Curricular innovation as a strategy for improvement in educational careers
This article was derived from a research project and its objective is to systematize the results of the diagnosis in the curricular improvement as part of the evaluation of the teaching-learning content of the redesigns in the Psychopedagogy and Initial Education careers of the Universidad Laica Vicente Rocafuerte of Guayaquil. The problem was related to the need to refine the designs of the careers, which starts from the revision of the curricular design approved in 2016 by the Council of Higher Education where critical-reflective scenarios were raised that justified the need for curricular innovation. Work tables were organized that promoted a hermeneutical exercise, to obtain support information in the curricular update and production of knowledge about the elaborated design. The approach considered was mixed, with a non-experimental descriptive design. A survey was applied to teachers and students on situations observed in the curricular design and an interview to the graduates who were part of the analyzed fabric and includes the exploration of resources to diagnose the practice and lay the foundations of the new curricular design. From this, different perspectives of future curricular planning were determined, to respond to the sustainability of the quality of Higher Education in educational careers. The changes analyzed and proposed for the academic organization of the curriculum based on the diagnosis made, will favor the contextualization of knowledge and the articulation of substantive processes in order to optimize the profile of the future professional through innovation. This article was derived from a research project and its objective is to systematize the results of the diagnosis in the curricular improvement as part of the evaluation of the teaching-learning content of the redesigns in the Psychopedagogy and Initial Education careers of the Universidad Laica Vicente Rocafuerte of Guayaquil. resultados del diagnóstico en la mejora curricular como parte de la evaluación de contenidos de
Graphite Oxide: A Simple and Reproducible Synthesis Route
The synthesis of graphite oxide (GrO) by oxidation of graphite has been carried out by different procedures. In this chapter, we describe a simple synthesis route based on Hummers’ method without the usage of NaNO3 achieving nearly the same outcomes, and this methodology is directed toward high-quality scale production of GrO with similar properties compared with GrO obtained with traditional and improved Hummers’ methods. The GrO was obtained in a series of batch reactions and characterized by different techniques, and the results showed identical interlayer d-space, type and content of oxygen functionalities, and ID/IG ratio. The high reproducibility of this methodology offers an efficient alternative for the large-scale production of graphene oxide
Development of phonological awareness abilities on mexican spanish-speaking preschoolers aged between 2;06 to 5;11 years
Nowadays, environmental pollution by organic wastes represents a worldwide task that requires effective solutions to reduce this issue. A great alternative is the use of ceramic coatings used as photocatalysts. Correct use of these coatings requires the design and construction of efficient photocatalytic reactors. This work presents the design and construction of a very low-cost aerated and stirred photocatalytic tank reactor. During the design, the geometry and illumination of the reactor were considered, as well as the integration of components such as agitation and bubbling to generate greater contact area and oxygen transfer with the photocatalytic coatings. The effect of temperature due to illumination was studied, the bubble size distribution and the mixing time were reported
Effect of THI, NDF and rumination in milk production by Holstein cows
Objective: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of the THI, NDF and rumination rate (RR) on milk production in Holstein cows in a dairy farm located in Bajío de San José, Jalisco
Design/methodology/approach: The temperature-humidity index (THI) is an indicator of the effect of the environmental climate can have on milk production, likewise nutritional content of forage is affected by weather conditions, as the neutral detergent fiber (NDF) is related with rumination activity of cows, increasing THI has shown a direct effect on milk production in cows. HealthyCow 24 ® CSR was used (SCR Engineers Ltd., Netanya, Israel), to monitor rumination, from a total record of 284 cows with 2, 3, and 4 lactacion through august to december 2020 period, analysing NDF content from total mixed ration and monitoring THI.
Results: The results showed there was no effect of THI on milk production (p>0.05), despite having reached 76 THI score, instead NDF (p<0.05) and RR (p<0.001) affected milk production, it was not found effect of THI on RR (p>0.05), and NDF had trend (p<0.1).
Limitations on study/implications: There were no limitations for this report.
Findings/conclusions: According to the results obtained, THI threshold should be reconsidered according to the resistance of productively active cattle on dairy farms.
