    Analysis of a Model for Ship Maneuvering

    We analyze numerically and theoretically steady states and bifurcations in a model for ship maneuvering provided by MARIN, and in a simplified model that combines rudder and propeller into an abstract ‘thruster’. Steady states in the model correspond to circular motion of the ship and we compute the corresponding radii. We non-dimensionalize the models and thereby remove a number of parameters, so that, due to a scaling symmetry, only the rudder (or thruster) angle remains as a free parameter. Using ‘degree theory’, we show that a slight modification of the model pos- sesses at least one steady state for each angle and find certain constraints on the possible steady state configuration. We show that straight motion is unstable for the Hamburg test case and use numerical continuation and bifurcation software to compute a number of curves of states together with their stability, and the corresponding radii of the ship motion. In particular, straight forward motion can be stabilised by increasing the rudder size parameter, and the smallest possible radius is ∼ 119 m. These analyses illustrate methods and tools from dynamical systems theory that can be used to analyse a model without simulation. Compared with simulations, the numerical bifurcation analysis is much less time consuming. We have implemented the model in MATLAB and the bifurcation software AUTO

    This research is conducted at PT. Bank Riaukepri Branch Teluk Kuantan Sub-Province Kuantan Singingi, as for intention of this research is to know influence of facility work to satisfaction of employees activity of PT. Bank Riaukepri Branch Teluk Kuantan Sub-Province Kuantan Singingi. Facility work as independent variable (X). Meanwhile satisfaction of activity as dependen variable (Y). Problem of this research is facility office making employees less satisfied in working in among others is network of internet which often there is trouble, availibility of limited office tranportasi. Later then place park specially of employees do not be provided so that vehicle of employees parking in place park client. While building still adequate enough, this matter because of PT. Bank Riaukepri Branch Teluk Kuantan Sub-Province Kuantan Singingi not yet owned building alone and in this time still rent two shop house building. Population and of sampel research taken by counted 32 responder. Date obtained from result of quetioner and here in after processed to later then tested with statistic through program of SPSS. Result of obtained calculation that activity facility have an effect on positive to satisfaction of employees activity of PT.     The use of Papuan red fruit as a supplementation ingredient in diluents is one solution to the high price of diluent raw materials. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using a diluent supplemented with red fruit extract (RFE) in various levels on the quality of liquid semen of Ongle crossbred cattle during storage at equilibration temperature. The research was conducted in the Animal Health Laboratory of Semangga District and the Independent Laboratory. The research method and design used were a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. This study used 4 diluting treatments, namely P0 = Tris egg yolk (TKT), P1 = (TKT + 0.1 ml RFE), P2 = (TKT + 0.3 ml RFE) and P3 = (TKT + 0.5 ml RFE). Semen was collected using an artificial vagina, immediately after the semen storage was evaluated macroscopically and microscopically. The homogenized semen was divided into 4 tubes, then put the semen into the straw as much as 0.25 ml. The next process is equilibration at 5oC for 2, 4, 6, 8 hours and evaluation of spermatozoa longivity is carried out at pots equilibration. The results showed that there was a difference (P <0.05) in the longivity of spermatozoa in P3 treatment against the control. In conclusion, it can be concluded that the red fruit extract supplementation in egg yolk tris diluent was able to maintain spermatozoa longevity.Pemanfaatan buah merah khas papua sebagai bahan suplementasi dalam pengencer merupakan salah satu solusi dari mahalnya harga bahan baku pengencer. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan pengencer yang disuplementasi Ekstrak buah merah (MBM) dalam berbagai level terhadap kualitas semen cair sapi peranakan ongle selama penyimpanan suhu ekulibrasi. Penelitian dilakukan di laboratorium kesehatan hewan Distrik Semangga dan Laboratorium Mandiri. Metode penelitian dan rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan 4 perlakuan pengencer yaitu P0 = Tris kuning telur (TKT), P1 = (TKT + 0.1 ml MBM), P2= (TKT + 0.3 ml MBM) dan P3= (TKT + 0.5 ml MBM). Semen dikoleksi menggunakan vagina buatan, sesaat setelah penampungan semen dievaluasi secara makroskopis dan mikroskopis. Semen yang telah dihomogenkan dibagi kedalam 4 tabung selanjutnya di masukkan semen kedalam straw sebanyak 0.25 ml. Proses selanjutnya adalah ekuilibrasi pada suhu 5oC selama 2, 4, 6, 8  jam dan evaluasi  longivitas spermatozoa dilakukan pada Pots ekuilibrasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan (P<0.05) pada longivitas spermatozoa pada perlakuan P3 terhadap Kontrol. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi Ekstrak buah merah dalam pengencer tris kuning telur mampu mempertahankan longvitas spermatozoa

