Konkurrensen inom banksektorn : - en kvalitativ studie om bankkunders upplevelser av ett bankbyte
Despite that the Swedish banking sector consists of many different actors, which provides more options for consumers in their choice of bank, the four major banks, Nordea, Swedbank, Handelsbanken and SEB, have a superior position in the banking sector. Although previous research shows that consumers lose confidence in the four major banks, there is still low consumer mobility in the banking sector. A change of bank is often described as a complicated process that takes a lot of time, which discourages consumers from implementing the change. This is a qualitative study of how bank customers experienced the change of bank. The purpose of this study is to gain a further understanding of how bank customers experience a bank change and what switching costs they experienced. The study is conducted with a deductive approach where previous research forms the basis for the interview questions used to collect data. A compilation of three well-known and widely used references about switching costs has formed the basis for the interviews questions. Ten semi-structured interviews were conducted with respondents who have changed banks in the past year. After the interviews have been presented, these are analyzed and the results of the study show that the respondents have experienced the change of bank as smoothly. The study concludes with a discussion about how customer mobility in the Swedish banking sector may increase.
Pivmecillinam with Amoxicillin/Clavulanic acid as step down oral therapy in febrile Urinary Tract Infections caused by ESBL-producing Enterobacterales (PACUTI)
BackgroundOral treatment alternatives for febrile urinary tract infections are limited in the era of increasing antimicrobial resistance. We aim to evaluate if the combination of pivmecillinam and amoxicillin/clavulanic acid is non-inferior to current alternatives for step-down therapy in adult patients with febrile urinary tract infection.MethodsWe plan to perform an investigator-initiated non-inferiority trial. Adult hospitalised patients treated with 1â5 days of intravenous antibiotics for acute febrile urinary tract infection caused by extended spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) producing Enterobacterales will be randomised 1:1 to either control (7â10 days of either oral ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice daily or oral trimethoprimâsulfamethoxazole 800 mg/160 mg twice daily or intravenous ertapenem 1 g once daily, depending on sex, drug allergy, glomerular filtration rate and susceptibility testing) or intervention (10 days of pivmecillinam 400 mg three times daily and amoxicillin/clavulanic acid 500/125 mg three times daily). The primary outcome will be clinical cure 10 days (+/â 2 days) after antibiotic treatment completion. Clinical cure is defined as being alive with absence of fever and return to non-infected baseline of urinary tract symptoms without additional antibiotic treatment or re-hospitalisation (for urinary tract infection) based on a centralised allocation-blinded structured telephone interview. We plan to recruit 330 patients to achieve 90% power based on a sample size simulation analysis using a two-group comparison, one-sided alpha of 2.5%, an absolute non-inferiority margin of 10% and expecting 93% clinical cure rate and 10% loss to follow-up. The primary endpoint will be analysed using generalised estimated equations and reported as risk difference for both intention-to-treat and per protocol populations. Patients are planned to be recruited from at least 10 centres in Sweden from 2023 to 2026.DiscussionIf the combination of pivmecillinam and amoxicillin/clavulanic acid is found to be non-inferior to the control drugs there are potential benefits in terms of tolerability, frequency of interactions, outpatient treatment, side effects, nosocomial infections and drive for further antimicrobial resistance compared to existing drugs
Exploration of a Web-based accessibility tool for public facilities
Purpose â This study aims to explore how an accessibility database (AD) has been developed and implemented as a tool for facility managers to evaluate and increase the accessibility of public facilities.Design/methodology/approach â Eight participants were strategically sampled for semi-structured interviews, and documents on the AD were gathered. The Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR) was used for a directed content analysis of the data. The CFIR domains used for the analysis were: intervention characteristics, outer setting, inner setting, characteristics of individuals and process.Findings â The development and implementation of the AD demonstrated the complexity in assessing and planning for increased accessibility. The communication and iterative processes within the inner as well as with the outer setting was an important part of the development and implementation, as well as anchoringeach step locally, regionally and nationally, within public authorities and disability organizations.Practical implications â The assessments of environmental barriers and the results reported in the AD can serve as a guide for identification of accessibility issues. However, singular identified barriers were reported as a fragmentation of the building regulations, and thereby when retrofitting is carried out, experts who have the competence to suggest solutions based on the entirety need to be involved to reach the goals of increased accessibility and countering of exclusion and discrimination.Originality/value â By structuring the implementation process by means of the CFIR, facilitators and barriers of using an AD as a basis for retrofitting were revealed. The practical challenges outlined in assessing and increasing accessibility can guide facility managers when considering actions to increase accessibility
Quality-of-life after bile duct injury repaired by hepaticojejunostomy : a national cohort study.
