O presente artigo analisa a trajetória, a dinâmica e a estruturação das Cooperativas de Comercialização da Agricultura Familiar Integrada - COOPAFIs, que configuram uma experiência territorial pautada em princípios de democracia, cooperação e participação dos agricultores em todo o processo decisório. Têm como eixos orientadores o enfoque agroecológico, a diversificação do sistema produtivo e a geração de renda, contribuindo, dessa forma, para a produção de alimentos sadios, para a preservação do meio ambiente e para a diversificação dos processos sócio-econômicos da agricultura familiar.---------------------The present article analyzes the trajectory, the dynamics and the structure of the Cooperatives of Commercialization of Familiar Agriculture - COOPAFIs that configure a territorial experience of fortalecimento of familiar agriculture. Teoria crítica e direito internacional: uma visão pachukaniana de China Miéville

RESUMO:Dentro do emaranhado teórico cunhado como teoria crítica do direito, cabe aqui resgatar a sua vertente mais radical, aquela que vai à recôndita essência do fenômeno jurídico, e que consequente perpassa a face em que suas fraturas ficam mais expostas: a teoria materialista do direito internacional. O britânico China Miéville brinda-nos com uma reflexão original sobre a seara internacionalista, partindo e retomando as pistas legadas por Evguiéni Pachukanis, no início do século XX, para atingir o cume da crítica do direito, pela teoria da forma mercantil, ressaltando o caráter violento, de coerção, presente inerentemente na relação jurídica. É neste mundo, o do império do direito, é que reinam a miséria e o horror cotidianos e banalizados. ABSTRACT:Within the theoretical entanglement coined as critical legal studies, it is needed to address its most radical aspect, that goes inside the hidden essence of the legal phenomenon, and which consequently touches the face in which its fractures are most exposed: the materialist theory of international law. British China Miéville brings us an original reflection on the internationalist scenario, starting with and returning to the trails left by the early 20th century by Evguiéni Pachukanis to reach the summit of the critique of law, by the theory of commodity form, emphasizing the violent side, coercive, inherent in the legal relationship. MICROCRÉDITO RURAL: ANÁLISE SOBRE A MODALIDADE DO PRONAF B.

O presente artigo analisou as operações de investimento do Pronaf B, que trabalha com o microcrédito rural, em operações contratadas até 30 de junho de 2006. Verificou como está sendo conduzida a aplicação deste crédito rural, principalmente no Nordeste, em relação ao seu nível de inadimplência, bem como investigou as metodologias utilizadas na aplicação deste recurso, a colaboração do microcrédito para a diminuição da pobreza rural, a participação dos atores locais e a promoção do capital social.-------------The present article analyzed the operations of investment of Pronaf B, that works with the agricultural microcredit, in operations contracted up to 30 of June of 2006. Frequency of HLA B*5701 allele carriers in abacavir treated-HIV infected patients and controls from northeastern Brazil

n our study population from Northeastern Brazil, the frequency of HLA-B*5701 was between Caucasian and African ethnic groups; however, when stratifying for ethnicity, our findings show that the HLA B*5701 carriers' frequencies are more similar to those previously reported for Caucasians and Africans. Considering the clinical importance of hypersensitivity to Abacavir treatment in HIV-infected patients and the frequency of HLA B*5701 carriers reported in this study (3.1% in patients and 3.4% in the controls), we suggest the preventive use of HLA B*5701 testing in clinical practice in Abacavir treatment in Northeastern Brazil

Orbital apex syndrome affecting head and neck cancer patients : a case series

Orbital apex syndrome (OAS) is a complex and uncommon disorder that typically damages multiple cranial nerves in association with optic nerve dysfunction. OAS is associated with several different pathologies, however; only a few cases have been reported in association with head and neck cancer (HNC) so far. A case series of HNC patients diagnosed with OAS is described including clinicopathological data, image findings, and disease outcome. Ptosis and diplopia were diagnosed in four male patients with mean age of 61.2 years who were undergoing treatment for late-stage carcinomas of the tongue, larynx, and nasopharynx, eventually leading to the diagnosis of OAS. The mean overall survival rate after the diagnosis of OAS was 9.5 months. The current study reinforces evidence that OAS indicates poor prognosis and highlights the importance of early diagnosis

Determination of phases and residual stresses after martensitic transformation induced by rolling in 304L stainless steel

The 304L austenitic stainless steel is susceptible to deformation induced martensitic transformation. Thisphase transformation depends on the temperature as well as on the mode, rate and level of deformation. Inthis work the phases and residual stresses of a 304L TRIP steel where martensitic transformation was inducedby cold rolling were investigated by X-ray diffraction XRD. The analyses were performed for differentsample thicknesses. The results showed that the phase composition and the residual stresses are stronglydependent on sample thickness. All samples showed a compressive residual stress.Keywords: 304L Stainless Steel, Martensitic Transformation, Residual Stress, Thickness variation
