El caso de los Equipamientos Culturales de Proximidad

Facultat de Belles Arts de la UB, curs: 2018-2019, Tutor: Pareja Eastaway, Montserrat[spa] A partir de la Transición que ponía fin a la dictadura, España se incorporó al discurso de la "democracia cultural” que habían adoptado el resto de demo-cracias occidentales. De esta manera, comienzan a desarrollarse políticas culturales que aseguraban el acceso a la cultura como bien colectivo, al alcance de todos los ciudadanos. En la ciudad de Barcelona, estas políticas culturales surgieron al amparo del modelo de desarrollo que permitió la transformación urbanística de la ciudad. Este contexto fue caldo de cultivo para la recuperación de espacio público y equipamiento cultural de proximidad, tan demanda-do por la ciudadanía.El equipamiento cultural de proximidad juega un pa-pel fundamental en el sistema de espacios públicos a escala de barrio. El acercamiento a esta hipótesis desde la perspectiva concreta del barrio del Poble Sec y a través del estudio de la Biblioteca Françesc Boix, el Centro Cultural Albareda y el Centro Cívico el Sortidor, nos permite redefinir el encaje de esta tipología de equipamiento en el territorio, no solo en función de la trama urbana, sino también atendiendo a las dinámicas sociales que es capaz de generar.[eng] Ever since the Transition that put an end to the dictatorship, Spain joined the discourse of “cultural democracy” that the rest of the Western democra-cies had already taken. Then, a number of cultural policies ensuring access to culture as a collective good began to develop within everybody’s reach. In the city of Barcelona, these cultural policies came up under the protection of the development model that allowed for the urban transformation of the city. This context was a breeding ground for the recovery of both public space and proximity cultural facilities, as claimed by the citizens. Proximity cultural facilities play a fundamental role in the system of public spaces at neighbourhood level. The approach to this hypothesis from the specific perspective of the Poble Sec neighbourhood and through the study of Francesc Boix Library, Albareda Cultural Centre and El Sortidor Civic Cen-tre allows us to redefine the fitting of this typology of equipment in the area, not only according to the urban fabric, but also in accordance with the social dynamics that it can create

La terapia académica como categoría de análisis para la investigación de la Cuestión Malvinas

El siguiente artículo es el resultado de la objetivación de mi experiencia como personaje secundario de la Guerra y de la lectura de los diferentes trabajos realizados por investigadores en Ciencias Sociales sobre la Guerra de Malvinas y quienes me permitieron sumarme al elenco de los actores de reparto que le dieron inicio al fin de la procrastinación de la Cuestión Malvinas. Cuestión que toma fuerza académica en los años noventa con los primeros trabajos de la antropóloga Rosana Guber que dan cuenta de la experiencia de pilotos de la Fuerza Aérea Argentina durante el conflicto. Junto con ella, vendrán desde el campo de la historia Federico Lorenz y Andrea Rodríguez con trabajos que muestran perspectivas que invitan a la reflexión permanente. Mi aporte al campo de estudio es demostrar que la terapia academica suma una nueva dimensión de análisis para seguir pensando la Cuestión Malvinas.Universidad Nacional de La Plat

Wheat rust evolution in Spain: an historical review

Rusts are important wheat diseases worldwide. The three rust diseases of wheat are yellow rust, leaf rust and stem rust, and each has characteristic features. The Guadalquivir valley in the south–west and Girona in the north–east are the areas Spain most affected by these diseases. Key factors for understanding the history of wheat rust epidemics in Spain are historical weather records in the rust–prone areas and characterization of rust resistance in historical varieties currently preserved in seed banks. These diseases in Spain have been of moderate importance, with stem rust being the most significant disease. During the second half of the 20th century several major epidemics occurred. In 1958 and 1978 severe outbreaks of yellow rust occurred in the Guadalquivir valley. These were probably associated with crop intensification, especially a large number of host landraces replaced by just a few cultivars, as well as immigration of external pathogen inoculum. From the early 1970s, CIMMYT elite cultivars arrived in Spain. These possessed good resistance to leaf and stem rust (Sr2), and had early heading dates. Subsequently, stem rust severity rapidly decreased in Spanish fields, but leaf rust epidemics became frequent during 1998–2008 on durum wheat in south–west Spain. In 2013, races virulent on Lr14a gene were first reported in Spain, but they did not result in disease epidemics. In 2012–16 yellow rust epidemics were recorded at many locations due to incursion of the ‘Warrior’ race. Despite the availability of effective fungicides and resistant cultivars to manage the three rust diseases, these diseases continue to threaten wheat production in Spain. In 2016, stem rust caused epidemics on durum wheat in Sicily (Italy), which has similar climatic conditions to those found in the south and east of Spain. Alert systems and international co-operation are needed to characterize the resistance of cultivars, and to monitor the movement and virulence of the wheat rust fungi.Fundación de Investigación de la Universidad de Sevilla PRJ201702960Fundación de Investigación de la Universidad de Sevilla PRJ20160271

¿Cómo trabajar racismo y xenofobia en Educación Primaria?

