    Development of air quality monitoring system in closed environment

    For closed environment, the characteristic is that the confined space is small and it doesn't flow with the outside world, it will produce nausea, dizziness, weakness and other symptoms if one stayed in that environment for long time. For this, developing a monitoring system of air quality in closed environment has theoretical significance and great value. In this paper, a modular design method is used to design a closed air quality monitoring system, The air quality monitoring system is composed of a main board and detection modules. When the measured closed environment is changed, it is only necessary to add or reduce the corresponding detection module, which increases the flexibility of the system and the convenience of later maintenance, and evaluation algorithm based on fuzzy mathematics is established. The measurement and air quality evaluation experiments are carried out using the developed monitoring system, The results show that the air quality evaluation algorithm can effectively evaluate the environmental air quality, and the measurement accuracy of the environmental parameters can meet the relevant standards

    An Experimental Study of Within- and Cross-cultural Cooperation: Chinese and American Play in the Prisoner’s Dilemma Game

    We study whether cross- and within-culture groups have different cooperation rates in the Prisoner’s Dilemma Game. In an experiment, university students in China and America engage in a single iteration of the game, complete belief elicitation tasks regarding their opponents’ play and take a survey including attitudinal measurements regarding their in- and out-group attitudes. Cooperation rates are higher across the two countries are higher in both cross-culture and in within-culture interactions, although not significantly. We also find that Chinese participants cooperate less than American ones. Further, female Chinese participants are more cooperative than Chinese male ones. In the cross-culture treatment, Chinese participants underestimate the likelihood of cooperative behavior of their American counterparts, while Americans overestimate the same likelihood of their Chinese counterparts. Our results also show that Chinese participants cooperate more conditionally than American ones. Finally, while we find some attitudinal in- and out-biases both they do not generate meaningful impact on cooperative behavior

    Combination of MRO SHARAD and deep-learning-based DTM to search for subsurface features in Oxia Planum, Mars

    Context. Oxia Planum is a mid-latitude region on Mars that attracts a great amount of interest worldwide. An orbiting radar provides an effective way to probe the Martian subsurface and detect buried layers or geomorphological features. The Shallow radar orbital radar system on board the NASA Mars reconnaissance orbiter transmits pulsed signals towards the nadir and receives returned echoes from dielectric boundaries. However, radar clutter can be induced by a higher topography of the off-nadir region than that at the nadir, which is then manifested as subsurface reflectors in the radar image. Aims. This study combines radar observations, terrain models, and surface images to investigate the subsurface features of the ExoMars landing site in Oxia Planum. Methods. Possible subsurface features are observed in radargrams. Radar clutter is simulated using the terrain models, and these are then compared to radar observations to exclude clutter and identify possible subsurface return echoes. Finally, the dielectric constant is estimated with measurements in both radargrams and surface imagery. Results. The resolution and quality of the terrain models greatly influence the clutter simulations. Higher resolution can produce finer cluttergrams, which assists in identifying possible subsurface features. One possible subsurface layering sequence is identified in one radargram. Conclusions. A combination of radar observations, terrain models, and surface images reveals the dielectric constant of the surface deposit in Oxia Planum to be 4.9–8.8, indicating that the surface-covering material is made up of clay-bearing units in this region

    Temporally Guided Music-to-Body-Movement Generation

    This paper presents a neural network model to generate virtual violinist's 3-D skeleton movements from music audio. Improved from the conventional recurrent neural network models for generating 2-D skeleton data in previous works, the proposed model incorporates an encoder-decoder architecture, as well as the self-attention mechanism to model the complicated dynamics in body movement sequences. To facilitate the optimization of self-attention model, beat tracking is applied to determine effective sizes and boundaries of the training examples. The decoder is accompanied with a refining network and a bowing attack inference mechanism to emphasize the right-hand behavior and bowing attack timing. Both objective and subjective evaluations reveal that the proposed model outperforms the state-of-the-art methods. To the best of our knowledge, this work represents the first attempt to generate 3-D violinists' body movements considering key features in musical body movement

    National report on the governance of the asylum reception system in Luxembourg

    The national report on the governance of the reception system in Luxembourg is one of the seven country reports that are produced within Work Package 3 of the H2020 project CEASEVAL. The report provides an overview of the Luxembourgish reception system. More specifically, it focuses on recent transformations that have affected the system, processes of implementation at the national and local levels, and sources of heterogeneity within the national system. It is based on document analysis as well as on 19 semi-structured interviews with a range of different stakeholders who are directly or indirectly involved in the Luxembourgish reception system. The report first provides some historical background on the reception of asylum seekers in Luxembourg by paying specific attention to the main legislative instruments that shaped the initial design of the national reception system. Then, the main revisions that affected the system in the period 2009-2018 are explored alongside their related decision-making processes. This paves the way for an overview of the formal structure of the Luxembourgish reception system. After the discussion of the formal organisation of reception policies in the country, the report moves on to explore the actual functioning of the reception system by investigating implementation practices at the national and local levels. Finally, some examples of heterogeneity in the current provision of reception are discussed, in an attempt to identify drivers of convergence and divergence in the implementation of reception policies

    Complete remission of advanced pancreatic cancer induced by claudin18.2-targeted CAR-T cell therapy: a case report

    Pancreatic cancer (PC) is one of the most malignant tumors in digestive system due to its highly invasive and metastatic properties. At present, conventional treatment strategies for PC show the limited clinical efficacy. Therefore, novel effective therapeutic strategies are urgently needed. Here, we report a case of complete remission of advanced PC induced by claudin18.2-targeted CAR-T cell therapy. The patient was a 72-year-old man who was diagnosed with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma 2 years ago, and he experienced tumor recurrence and multiple metastases after pancreaticoduodenectomy and multi-line chemotherapies, including liver, peritoneum, and cervical lymph node metastases. Then, the patient was referred to our department for further treatment of metastatic PC, and he was enrolled in a clinical trial of claudin18.2-targeted CAR-T cell therapy. After lymphodepleting chemotherapy, the patient received claudin18.2-targeted CAR-T cell infusion at a dose of 1.2 × 106 cells/kg on November 21, 2022. During CAR-T cell therapy, the patient experienced grade 2 cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and gastric mucosa injury, which were controlled by tocilizumab and conventional symptomatic and supportive treatment. The patient achieved a complete response (CR) 1 month after claudin18.2-targeted CAR-T cell therapy, and remained in clinical remission for 8 months. Unfortunately, the patient experienced claudin18.2-negative relapse in July, 2023. Despite antigen-negative relapse after claudin18.2-targeted CAR-T cell infusion, the patient achieved sustained remission for 8 months, which indicates that claudin18.2-targeted CAR-T cell therapy is an extremely effective therapeutic strategy for the treatment of advanced PC
