    The development of high quality and energy efficient lighting tunnel to ensure the necessary level of safety and visual comfort of the appropriate term design is a complex technical problem, whose solution is necessary to use modern methods of design based on existing regulations specific to these systems. An analysis of the factors affecting the visual process of the driver in the process of moving through the tunnel and development of real tunnel lighting system based on the proposed lighting technology design of such facilities have been fulfilled. The design of the tunnel lighting system was carried out taking into account zoning. To solve the problems of adaptation in the entrance area of the tunnel in the daytime, high illuminace of the road surface is ensured by installing a significant number of lighting devices. The recommendations on the characteristics of road surface and lighting devices lighting system to ensure the requirements of existing standards of comfort and light environment are presented.Рассмотрены особенности и нормы освещения тоннелей для обеспечения безопасности и зрительного комфорта с учетом адаптационных процессов. Продемонстрирована возможность использования компьютерного моделирования освещения для создания качественной осветительной установки тоннеля с учетом зонирования. Приведены результаты проектирования системы освещения тоннеля в Австралии.Розглянуто особливості та норми освітлення тунелів для забезпечення безпеки і зорового комфорту з урахуванням адаптаційних процесів. Продемонстровано можливість використання комп'ютерного моделювання освітлення для створення якісної освітлювальної установки тунелю з урахуванням зонування. Наведено результати проектування системи освітлення тунелю в Австралії

    Research of technologies and technical means for drilling and blasting of horizontal mine workings

    The main scientific and practical results of the study of technologies and technical means for drilling and blasting horizontal and inclined (up to 120) mine workings based on high-performance self-propelled drilling, loading and delivery and auxiliary equipment taking into account the study of changing geomechanical, mining and hydro-geological conditions of the field are presented and new designs of prismatic cuts. A technological audit of drilling and blasting of horizontal openings and calculation of the parameters of drilling and blasting of prismatic cuts was performed, which is provided by self-propelled drilling machines, for example, Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian manufacturers, as well as Atlas Copco, Sandvik, Tamrock and others. The research results can be used in underground mining of ore deposits of complex structure

    Substantiation of parameters of mine working drivage with blasting technique and cleaning charges in advance cutting holes

    Drilling and blasting operations (D&B) are the most difficult and laborious operations in the process of mineral extraction, requiring permanent development and upgrading of methods and equipment. The aim of the study is to substantiate the parameters of drilling and blasting drivage of horizontal and inclined (up to 12o) mine workings on the basis of high-performance self-propelled equipment and new designs of box cuts with cleaning explosive charges (0.2 kg of 6ZhV ammonite), placed in advance holes of 65 to 105 mm in diameter. The paper presents the results of the analysis of practical experience and scientific achievements in the field of drilling-andblasting rupture of solid media and continuum mechanics. The need for new designs of box cuts, reliability of which in the formation of high-quality (clean) cut cavity reaches 0.95-1.00, was substantiated. New design options of box cuts have been developed, the peculiarity of which consists in provision of sufficient compensation (peripheral) volume with the use of blast hole cut charges for blasting rupture of trapezoidal partitions, with the compensation volume factor of 2.50 to 1.34. Promising areas of research were shown using the example of complicated structure ore deposits and large faults in the Kirovograd ore district and crystalline rocks of the Ukrainian shield at the following mines of Ukraine: PJSC KZhRK, CJSC Sukhaya Balka (Kryvyi Rih), Vostok-Ruda LLC, SE VostGOK (Zheltye Vody), CJSC ZZhRK, etc. Promising areas of research were proposed using the example of complicated structure ore deposits typically formed at the junction of large faults; besides, the use of environmentally friendly emulsion explosives and self-propelled emulsion explosive chargers was recommended

    Dynamic model of elastoplastic normal collision of spherical particles under nonlocal plasticity

    The problem of normal collision of a spherical particle with a half-space is considered with allowance for nonlocal plastic deformation in the case where the strength limit depends on the contact radius, as well as for the strengthening effect in the deformed material. The dimensionless coefficient of normal velocity restitution has been calculated numerically as a function of the initial velocity of the spherical particle. The obtained data coincide well with experimental results available in the literature

This article is devoted to computer graphics. To create and manipulate realistic objects in computer graphics one needs to have powerful computers to perform a lot of complicated computations. Though, GPU in modern visual adapters is able to handle very complicated operations during short period of time, a lot of other devices (e.g. hand-held devices) not equipped with GPU require simplification of computations for image shading. Herein we suggest approximation of BRDF (Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function) which hard to get computed, by two quadratic polynomials

    Fast photoprocesses in a symmetric indotricarbocyanine dye (hitc) in solutions

    Spectral-kinetic and photochemical properties of HITC dye with iodide and perchlorate counterions have been studied in environments where the dye molecules exist in different ionic forms. In ethanol, the dye molecules exist as free ions; in dichlorobenzene, as contact ion pairs. Superfast transformation of non-stationary spectra in an HITC dye bleaching band is found. The observed effects are interpreted within the framework of concepts on "burning out" a notch in the contour of a non-uniformly widened vibronic band of S0 → S1-absorption. Qualitative differences in recorded absorption spectra from the dye excited electronic states for weakly and highly polar solvents are found. It is shown that the observed differences are caused by superfast charge transfer in the contact ion pairs that results in the formation of free radicals

    MHSP in reversed-biased operation mode for ion blocking in gas-avalanche multipliers

    We present recent results on the operation of gas-avalanche detectors comprising a cascade of gas electron multipliers (GEMs) and Micro-Hole and Strip Plates (MHSPs) multiplier operated in reversed-bias (R-MHSP) mode. The operation mechanism of the R-MHSP is explained and its potential contribution to ion-backflow (IBF) reduction is demonstrated. IBF values of 4E-3 were obtained in cascaded R-MHSP and GEM multipliers at gains of about 1E+4, though at the expense of reduced effective gain in the first R- MHSP multiplier in the cascade.Comment: 23 pages, 8 figure
