The objective of this work is to advance in the knowledge of gay-lesbian families by studying their social support networks, which is a crucial aspect of any family context. Twenty-eight gay-lesbian families were included in the study, all with children between the ages of 3 and 16. Of these families, 15 were from the Andalusian region while 13 were from the Madrid area. The results indicate that these families have an extensive network of support figures, which include both family members and friends, who are both heterosexuals and homosexuals. In many cases, among these figures, other families with children are included. The mothers and fathers studies are highly satisfied with the support received from those people who are relevant in their lives. Likewise, we found that these families maintain frequent and warm relationships with their own families

This article analyses the progressive disempowerment of teachers rooted in professional concepts, institutional culture and educational change processes and it speculates on the mission that school consultation could develop to support the reversal of this process. It proposes the recovery of advocacy school consultation to give voice to students in order to promote teacher empowerment.Grupo FORCE (HUM-386). Pyrrole Functionalization by Copper‐Catalyzed Nitrene Transfer Reactions

    Get PDF
The catalytic functionalization of pyrroles by incorporation of a nitrene group is reported. The Cα‐H bond of 1H‐pyrrole is amidated upon the formal insertion of the NTs (Ts=p‐toluenesulfonyl) group catalyzed by TpBr3Cu(NCMe) (TpBr3=hydrotris(3,4,5‐tribromo‐pyrazolyl)borate). N‐substituted pyrroles also verify the same transformation. The mechanism proposal is similar to that previously described for benzene amidation with the same catalyst and PhI=NTs, which takes place through aziridine formation, ring opening and 1,2‐hydrogen shift. A cascade reaction involving the coupling of 2,5‐dimethylfuran, 1,2,3‐trimethyl‐pyrrole and a nitrene NTs group is also described, leading to a 1,2‐dihydropyridine‐imine compound.Support for this work was provided by the MINECO (CTQ2017‐82893‐C2‐1‐R and PO FEDER 2014‐2020, UHU‐1254043). Understanding the factors that modulate prokaryotic assemblages and their niche partitioning in marine environments is a longstanding challenge in marine microbial ecology. This study analyzes amplicon sequence variant (ASV) diversity and co-occurrence of prokaryotic (Archaea and Bacteria) communities through coastal-oceanic gradients in the NW Iberian upwelling system and adjacent open-ocean (Atlantic Ocean). Biogeographic patterns were investigated in relation with environmental conditions, mainly focusing on the optical signature of the dissolved organic matter (DOM). Alpha- and beta-diversity were horizontally homogeneous [with the only exception of Archaea (∌1700 m depth), attributed to the influence of Mediterranean water, MW], while beta-diversity was significantly vertically stratified. Prokaryotic communities were structured in four clusters (upper subsurface, lower subsurface, intermediate, and deep clusters). Deep (>2000 m) archaeal and bacterial assemblages, and intermediate (500-2000 m) Bacteria (mainly SAR202 and SAR406), were significantly related to humic-like DOM (FDOM-M), while intermediate Archaea were additionally related to biogeochemical attributes of the high-salinity signature of MW. Lower subsurface (100-500 m) Archaea (particularly one ASV belonging to the genus Candidatus Nitrosopelagicus) were mainly related to the imprint of high-salinity MW, while upper subsurface (≀100 m) archaeal assemblages (particularly some ASVs belonging to Marine Group II) were linked to protein-like DOM (aCDOM254). Conversely, both upper and lower subsurface bacterial assemblages were mainly linked to aCDOM254 (particularly ASVs belonging to Rhodobacteraceae, Cyanobacteria, and Flavobacteriaceae) and nitrite concentration (mainly members of Planctomycetes). Most importantly, our analysis unveiled depth-ecotypes, such as the ASVs MarG.II_1 belonging to the archaeal deep cluster (linked to FDOM-M) and MarG.II_2 belonging to the upper subsurface cluster (related to FDOM-T and aCDOM254). This result strongly suggests DOM-mediated vertical niche differentiation, with further implications for ecosystem functioning. Similarly, positive and negative co-occurrence relationships also suggested niche partitioning (e.g., between the closely related ASVs Thaum._Nit._Nit._Nit._1 and _2) and competitive exclusion (e.g., between Thaum._Nit._Nit._Nit._4 and _5), supporting the finding of non-randomly, vertically structured prokaryotic communities. Overall, differences between Archaea and Bacteria and among closely related ASVs were revealed in their preferential relationship with compositional changes in the DOM pool and environmental forcing. Our results provide new insights on the ecological processes shaping prokaryotic assembly and biogeography.VersiĂłn del edito

Influence of elevation and slope exposure on must volatiles of mencĂa cultivar from Ribeira Sacra (NW Spain)

Ribeira Sacra is a Spanish Denomination of Origen (D.O.) that produces young red wines from Mencía cultivar (Galicia, NW). The orography of the Ribeira Sacra D.O. is very characteristic and renders a wide variety of situations that combine elevation, orientation, slope exposure and slope inclination. Indeed, in this area all have terraced vineyards are very close to just one meter wide, where it is only a single row of vines and spread over the slopes which normally have a large inclination (70 to 80 ° slope). With a south-southwest direction, the vineyards are protected from cold winds from the north and the sun bathes the terraces throughout the day. The stone warmed by the sun during the day blunted the lower night temperatures avoiding frost. During the year 2009 we have studied the volatile composition of Mencía cultivar in six different situations (orientation and altitude) of Amandi subzone (Ribeira Sacra D.O.) and the relationship with the altitude and exposition. The results showed the influence climatic and topographic conditions on the volatile composition of Mencía grape grown along Amandi site from Ribeira Sacra D.O. Six different situations were studied and the data were analysed by analysis of variance and mean differences between situations were calculated using the LSD Fishers’ test. Biplot principal component analysis (PCA) was performed with mean of volatile compounds identified and quantified. The results showed significant differences among the different situations studied, showed different ripening states in the vineyard

Copper‐Catalyzed Selective Pyrrole Functionalization by Carbene Transfer Reaction

1H‐Pyrroles can be directly functionalized by means of the incorporation of carbene groups from diazo compounds, in a process catalyzed by TpxCu complexes (Tpx=hydrotrispyrazolylborate ligand). The reactions take place with a complete selectivity toward the formal insertion of the carbene into the Cα−H bond, leading to alkylated pyrroles, with no modification of the CÎČ−H, N−H or C=C bonds of the pyrrole unit. Alkyl substituents at C‐ring as well as alkyl, aryl, allyl or alkyne substitution at N atom are tolerated, the strategy affording 20 new pyrrole derivatives. The observance of partial deuteration at the methylene group when the reaction is carried out with added D2O serves to discard the direct insertion of the carbene group into the Csp2−H bond, the alternative electrophilic attack to the pyrrole ring being feasible.Support for this work was provided by the MINECO (CTQ2017- 82893-C2-1-R and PO FEDER 2014-2020, UHU-1254043). Personality and discomfort in a therapeutic skills training program using experiential methodology

One of the most useful methodologies for training therapeutic skills in the clinical and health field involves the use of experiential learning in the Role-Playing or Peer-Counselling modalities (Bennet-Levy 2006; Fusté et al., 2016; Ruiz et al., 2018). However, one of the drawbacks that this methodology can entail is the apparent discomfort of having to explain personal experiences. Different studies have suggested that the variations in the levels of distress experienced in the training programs can be associated with both aspects related to the training program, as well as personality factors. That is why the objective of this work is to analyze the relationship between the personality profile and the degree of discomfort manifested by psychologists in training when sharing personal experiences in a training environment
