Adaptive constraints for feature tracking
In this paper extensions to an existing tracking algorithm are described.
These extensions implement adaptive tracking constraints in the form
of regional upper-bound displacements and an adaptive track smoothness
constraint. Together, these constraints make the tracking algorithm
more flexible than the original algorithm (which used fixed tracking
parameters) and provide greater confidence in the tracking results.
The result of applying the new algorithm to high-resolution ECMWF
reanalysis data is shown as an example of its effectiveness
Wong-Zakai approximation of solutions to reflecting stochastic differential equations on domains in Euclidean spaces II
The strong convergence of Wong-Zakai approximations of the solution to the
reflecting stochastic differential equations was studied in [2]. We continue
the study and prove the strong convergence under weaker assumptions on the

Minimum Hamiltonian ascent trajectory evaluation (MASTRE) program (update to automatic flight trajectory design, performance prediction, and vehicle sizing for support of shuttle and shuttle derived vehicles) users manual
Documentation for the User Interface Program for the Minimum Hamiltonian Ascent Trajectory Evaluation (MASTRE) is provided. The User Interface Program is a separate software package designed to ease the user input requirements when using the MASTRE Trajectory Program. This document supplements documentation on the MASTRE Program that consists of the MASTRE Engineering Manual and the MASTRE Programmers Guide. The User Interface Program provides a series of menus and tables using the VAX Screen Management Guideline (SMG) software. These menus and tables allow the user to modify the MASTRE Program input without the need for learning the various program dependent mnemonics. In addition, the User Interface Program allows the user to modify and/or review additional input Namelist and data files, to build and review command files, to formulate and calculate mass properties related data, and to have a plotting capability
Accelerated return to sport after osteochondral autograft plug transfer
Background:Previous studies have reported varying return-to-sport protocols after knee cartilage restoration procedures.Purpose:To (1) evaluate the time for return to sport in athletes with an isolated chondral injury who underwent an accelerated return-to-sport protocol after osteochondral autograft plug transfer (OAT) and (2) evaluate clinical outcomes to assess for any consequences from the accelerated return to sport.Study Design:Case series; Level of evidence, 4.Methods:An institutional cohort of 152 OAT procedures was reviewed, of which 20 competitive athletes met inclusion and exclusion criteria. All patients underwent a physician-directed accelerated rehabilitation program after their procedure. Return to sport was determined for all athletes. Clinical outcomes were assessed using International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) and Tegner scores as well as assessment of level of participation on return to sport.Results:Return-to-sport data were available for all 20 athletes; 13 of 20 athletes (65%) were available for clinical evaluation at a mean 4.4-year follow-up. The mean time for return to sport for all 20 athletes was 82.9 ± 25 days (range, 38-134 days). All athletes were able to return to sport at their previous level and reported that they were satisfied or very satisfied with their surgical outcome and ability to return to sport. The mean postoperative IKDC score was 84.5 ± 9.5. The mean Tegner score prior to injury was 8.9 ± 1.7; it was 7.7 ± 1.9 at final follow-up.Conclusion:Competitive athletes with traumatic chondral defects treated with OAT managed using this protocol had reduced time to preinjury activity levels compared with what is currently reported, with excellent clinical outcomes and no serious long-term sequelae.</jats:sec

We survey known results about phase transitions in various models of
statistical physics when the underlying space is a nonamenable graph. Most
attention is devoted to transitive graphs and trees
Entropy and Hausdorff Dimension in Random Growing Trees
We investigate the limiting behavior of random tree growth in preferential
attachment models. The tree stems from a root, and we add vertices to the
system one-by-one at random, according to a rule which depends on the degree
distribution of the already existing tree. The so-called weight function, in
terms of which the rule of attachment is formulated, is such that each vertex
in the tree can have at most K children. We define the concept of a certain
random measure mu on the leaves of the limiting tree, which captures a global
property of the tree growth in a natural way. We prove that the Hausdorff and
the packing dimension of this limiting measure is equal and constant with
probability one. Moreover, the local dimension of mu equals the Hausdorff
dimension at mu-almost every point. We give an explicit formula for the
dimension, given the rule of attachment
Conditional Intensity and Gibbsianness of Determinantal Point Processes
The Papangelou intensities of determinantal (or fermion) point processes are
investigated. These exhibit a monotonicity property expressing the repulsive
nature of the interaction, and satisfy a bound implying stochastic domination
by a Poisson point process. We also show that determinantal point processes
satisfy the so-called condition which is a general form of
Gibbsianness. Under a continuity assumption, the Gibbsian conditional
