Pengaruh Sholat Dhuha terhadap Penurunan Kadar Glukosa Darah
Prayer Dhuha when implemented in a County and tuma\u27ninah, will be two movements of muscle contraction isometric and isotonic muscular contractions. Movement with isometric and isotonic muscle contraction both can decrease blood glucose levels. This research aims to prove that Dhuha Prayer can decrease blood glucose levels. This research design uses âa randomized control group pre test - post test designâ, with independent variables is Dhuha Prayer and for the dependent variables is the blood glucose levels. The sample size in this study were 15 respondents respectively for the control and treatment groups. Samples are taken using simple random sampling. Statistical test use of SPSS with T-test, with significance level a †0,05. Test results of Independent T-testn, beforepraying Dhuha got value Ï = 0.650, whereas after prayers Dhuha got value Ï = 0.000. From these test results, the research concluded that there was an effect of prayer Dhuha with Decreased of blood glucose levels. Based on these results, then Dhuha prayer may be used as an alternative for substitute for exercise therapy in patients with diabetes mellitus. Dhuha Prayer has several advantages compared with exercise. However Dhuha prayer should never be used solely because they want to lower the blood glucose level. Prayer intentions simply because GOD and we hand it all to GOD, and the researcher was very confident that with the prayers Dhuha we do with the County \u27, tuma\u27ninah and istiqomah because GOD can cure patients with diabetes mellitus

Learning, Boundary Crossing and Activity Systems: The Case of the Foundation Degree at Restaurants Ltd
The purpose of the paper is to examine the link between Higher Education learning and the reconstruction of the learning back in the workplace, in a case study organisation with graduands from the foundation degree. Results from the interviews and questionnaires suggested that the respondents felt the learning was used back in the workplace. This study provides examples of the reconstructed learning. In conclusion, there is clear evidence of learning and linkages between HE learning and the reconstruction of learning in the workplace using the activity theory model. It is the nature of the assessment objects and the philosophy and culture driving the degree that largely facilitates this reconstruction of learning. The paper seeks to contribute to the scarce data identified in the work based learning literature identified by Smith et al (2013)
Oysters and APEL - Destined to be a delicacy? Evaluative Study of APEL Policy in Practice 2013
The paper uses social policy theory (SPT) in the context of a UK university (UKU) and RLtd to explore the nature of the APEL relationship. Surveys sent to students and other stakeholders along with the literary evidence provide data for this study. The paper argues that through the enactment and analysis of APEL, traditional approaches are highlighted, which show that APEL can lead to âtaken for granted practicesâ in HE, and become embodied as urban myth, and that many aspects of APEL donât appear changed over time; However the paper also argues that the enactment of APEL policy in different contexts can extend the concept, engagement and understanding of the benefits, illuminating successful outcomes between the different parties involved, and gaining increased credibility for HE collaborative partnerships in the current environment in which Higher Education Institutionâs (HEIâs) are now situated
Appropriate Assessment Strategy for Student Nurses: Practice and Theory?
The study examines student nurse attainment of pass grades at both theoretical and practical level. The rationale for the importance of this research is that it would provide an insight into whether the levels of assessment in the first year are appropriate. This research may also demonstrate whether students are more likely to pass practical assessments assessed by mentors in practice or theoretical assessments marked by academic staff in universities. It is pertinent to re-examine the curriculum and type of assessments that pre-registration student nurses undertake, in light of the recent drive for adding in care and compassion into the nursing curriculum following the Mid-Staffordshire enquiry and the subsequent Frances report. There is evidence which has demonstrated that mentors out in practice rarely fail students in their practical assessments
RELATIONSHIP OF COMMORBID DISEASE TO MORTALITY EVENTS IN COVID-19 PATIENTS
Keywords: Comorbid Disease, Mortality, Covid-19
Abstract
Background: Covid-19 is a disease caused by acute respiratory syndrome due to corona virus 2. Patients with Covid-19 experience symptoms of severe shortness of breath resulting in death. The risk of death for Covid-19 sufferers will be greater if the patient has a history of comorbid diseases such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease or kidney disease. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between comorbid diseases and the incidence of mortality in patients with Covid-19.Method: Research design using descriptive analytic. The research population was all Covid-19 sufferers who were treated at Mojowarno Christian Hospital (RSK) during 2021 totaling 450 sufferers. The research sample was 212 respondents with a sampling technique using systematic random sampling. The data was obtained from the medical records of Covid-19 patients who were treated at the Mojowarno Hospital. Statistical test using chi square and odds ratio with a significance level of P <0.05. Results: The results of the study found that comorbid diabetes mellitus showed a result of P: 0.000, meaning that there was a relationship between comorbid diabetes mellitus and the incidence of mortality in patients with Covid-19. Comorbid kidney disease shows a P value: 0.003, meaning that there is a relationship between comorbid kidney disease and the occurrence of mortality in Covid-19 sufferers. Comorbid heart disease results obtained P: 0.089, meaning that there is no relationship between comorbid heart disease and mortality in patients with Covid-19. Hypertensive comorbid disease on mortality with a P value: 0.134 meaning that there is no relationship between hypertension comorbid disease and the risk of mortality in patients with Covid-19. Conclusion:Covid-19 sufferers who have comorbid diabetes mellitus cause greater mortality. This is because diabetes mellitus can cause a cytokine storm which plays a role in increasing the severity of COVID-19 sufferers so that it often causes death
Optically modulated magnetic resonance of erbium implanted silicon
Er implanted Si is an important candidate for quantum and photonic applications, but the Er centres involved are poorly understood, which has hindered development of these applications. Here we present the first measurement of the crystal field splitting of the 4I13/2 manifold of Er implanted Si, using a technique we call optically modulated magnetic resonance (OMMR). Crystal field analysis allows us to determine that this splitting originates from a photoluminescence (PL) active O coordinated Er centre with orthorhombic symmetry, which is highly localised with, and magically coupled to, an electron paramagnetic resonance (ERP) active O coordinated Er centre with monoclinic symmetry. The orthorhombic centre has a g-factor in agreement with previous Zeeman measurements, and is associated with a previously unreported acceptor state at ~ Ev+425 cm-1, showing that Er in Si is amphoteric, and not a pure donor, as previously thought. The OMMR mechanism involves transitions from this acceptor state to the 4I13/2 manifold, followed by relaxation to the Zeeman ground state
