Pembelajaran Bahasa Berbasis Lingkungan: Perspektif Ekolinguistik

Tulisan ini ditujukan untuk memberikan konsep pembelajaran bahasa berbasis lingkungan dalam perspektif Ekolinguistik. Perubahan lingkungan kebahasaan, tentu juga lingkungan sosial, kemanusiaan, dan kebudayaan, patut dikaji secara kritis. Demikian pula perkembangan budaya media khususnya, dan perubahan tata nilai kehidupan yang “sangat mendunia” ini perlu dicermati, disikapi, dan dievaluasi kembali secara lebih dalam. Kehidupan ini memang selalu berubah dan berkembang ke tingkat peradaban dan kebudayaan yang lebih tinggi. Akan tetapi, ke arah manakah hidup ini bergerak dan berubah, (secara khusus perubahan peran dan fungsi bahasa serta sikap para pemakainya), itulah sesungguhnya yang perlu direnungkan dan dievaluasi. Pembelajaran bahasa berbasis lingkungan diupayakan agar keanekabahasaan dan juga keberagaman bahasa yang merepresentasikan keanekaragaman hayati di lingkungan tertentu, dapat menjadi sumber penulisan dan upaya pelestarian bahasa-bahasa lokal, bahasa Indonesia, dan penguasaan bahasa asing. Melalui pembelajaran bahasa-bahasa yang berbasis lingkungan itu, peserta didik memulihkan kembali interaksi, interelasi, dan interdependensi dengan lingkungan hidup mereka, sekaligus mencegah gejala ketidakberakaran hidup mereka. Kata kunci: pembelajaran bahasa, perspektif ekolinguisti

Cultural Norms and Values Configuration in Acehnese Traditional Fishing Ritual

This study is aimed at providing an overview of cultural reality of Khanuri la’ot discourse, a traditional fishing ritual activity in Aceh Province. The objectives of this study are: to describe the cultural norms and values configuration from an ethno-pragmatic perspective. This study presents the role of cultural script in the analysis of norms and values in cultural discourse on natural semantic meta-language theory. It is considering that cultural norms and values constituted rules and regulation in social communication interaction practices. In conducting the research, this study followed qualitative method with its phenomenology approach in which data were obtained from observation in a khanuri la’ot ritual, and in depth interview with the respondents from Acehnese fishing community. The result of this study showed that there are some cultural norms and values found on the ritual in the community. They are: (1) politeness, (2) asserting hope, (3) respect, (4) family atmosphere, and (5) giving advice. The configuration of these cultural norms and values was in accordance with the understanding of knowledge and wisdom in terms of khanuri la’ot ritual system. Ecolexicon wealth of nautical expression in Kuta Lombok society: An environment-based learning supplement for elementary school

The research is treasures lexicon marriage in the community coast Kuta at Central Lombok. This research is descriptive qualitative to express languages phenomena in the community environment local coast. Data collection method is done with the methods observation, a method of taking, and methods capable. The method of analysis data was undertaken with described directly the outcome of the findings and aggregating based on the data obtained. Category biotic be a fish, marine plant, and of the water Category abiotic consists of a kind of a wave equipment fishermen, a character the sea, culture swim, and type of food. The Fauna Lexicon in Aceh Proverb: Ecolinguistic Study

The reciprocal relationship between humans and humans, humans and the nature around them, produces a variety of languages. Ecolinguistics is needed in studying aceh language phenomena. This study aims to describe the meaning, function, and form of the fauna lexicon in the culture of the people of Aceh. This research is descriptive-qualitative in nature. This research data collection technique consists of interview techniques and observation techniques. Interview techniques were used to obtain data on the meaning and function of fauna in the culture of the people of Aceh. While observation techniques are used to obtain data on fauna forms in the culture of the people of Aceh. Current facts show that the lexicon of fauna is still used by parents when advising the younger generation, and they cannot understand the meaning of the advice. This is caused by environmental changes and the times that affect the younger generation’s mindset. CONCEPTUAL METAPHOR IN THE PARABLES ON THE GOSPEL OF LUKE: AN ENGLISH - INDONESIAN TRANSLATION STUDY

This study aims at exploring the application of conceptual metaphors in the parable texts found in the Gospel of Luke and various strategies applied in the translation of conceptual metaphors from English into Bahasa Indonesia. The research utilizes qualitative method in the form of text analysis to analyze the translation product based on a parallel corpus derived from the English version of the New Living Translation Bible published in 2008 by Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia and its translation into Bahasa Indonesia. Metaphorical expressions in sub-corpus were identified using data reduction technique in the form of parable texts found in the Gospel of Luke, which were collected, selected, simplified and abstracted. The findings emerged from this study. Firstly, from the conceptual mapping all three categories of conceptual metaphor were discovered including orientational metaphor, ontological metaphors, and structural metaphor. Secondly, to overcome the problems of translating conceptual metaphors, the translators applied methods closely oriented towards target language (TL) based on a number of conceptual metaphors translation procedures.
