The primary aim of the project was to create a new hotel building with a wine gustation salon in a way which would interfere with the natural character of the surroundings as little as possible whilst offering a wide lookout. The purpose of this building facility is also more than four-star accommodations. The hotel also contains a restaurant, wine gustation salon with an adjacent wine gallery representing local wine area of Modré Hory and a spacious underground wellness complex making the stay at the hotel more pleasurable. The industrial conception of the building is inspired by wine production and the periodicality of vineyards which is observable on the front mounted facade. Preservation of the regularity of both horizontal and vertical rasters was possible thanks to this facade. Another interesting factor of the building is the roof of the overground part of the wellness center which is used as a staircase seating. This part of the object created a partially covered amphitheatre and a summer theater which also serves as the main front space entry of the hotel.

The object of this bachelor thesis is new building solution of a multifunctional house founded on the corner of the streets Táborská and Letní in the district Židenice of city Brno. The design is based on using a vacant lot, urban regulations, the needs for creation of student housing and the needs of residents of the particular district. The form of the object is designed in a way which abides the mass structure of the territory and also the spatial plan of city of Brno. The main aim was to use the vacant lot in the best way possible. The suggested object is divided in two functional units which this particular locality lacked and are based on structural possibilities. The public unit situated on the outer part of the object has the form of fully glazed facade, whereas the part intended for housing can be identified for the use of company Intecon galvanized copper plated trapezodial steel sheet residential containers. The area of the first floor parterre is lowered by one meter below the ground level because of a sports center with a bouldering wall. Other overground storeys consisting of residential containers operate as a place for sudent housing. Individual apartments are formed by the combination of two student rooms. The kitchen and dining room are located in the common areas on each floor of the building. The idea of materially spatial resolution is based on rotation of the cuboid residential containers by ninety degrees which allows them to fit together in a way that creates an atrium in the middle. The atrium and the sports areas are therefore lit by the accomodation areas.

Applied mathematics and English language belong among consequential subjects within the Faculty of Economics and Management curriculum. The authors focused on these two subjects and apart from their description they deal with entrance exam analysis for bachelor degree at the Faculty of Economics and Management, which is a part of the University of Defence. In an endeavour to widen the understanding referring to factors predicting academic achievement in tertiary education, the authors compare the entrance test results and try to find out whether there is an independent relationship between success in the English language test and success in the Learning Potential Test. Exploratory statistics and methods of non-parametric statistics for testing of the hypothesis regarding this relationship is described in the last part of this article

The aim of this work was to evaluate microbial quality and the presence of biogenic amines in raw bars. This study was focused on microbiological research in order to determine the presence of selected indicator groups of microorganisms depending on the composition of raw food. Identification of microorganisms was carried out by MALDI-TOF MS. In the second part of the experiment, biogenic amines and polyamines were analyzed using high performance liquid chromatography with UV/VIS detection. An increased incidence of mold has been reported in the samples, which is associated with a risk of mycotoxin production. After identifying microorganisms, it was found out that genera Micrococcus, Bacillus and Staphylococcus were the most represented. The highest concentration of biogenic amines (tyramine 42.2 ±4.8 mg.kg-1; putrescine 54.0 ±2.9 mg.kg-1) was found in a sample containing the vegetable component. The average concentration of biogenic amines in the tested raw bars was < 30 mg.kg-1 and therefore they do not pose a serious health hazard to a consumer. © 2019 Potravinarstvo Slovak Journal of Food Sciences

This master thesis is focus on the European Structural Funds. The main objective is to analyze the impact of European subsidies on competitiveness of the industrial companies in the Czech Republic. For this purpose I compare the performance of companies that have received public subsidies to that of similar companies that have not received it. Measuring of the competitiveness in this paper is based on financial indicators. The subsidy effect is evaluated for the Operational program Industry and Enterprise which provided a support for Czech manufacturing companies from 2004 to 2006. The theoretical part starts with the basic parameter of Structural Funds and there are also mentioned resultes of related studies for comparison. In the analytical part is analysed the impact of subsidy on companies by using t-test and regression analysis from the period of 2006 -- 2011. Information is obtained from CzechInvest and database Albertina Data. Final conclusions do not confirm the possitive effect of subsidy on companies competitiveness

This work is an investigation of Czech Gothic murals in castle chapels in Bohemia. The key for including of a mural to the catalogue was the founding date between early middle-ages up to the year 1526; end of the hegemony of the Jagellon dynasty amongst Bohemian Kingdom. The core of the work is a comprehensive catalogue of such murals. Included are 12 localities where these murals can be found, dating through 300 years of the middle-ages. Not included in this catalogue are the three well-documented sacral spaces in Karlštejn castle, although they also fit the time period in question. It must be acknowledged that the Karlštejn chapel murals are key elements in understanding this style and era, due to their quality and influential nature. This essay sought to isolate and explore any specific typology in this class of artwork. However, it must be stated that no such unique common character exists. The murals are more a reflection of the requirements and tastes of the individual patrons; they also express the fashion of their particular eras. There are also discrepancies in quality, which vary from century to century. In the 14th century, the quality of the investigated murals cannot be compared to that of paintings in the court of the King. However, by the late 15th and 16th centuries, the quality of murals..

This master thesis is focus on the European Structural Funds.

    No full text
PhD thesis describes and compares carabid beetle communities (Coleoptera: Carabidae) from six quarries in various stages of succession - from the initial succession on bare substrate of a still active quarry to the succession in the high level of development in the quarry which is closed for more than four decades. The active quarries hosted a higher number of species of ground beetles than the quarries with a higher stage of succession. The occurrence of species corresponds to their habitat preference. It was found that species of open habitats, together with macropteric and eurytopic species, were strongly associated with a higher herb layer coverage. Forest species were positively correlated with the total vegetation coverage. The number of species and individuals of macropterous ground beetles was highest in the active and medium-term quarries, on the contrary, the lowest in the old quarries. Significant influence on the occurrence of ground beetles had total vegetation coverage and slope habitat
