Synthetic Control Analysis:Impact of Sweden’s Incentive Abolishment on Electric Vehicle Demand : Does the discontinuation of the bonus policy affect the demand of electrical vehicles in Sweden?
In November 2022, the Swedish government decided to abolish the electric vehicle (EV) policyincentive “Klimatbonus”. We create a synthetic control group based on other countries withsimilar continuous policies to gauge the outcome of EV registration in Sweden had theabolishment not occurred. The purpose of this study was to estimate whether this decision hasgenerated a significant post-abolishment impact on the demand for EVs in the Swedish carmarket. Our findings show that even though the demand has decreased, the result is statisticallyinsignificant. We conclude the policymakers have correctly estimated that the effects ondemand will be small. With this study, we contribute to evaluating the treatment effects ofabolished EV policies
Tillgänglighetsproblematik inom Byggsektorn
The purpose of this report was to investigate the problems experienced by a variety of professions in the construction sector regarding the requirements that exist today and is set to accessibility during construction. The study was conducted in the form of semi structured interviews, to find out the problems experienced by different professions. Interview respondents consist of those working as local manager, project developers, landscape architect, land planner, constructor, fire engineer and architect. The result obtained shows that there are a variety of problem areas. Some unique to a profession, while others are commonly experienced and supported out of several different groups. Generally, it has been shown that there is no great understanding of each other and the problems experienced. The result mainly points out the problem that arises or will occur is affecting moisture. Regarding ground but also building technical details such as connections between the building and the balcony. Another large part of the result is of lack of space and the influence of the terrain and existing buildings. The economy has as always a strong impact. Shown by the result, moisture tend to be sidelined and often suffer from other requirements, this could lead to big problems in the future when many moisture related problems is hard to see right away but might be causing problems later on, such as mold growth. The requirements are spread across many different regulations and often make the project stage difficult. We believe that accessibility requirements are very important and are something we in Sweden can be proud of, but the pressure that has come in recent years has made it difficult for the construction industry to keep up with and acclimatize. To create a sustainable development all requirements should be considered

Oral Health Care in Home Care Service – Personnels’ Perspective
Elderly nowadays stay longer in their own home. This raises the standards on home care service to contribute to the maintenance of elderly’s general and oral health. Our objective is therefore to explore attitudes about how home care workers view oral health care and the importance of good oral health for elderly clients. 8 subjects (22 to 61 years of age) were selected for the study working in home care service, which all gave their informed consent. Semi-structured interviews were performed, recorded and transcribed verbatim before evaluation, using qualitative content analysis. From the interviews, a result of total 19 categories and 41 subcategories were assigned which were the bases for the 10 evolved themes. The four themes best representing the study’s purpose are more thoroughly described. At a low level of abstraction attitudes such as reminding the clients to brush their teeth and importance of practical help with oral hygiene are expressed as important. Difficulties occur in forms of lack of accessibility to the oral cavity and the client’s unwillingness to co-operate. The participants also require better contact with dental services. On the emotional level, feelings such as alienation, powerlessness and fear of breaking the client’s integrity occur along with feelings of distantness and lack of interest. This leading to a conclusion of a low level of awareness together with lack of knowledge about oral care and oral health is seen among personnel in home care service, while the personnel themselves are requesting more knowledge and better contact with dental health care services
A new energy and angle resolving electron spectrometer - First results
A new energy and angle resolved analyzer for photoelectron spectroscopy is described. This analyzer is based on combining an advanced focusing electron lens system with time-of-flight measurements. A position sensitive detector gives time and position for the electron events. From this information the kinetic energy and start direction are obtained through a transformation procedure, giving both a large luminosity and a very high energy resolution. The instrument analyses the angles of emission of the electrons in a cone with 30 degrees opening angle and simulations show that extremely high energy and angular resolution can be achieved simultaneously. We report the first results from this instrument, obtained at the PM-3 beam line at BESSY (Berlin, Germany). This analyzer opens up new possibilities for angular resolved electron spectroscopy, band-mapping and other applications. (C) 2010 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved
High-Resolution Raman and Luminescence Spectroscopy of Isotope-Pure (SiC)-Si-28-C-12, Natural and C-13 - Enriched 4H-SIC
The optical properties of isotope-pure (SiC)-Si-28-C-12, natural SiC and enriched with C-13 isotope samples of the 4H polytype are studied by means of Raman and photoluminescence spectroscopies. The phonon energies of the Raman active phonons at the Gamma point and the phonons at the M point of the Brillouin zone are experimentally determined. The excitonic bandgaps of the samples are accurately derived using tunable laser excitation and the phonon energies obtained from the photoluminescence spectra. Qualitative comparison with previously reported results on isotope-controlled Si is presented
Complete and long-lasting clinical responses in immune checkpoint inhibitor-resistant, metastasized melanoma treated with adoptive T cell transfer combined with DC vaccination
Development of T cell-directed immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) has revolutionized metastatic melanoma (MM) therapy, but <50% of treated patients experience durable responses. This phase I trial (NCT01946373) investigates the safety/feasibility of tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) adoptive cell therapy (ACT) combined with dendritic cell (DC) vaccination in MM patients progressing on ICI. An initial cohort (5 patients) received TIL therapy alone to evaluate safety and allow for optimization of TIL expansion protocols. A second cohort (first-in-man, 5 patients) received TIL combined with autologous tumor lysate-loaded DC vaccination. All patients received cyclophosphamide/fludarabine preconditioning prior to, and intravenous (i.v.) IL-2 after, TIL transfer. The DC vaccine was given as five intradermal injections after TIL and IL-2 administration. [F-18]-FDG PET/CT radiology was performed to evaluate clinical response, according to RECIST 1.1 (on the CT part). Immunological monitoring was performed by flow cytometry and T-cell receptor (TCR) sequencing. In the safety/optimization cohort, all patients had a mixed response or stable disease, but none durable. In the combination cohort, two patients experienced complete responses (CR) that are still ongoing (>36 and >18 months, respectively). In addition, two patients had partial responses (PR), one still ongoing (>42 months) with only a small bone-lesion remaining, and one of short duration (<4 months). One patient died early during treatment and did not receive DC. Long-lasting persistency of the injected TILs was demonstrated in blood. In summary, we report clinical responses by TIL therapy combined with DC vaccination in 4 out of 4 treated MM patients who previously failed ICI
