteristic to the failure of the luteal phase and anovulatory disorders (78.18% of cases). Gynaecologic pathology includes inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs (35.45%), cervical background processes (41.66%), ovarian tumour lesions (21.81), and primary infertility(14.54%). The obtained results of the structure of pregnancy complications in patients of the main group show reproductive losses in early pregnancy (11.8%), subchorionic hematoma (28.18%) and the threat of late spontaneous abortion; these data are notedthree times more often than in the comparison group. Many cases of preeclampsia (28.18%), gestational anaemia in more than half of the observations, fetal distress during pregnancy (32.72%) and birth of children with a low weight (17.27%) are associated with the development of the primary placental dysfunction and pathology of vascular and thrombocytic component of haemostasis.Conclusions. Analysis of the obtained data confirmed that pregnant women with a disorder of menstrual function regularization in puberty are characterized by a significant number of complications during pregnancy and delivery, high rates of spontaneous abortions and missed miscarriages; all these factsshould be considered as potential risk factors. The key factors are the following: endocrine imbalance by type of oligomenorrhea and luteal phase deficiency (OR – 9.16; 2.21-23.24), inflammatory diseases of the genital tract, such as asymptomatic bacteriuria and bacterial vaginosis (OR – 14.26; 3.26-32.12), premature deliveryin past medical history, the risk of spontaneous miscarriages and subchorionic hematoma

The authors have determined the specific meaningful characteristics of proneness to conflict in youth, the essential features of personal determinants of its occurrence and overcoming. They have substantiated the personally-determined approach to overcoming conflict and described the structure and content of psycho-techniques for the activation of personal determinants of overcoming conflicts and proneness to conflict among modern students

Enhanced propagation of motile bacteria on surfaces due to forward scattering

    Get PDF
How motile bacteria move near a surface is a problem of fundamental biophysical interest and is key to the emergence of several phenomena of biological, ecological and medical relevance, including biofilm formation. Solid boundaries can strongly influence a cell's propulsion mechanism, thus leading many flagellated bacteria to describe long circular trajectories stably entrapped by the surface. Experimental studies on near-surface bacterial motility have, however, neglected the fact that real environments have typical microstructures varying on the scale of the cells' motion. Here, we show that micro-obstacles influence the propagation of peritrichously flagellated bacteria on a flat surface in a non-monotonic way. Instead of hindering it, an optimal, relatively low obstacle density can significantly enhance cells' propagation on surfaces due to individual forward-scattering events. This finding provides insight on the emerging dynamics of chiral active matter in complex environments and inspires possible routes to control microbial ecology in natural habitats

Protestant Pentecostals in the Post-War Repression in Southern Ukraine 1945 – 1953

The article examines one of the most dramatic pages in the history of the Pentecostal religious movement, which is related to the repression against them in the postwar years of 1945-1953 (the period of late Stalinism). The object of the study involves the communities of Pentecostals in the South of Ukraine, which operated in the territory of modern Mykolayiv and Odessa regions. After presenting the historiography of the question, it is shown that despite thorough scientific research on the activities of Protestant movements in Ukraine during the Soviet era, there are not enough separate studies related to the Pentecostals. Pentecostals were mainly studied in the context of other Protestant denominations, usually Baptists. Thus, the repressions between 1945 and 1953 are insufficiently covered. In fourteen cases stored in the Sectoral State Archives of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Archives of the Security Service of Ukraine in Mykolayiv region, the work of repressive bodies (People\u27s Commissariat of State Security – Ministry of State Security of the Ukrainian SSR) of the Ukrainian South were explored. The personal case of Andriy Mykhailovych Kits, arrested in 1946 and sentenced to correctional camps in 1947, is provided as an example and the content of other cases are analyzed. The absurdity and artificiality of the accusations and the severity of the sentences are also shown. The article ends with the authors’ conclusions

Activity of Evangelical Baptist Christians In Ukraine (1991-2021)

The religious movement of Evangelical Baptists is the largest in terms of the number of believers in the Ukrainian Protestant community. The review of missionary activity and social projects of this denomination presented is an outline of the key areas of work of Evangelical Baptists in Ukraine. The largest number of Protestant educational institutions in Ukraine belong to the Baptists. All Baptist educational institutions can be divided into two types: 1) general preparatory programs of state institutions (kindergartens, schools, institutes, educational centers), and 2) theological seminaries, which aim to train ministers to meet the spiritual needs of the church. Baptist higher education institutions are currently on the way to obtaining state accreditation. Over the last five years (2015-2020), thanks to volunteer work in eastern Ukraine, Baptists have become known to Ukrainian society as a church that is actively involved in meeting the needs of the population affected by the military conflict. Baptist believers are actively involved in the country\u27s political processes, many of them as deputies and regional leaders. Thanks to participation in interfaith activities within the Council of Evangelical Protestant Churches of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations, Evangelical Baptists have been able to publicly express themselves in the organization and holding of Thanksgiving, held annually since September 2017 in the capital of Ukraine

The study is devoted to the problem of surgical treatment, rehabilitation program and prevention of recurrences in intrauterine pathologies (polyposis and uterine adhesion) in women with reduced reproductive potential. The urgency of this problem is characterized by a high frequency of abnormal uterine bleeding, hypomenstrual syndrome and amenorrhea, infertility and miscarriage. Clinical data include the own experience of treatment and rehabilitation of 66 patients; women with intrauterine synechiae (32 people) were included in group 1; 34 patients with hyperplastic form of chronic endometritis and polyposis were included in group 2. The control group included 30 healthy patients without gynecological pathology and menstrual irregularities. All women underwent therapeutic hysteroscopy with adgeolysis and polypectomy. In the postoperative period, 24 patients of the main group received the proposed program to restore the endometrium and its implantation potential. The comparison group included 42 patients with general principles of postoperative management. The key points of the proposed program were: immunomodulatory therapy, hormone replacement therapy and the use of autoplasma. As a result of the study, a reduction in the recurrence of the adhesive process was proved, as well as a significantly higher number of cases of pregnancy. Thus, for the comprehensive treatment of intrauterine pathology in young women with reduced reproductive potential it is important not only to use minimally invasive office hysteroscopy, an active postoperative rehabilitation period is of great importance too
