Cooperación, competencia y dependencia en los paisajes agrarios de Andalucía y Marruecos

Marruecos aparece como un país cercano en distancia y estructura geológica, pero lejano en su sistema social, productivo y estructuras políticas. De esta forma, el amplio frente marítimo de Andalucía se convierte, por antonomasia, en la frontera de Marruecos con Europa. A pesar de ello, Marruecos sigue siendo el gran desconocido de los españoles y andaluces, a lo que contribuye la imagen de inseguridad de los últimos años, propiciada por el avance del fundamentalismo musulmán. En este contexto, se hacen necesarios nuevos escenarios de cooperación que permitan amortiguar las contradicciones entre la competencia de las agriculturas marroquíesandaluzas-españolas y la dependencia andaluza-española de mano de obra marroquí.Morocco may be close in terms of distance and geological structure, but it is distant as regards its social and production systems, and political structures. The extensive Andalusian sea coast is thus, par excellence, the Moroccan border with Europe. Nonetheless, Morocco is still the great unknown for Spanish and Andalusian people, which is reinforced by the image of instability of recent years, fuelled by the advance of Islamic fundamentalism. It is therefore necessary to create new cooperation forums to bridge the gap between the Moroccan-Andalusian-Spanish agricultural competition and the Andalusian-Spanish dependency on Moroccan labour

International structuring of the Spanish strawberry fields

Las tendencias actuales de la sociedad opulenta en el consumo de fruta están inclinando la balanza hacia los llamados berrys, donde se encuadran fresas, arándanos, moras, frambuesas..., buenas para la salud y fáciles de consumir. Ello está repercutiendo en intensas transformaciones agrarias, porque la información y el conocimiento creciente sobre la geodiversidad agrícola del planeta aúna nodos de agricultura innovadora, que no necesariamente tienen que tener continuidad geográfica, aunque sí una similar matriz tecnológica. Ello conforma conexiones de agronegocios a nivel planetario, como ocurre con la fresa española y otros berrys. En este contexto, los campos de fresa españoles, han establecido relaciones de diversa índole con territorios nacionales e internacionales. Más del 4% de la producción mundial de fresas es española y cerca del 8% si se descuenta China, pero además supone un capítulo extraordinariamente importante para la exportación española porque, desde una agricultura superficialmente reducida, se generan rentas que superan los 500 millones de euros y suponen en torno al 7% de la exportación frutícola española. En este trabajo se trata de descubrir, caracterizar y conocer las áreas y nodos de la vertebración internacional de las fresas españolas, porque son polos de desarrollo local y globalización.Current trends in the consumption of fruits in the affluent society are heading towards the consumption of berries, including strawberries, blueberries, mulberries, raspberries, etc., all of them healthy and easy to consume. This is leading to profound agricultural changes since the information and the increasing knowledge about the agricultural geodiversity of the planet integrates nodes of innovative agriculture that do not necessarily have to have geographical continuity, although they require a similar technological model. This is shaping the interconnections between agribusiness at the planetary level, as is the case with the Spanish strawberry and other Spanish berries. In this context, the Spanish strawberry fields have established relationships with various kinds of national and international territories. More than 4% of world production of strawberries comes from Spain, and about 8% if we exclude China, but it also represents an extraordinarily important part of the Spanish exports since a reduced piece of land is generating incomes that exceed €500 million and account for around 7% of the Spanish fruit-growing exports. This work seeks to discover, characterize and delve into the areas and nodes of the international structuring of Spanish strawberries since they are poles of local development and globalization

Expolio, subdesarrollo y planificación estratégica en El Andévalo Occidental

La Unión Europea, considerada como una de las áreas más desarrolladas del mundo, tiene espacios con graves problemas de subdesarrollo, determinados por la lógica de la acumulación capitalista. Este es el caso del Andévalo, en el Suroeste de España. Sobre este territorio, en el año 2002, se realizó una interesante investigación con objeto de orientar los procesos de desarrollo, descubriéndose un Modelo Primario Exportador que, entre 1850 y 1950, deformó las estructuras territoriales y productivas. Efectivamente, la exportación de minerales se hizo en base a un intenso expolio de recursos, que ha devastado las posibilidades de desarrollo. Actualmente, el Andévalo transita por una profunda crisis ambiental, económica y demográfica, en un contexto marcado por la globalización y la competencia entre territorios. Con objeto de salvar esta situación, se propone una metodología de planificación estratégica para espacios deprimidos y periféricos de Europa.___________________________________The European Union, one of the most developed areas in the world, still contains spaces with serious problems of underdevelopment, which are determined by the logic of capitalistic accumulation. This is the case of El Andévalo, in the South West of Spain. In this territory, in the year 2002 an interesting research was accomplished with the purpose of guiding developmental processes in the area. Between 1850 and 1950, a Primary Exporting Model ruled the economy of the region, distorting its territorial and productive resources. Effectively, the exportation of minerals was based on a dramatic spoliation of the natural resources which has destroyed all the possibilities of development. Nowadays, El Andévalo is undergoing a deep environmental, economic and demographic crisis due to two main circumstances the phenomenon of globalization and the competition between territories. With the purpose of sorting out this situation a strategic planning method for depressed and peripheral spaces in Europe is now proposed

El Estado de las cooperativas de consumo: un enfoque de abajo hacia arriba

Este trabajo parte de la duda sobre la continuidad y el futuro de las cooperativas de consumo. Para ello, realiza un análisis estadístico de la evolución de la Economía Social y sitúa, dentro del contexto VICA, a las cooperativas de consumo, con una perspectiva escalar que permite tener una visión territorial de Andalucía, España y Europa. Apoyado en el método científico inductivo (análisis descriptivo), la investigación traza la evolución y la situación actual de las cooperativas de consumo, abriendo un debate sobre el estrenado decrecimiento de estas empresas de Economía Social. Las principales derivaciones señalan una situación crítica y una desvinculación del ámbito local. Sin embargo, fuera del cuantitativismo, en las redes sociales, se observa un fortalecimiento de los valores del cooperativismo de consumo que podría abrir una nueva vía de crecimiento.This paper starts from the doubt about the continuity and the future of the consumer cooperatives. To do this, it carries out a statistical analysis of the evolution of the Social Economy and situates, within the VICA context, the consumer cooperatives, with a scalar perspective that allows having a territorial view of Andalusia, Spain and Europe. Based on the scientific inductive method (descriptive analysis), the research describes the evolution and the current situation of the consumer cooperatives, opening a debate about the first decline of these enterprises of Social Economy. The main conclusions show a critical situation and a disconnection from the local scope. However, outside of quantitative, in social networks there is a strengthening of the values of consumer co-operatives that could open a new path of growth