    Tumpangsari tanaman sorgum dengan tanaman ubi kayu merupakan USAha pemanfaatan ruang kosong pada tanaman ubi kayu untuk meningkatkan penggunaan lahan. Persaingan cahaya matahari antartanaman yang ditumpangsarikan merupakan permasalahan dalam sistem ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola intersepsi cahaya matahari tiga varietas sorgum pada tingkat kerapatan tanaman berbeda pada sistem tumpangsari dengan ubi kayu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (BPTP) Desa Negara Ratu Kecamatan Natar, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan dari bulan Agustus sampai November 2014. Percobaan disusun secara faktorial (4x3) dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) dengan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah kerapatan tanaman (p), dan faktor kedua adalah varietas sorgum (g). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kerapatan empat tanaman perlubang tanam memiliki persentase intersepsi cahaya matahari tertinggi, (2) intersepsi cahaya matahari ketiga varietas sorgum menunjukkan pola yang relatif sama pada berbagai umur pengamatan (3) interaksi antara varietas dengan kerapatan tanaman memberikan perbedaan intersepsi cahaya matahari tanaman sorgum pada tumpangsari dengan ubi kayu pada umur 5 dan 7 mst dan (4) persentase intersepsi cahaya matahari tanaman sorgum nyata berkorelasi negatif dengan jumlah biji per malai, bobot biji per malai, bobot biji per m 2, bobot 100 butir, dan bobot brangkasan kering

    The main objective of this study is to determine the income and financial risks of freshwater aquaculture, especially tilapia. The study was conducted in Seginim, South Bengkulu, with consideration that Seginim is an area of aquaculture centers in South Bengkulu. Samples have been taken as many as 50 tilapia farmers. Data analysis was using quantitative and qualitative models. Approach starts from the calculation of operating cost, revenue, and income, and then the study of risk analysis approached by variance analysis. The results show that the income of freshwater fish farming, tilapia in particular, is Rp 59,512,743.75 per period of production per farming unit, and the level of business risk is quite high with the number of CV more than 50% (>0,5) and it has opportunity losing of income as much as minus Rp 7,127,386.37 per period of production

    One of several factor which influenced learning achievement is interest. This study aims to determine the relationship between student interest in student learning outcomes in mathematics fifth grade students of SDN Cluster 4 Districts Limapuluhkota Pekanbaru. Pebelitian methods are correlational. Mechanical sampling using cluster. Methods of data collection using a scale and technical documentation of the value of MID second semester. The analysis technique used is the technique of analysis Product Moment. Test requirements analysis in the form of normality and linearity test. Engineering analysis and test requirements analysis using SPSS 20. Results of research is conducted indicates that there is a relationship between interest in learning the mathematics learning outcomes fifth grade students of SDN group 4 Districts Limapuluhkota Pekanbaru obtained rxy of 0.374 with a low correlation level and also interest in learning to give effect to the results studied at 14%. Dioeroleh t test results obtained thitung 3.722 and 1.663 ttabel this case shows that there is a significant relationship between interest in learning the mathematics learning outcomes fifth grade students of SDN Cluster 4 Districts Limapuluhkota Pekanbaru

    Studi Laju Korosi Dan Surface Morfologi Pipa Bawah Laut API 5L Grade X65 Dengan Variasi Sudut Bending

    Proses bending banyak digunakan dalam proses produksi pada pipa. Proses ini akan menghasilkan peristiwa tensile dan compress, maka stress yang terjadi akibat gaya tekan atau gaya tarik ini akan bekerja simultan pada lingkungan korosif yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya korosi. Deformasi yang terjadi ini akan mengakibatkan perbedaan tingkat laju korosi pada setiap Perubahannya, yaitu dengan sudut bending yang berbeda. Oleh karena itu, untuk membuktikannya dilakukanlah penelitian dengan tiga sudut bending yang berbeda yaitu 60°, 90°, dan 135°. Material yang digunakan adalah pipa bawah laut API 5L Grade X65. Pipa ini dibending dengan sudut di atas, kemudian dipotong tiga spesimen pada setiap intrados dan ektsrados pipa untuk setiap sudut bending. Pengujian laju korosi dengan menggunakan sel tiga elektroda dengan campuran larutan FeCl3 dan 0,3% aquades. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai laju korosi untuk intrados bending pipa ; sudut bending 60° adalah 0,75 mm/year, sudut 90° adalah 0,64 mm/year, dan untuk sudut 135° adalah 0,43 mm/year. Sedangkan untuk ekstrados pipa; sudut 60° nilai laju korosinya adalah 0,59 mm/year, sudut 90° adalah 0,49 mm/year, dan untuk sudut bending 135° nilai laju korosinya adalah 0,4 mm/year. Analisa surface morfologi yang dilakukan pada spesimen menyimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi nilai laju korosi, maka bentuk permukaan dari spesimen akan semakin kasar,begitupun sebalikny
