    Performance issues in optical burst/packet switching

It consists of an introduction, five sections with contributions on five different specific topics, and a final section dedicated to the conclusions. Each section contains an introductive state-of-the-art description of the specific topic and at least one contribution on that topic. The conclusions give some points on the current situation of the OPS/OBS paradigms

The Information-Centric Networking (ICN) provides a new data dissemination Internet paradigm to support the communication services that will meet the end-users’ modern requirements. ICN focuses on transmitting data rather than physical locations. It offers a cache-able environment to fulfill future requirements and delivers communication services with less congestion and bandwidth in a network. The current Internet needs to enhance its architectural design for information distribution by reducing the end-to-end communication practices. ICN-based architecture aims to fulfill the end-users’ requirements and provide a better communication system compared to the current Internet system. ICN implements in-network caching (storage) to facilitate unicast and multicast mechanisms at the same time to deploy efficient and appropriate transmission of the desired information. In this situation, temporary storage is deployed all over the network to serve the requested objects (contents). In the last few years, ICN has shown up as engineering to replace the Internet design. In this paper, a comprehensive study about ICN-based caching mechanisms to enhance the IP-based Internet technologies is presented and analyzes the possible benefits using caching with the Internet of Things, Blockchain, Software Defined Network, 5G, genomic data sets, fog, and edge computing. In the end, the ICN-based caching strategies are mentioned that provide a diverse solution to deal with IP-based Internet technologies in an efficient way to deliver fast data dissemination

    Sugar beet yellow net complex contains a luteovirus component

    Yellow net virus of sugar beet has, until now, been listed as a tentative member of the luteovirus genus, but this is the first study to show that the yellow net symptom (YN) is always associated with a luteovirus. This virus is related to beet mild yellowing virus (BMYV) and when transmitted alone causes a mild yellowing symptom similar to that caused by BMYV in beet. Plants with YN have been found to contain, in addition to the luteovirus, two prominent, low molecular weight double-stranded (ds)RNA species. This dsRNA is indicative of an extra component in a complex with the luteovirus, which gives rise to the conspicuous symptom. The range of experimental hosts for this virus has been extended to include Capsella bursa-pastoris and Physalis floridana

    Abstract This study aimed to evaluate the overall body dissatisfaction and in specific areas in adolescents who practice artistic gymnastic in elite and non-elite levels, and to analyze the influence of sociodemographic, anthropometric and maturational factors on body dissatisfaction. The research is characterized as transversal, quantitative, descriptive and correlational. The sample consisted of 285 adolescents, of both sexes, practicing gymnastics. They were divided into two groups: 245 non-elite athletes and 40 elite athletes. The participants were aged between 10 and 18 years (mean 12.86 ± 1.80) and were resident of the city of Três Rios-RJ. The assessment instruments were: Body Shape Questionnaire, Body Areas Scale, Critério de Classificação Econômica Brasil and socio-demographic questionnaire. Anthropometric and somatic maturation data were collected. The results showed that 24.9% of the non-elite athletes and 15% of elite athletes were dissatisfied with their body as a whole. For specific body areas, nonelite athletes were significantly more dissatisfied with their body area “weight” than the elite athletes. Sociodemographic and economic factors had no influence on overall body dissatisfaction. For non-elite athletes, only the body percentage of fat and somatic maturation were predictors for the overall body dissatisfaction and in specific areas, respectively. It was concluded that the non-elite athletes were more dissatisfied with their body and weight than the elite athletes
