PBW deformations of a Fomin–Kirillov Algebra and other examples
We begin the study of PBW deformations of graded algebras relevant to the theory of Hopf algebras. One of our examples is the Fomin–Kirillov algebra E3. Another one appeared in a paper of GarcÃa Iglesias and Vay. As a consequence of our methods, we determine when the deformations are semisimple and we are able to produce PBW bases and polynomial identities for these deformations.Fil: Heckenberger, I.. On Nichols algebras over SL(2,Fq) and GL(2,Fq)
We compute necessary conditions on Yetter-Drinfeld modules over the groups
SL(2,Fq) and GL(2,Fq) to generate finite dimensional Nichols algebras. This is
a first step towards a classification of pointed Hopf algebras with a group of
group-likes isomorphic to one of these groups.Comment: Major exposition revision, including referees remarks. To appear in

On the two-point function of the one-dimensional KPZ equation
In this short communication we show that basic tools from Malliavin calculus
can be applied to derive the two-point function of the slope of the
one-dimensional KPZ equation, starting from an arbitrary two-sided Brownian
motion, in terms of the polymer end-point annealed distribution associated to
the stochastic heat equation. We also prove that this distribution is given in
terms of the derivative of the variance of the solution of the KPZ equation.Comment: 10 pages, 1 figure, typos correcte
Upwelling regime off the Cabo Frio region in Brazil and impact on acoustic propagation
This work introduces a description of the complex upwelling regime off the Cabo Frio region in Brazil and shows that ocean modeling, based on the feature-oriented regional modeling system (FORMS) technique, can produce reliable predictions of sound speed fields for the corresponding shallow water environment. This work also shows, through the development of simulations, that the upwelling regime can be responsible for the creation of shadow coastal zones, in which the detection probability is too low for an acoustic source to be detected. The development of the FORMS technique and its validation with real data, for the particular region of coastal upwelling off Cabo Frio, reveals the possibility of a sustainable and reliable forecast system for the corresponding (variable in space and time) underwater acoustic environment.