OBJECTIVES: Reports on quality-of-life (QoL) after bile duct injury (BDI) show conflicting results. The aim of this cohort study was to evaluate QoL stratified according to type of treatment. METHODS: QoL assessment using the SF-36 (36-item short form health survey) questionnaire. Patients with post-cholecystectomy BDI needing hepaticojejunostomy (HJ) were compared to all other treatments (BDI repair) and to patients without BDI at cholecystectomy (controls). RESULTS: Patients needing a HJ after BDI reported reduced long-term QoL irrespective of time for diagnosis and repair in both the physical (PCS; pâ<â.001) and mental (MCS; pâ<â.001) domain compared to both controls and patients with less severe BDI. QoL was comparable for BDI repair (nâ=â86) and controls (nâ=â192) in both PCS (pâ=â.171) and MCS (pâ=â.654). As a group, patients with BDI (nâ=â155) reported worse QoL than controls, in both the PCS (pâ<â.001) and MCS (pâ=â.012). Patients with a BDI detected intraoperatively (nâ=â124) reported better QoL than patients with a postoperative diagnosis. Patients with an immediate intraoperative repair (nâ=â99), including HJ, reported a better long-term QoL compared to patients subjected to a later procedure (nâ=â54). CONCLUSIONS: Patients with postoperative diagnosis and patients with BDIs needing biliary reconstruction with HJ both reported reduced long-term QoL

A Practical Study of the Development of a Web Application
This report declares the experiences and results arrived from the development process around the e-shop Studentlunchen. Studentlunchen is a web application to be used by students to order lunch during weekdays. In order to make Studentlunchen as user friendly and intuitive as possible the e-shop has been developed with focus on functionality and an attractive design. In the report there is a technical description regarding the web application together with a discussion concerning the developed solutions. Furthermore the report discusses and evaluates the working process Scrum and how it has been used. As a result of complying with the Scrum methodology to deliver working functionality after every sprint, focus has been directed towards achieving this instead of implementing many features that isnât fully completed. With thorough development of the initial prototype, the basic idea of the design and functionality surrounding Studentlunchen could be kept throughout the development process. This was one of the great contributors to the projects overall success and helped the team achieve the goal to make a user-friendly web application
Synthesis, characterization and crystal structure studies of 1-(4-Chloro-benzenesulfonyl)- piperidin-4-yl-diphenyl-methanol
1-(4-Chloro-benzenesulfonyl)-piperidin-4-yl-diphenyl-methanol was synthesized by the condensation of [piperidin-4-yl]-diphenyl-methanol with p-chlorobenzene sulfonylchloride in methylene dichloride as solvent and triethylamine as the base. The compound obtained was characterized by spectroscopic techniques and confirmed by X-ray crystallographic studies. The crystallographic data analysis reveals that the title compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with cell parameters a = 10.214(9) angstrom, b = 11.371(5) angstrom, c = 20.939(16) angstrom, beta = 115.399(2)degrees, V = 2197(3) angstrom(3) for Z = 4. The structure has been solved by direct methods and refined to R-1 = 0.0560 for 3658 observed reflections with I > 2 sigma(I). The piperidine ring is in a chair conformation. The geometry around the S atom is distorted from regular tetrahedron

Passive catheter tracking during interventional MRI using hyperpolarized 13C.
nterventional procedures in MRI can be performed preclinically using active or passive catheter-tracking methods. A novel passive nonproton technique is suggested that uses a catheter filled with a hyperpolarized C-13 contrast agent. A prototype three-lumen catheter was built with two closed lumens containing a flowing hyperpolarized C-13 contrast agent. Entire-length C-13 catheter projection visualization could be performed in vivo with a catheter SNR of similar to 80, one dual projection frame per similar to 700 ms, and an in-plane resolution of 2 x 2 mm(2) while traveling through the aorta of a pig. The traveling path of the C-13 catheter was visualized after back-projection catheter reconstruction and after image fusion with an anatomical offline proton road map. Catheter length visualization was aided by an oblique planar visualization mode. The high catheter signal demonstrated, together with the entire catheter length visualization and high surrounding soft-tissue contrast, warrants further development into a real-time technique