La llegada irregular de población de origen africano a Canarias se ha visto incrementada en este último año. Esta ha despertado actitudes racistas y conductas xenófobas. Desde un punto de vista educativo, este trabajo pretende concienciar y reflexionar acerca de la realidad cultural del entorno próximo del alumnado, fomentando la adquisición del pensamiento crítico, generando valores de igualdad y respeto. En el marco teórico abordamos cuestiones terminológicas atendiendo al uso adecuado de los conceptos relacionados con el racismo y la xenofobia. También, hacemos referencia a los flujos migratorios en Canarias. Finalmente, exponemos algunos modelos educativos relacionados con la diversidad cultural y las bases para trabajar la interculturalidad a través de la educación. En consecuencia, hemos elaborado un proyecto transversal destinado a sexto curso de Educación Primaria contando con la participación de la Federación de Asociaciones de Africanos en Canarias y Tenerife Antirrumores. Este consta de diez sesiones y de una evaluación, estructurándose como una gran cadena cuyos eslabones son ver, vivir, sentir y expresar.The irregular arrival of African migrants to the Canary Islands has increased in the last year. This situation has fostered racist attitudes and xenophobic behavior. From an educational point of view, this project aims to raise awareness and reflects on the cultural reality of the students´ immediate environment, promoting the acquisition of critical thinking, generating values of equality and respect. In the theoretical framework we address terminological issues attending to the proper use of concepts related to racism and xenophobia. Also, we refer to the migratory flows in the Canary Islands. Finally, we analyze some educational models related to cultural diversity and the bases of promoting interculturality through education. Thus, we developed a project for the sixth grade of Primary Education in collaboration with the “Federación de Asociaciones de Africanos en Canarias” and “Tenerife Antirrumores”. This didactic approach contains ten lessons and an evaluation, all structured as a chain whose links are seeing, living, feeling and expressing

La incorrecta aplicación de la caducidad en los procedimientos administrativos sancionadores bajo el marco normativo de la Ley N° 27444

La presente tesis tuvo como objetivo general identificar la incorrecta aplicación de la caducidad en los Procedimientos Administrativos Sancionadores bajo el marco normativo de la Ley N°27444 con los objetivos específicos se formularon para: establecer si la no inclusión de la caducidad en los reglamentos especiales de las entidades públicas contraviene las garantías jurídicas establecidas en la Ley N° 27444; determinar las causas y consecuencias de la inaplicación de la caducidad en los procedimientos administrativos sancionadores bajo el marco normativo de la Ley N° 27444. Por lo tanto, se empleó el enfoque cualitativo con un modelo de análisis básico y de diseño exploratorio de revisión documental, realizándose procedimientos de origen documental y entrevistas a expertos. En relación a los objetivos se concluyó que la caducidad es una figura que no guarda consistencia normativa al momento de ser analizada, por ello, la administración pública debe realizar una mejor interpretación de la misma al igual que los administrados para así aplicarlo. Por lo tanto, se determinó que las causas y consecuencias de su inaplicación es que en su mayoría las disposiciones que contiene son ambiguos, ya que, pueden interpretarse de distintas maneras, además de no haber una especificación de que, si la figura es aplicable para todo procedimiento sancionador, motivo por el cual es de suma importancia una modificación al artículo que la regula

Valence band offset of the ZnO/AlN heterojunction determined by X-ray photoemission spectroscopy

The valence band offset of ZnO/AlN heterojunctions is determined by high resolution x-ray photoemission spectroscopy. The valence band of ZnO is found to be 0.43±0.17 eV below that of AlN. Together with the resulting conduction band offset of 3.29±0.20 eV, this indicates that a type-II (staggered) band line up exists at the ZnO/AlN heterojunction. Using the III-nitride band offsets and the transitivity rule, the valence band offsets for ZnO/GaN and ZnO/InN heterojunctions are derived as 1.37 and 1.95 eV, respectively, significantly higher than the previously determined values

A Freshwater Hydrobiid, cf. the Squat Duskysnail, Lyogyrus granum (Mollusca), Widespread in the Hampton Marsh, New Brunswick

In Canada, the Squat Duskysnail, Lyogyrus granum, is an apparently rare freshwater hydrobiid. We document putative L. granum to be widespread throughout the Hampton Marsh, New Brunswick, with densities sometimes exceeding 150 snails/m2 on substrates ranging from vegetated organic detritus over mud, to sparsely-vegetated cobble/sand lakeshore. That our identification of L. granum from Hampton Marsh remains tentative, in spite of large samples, emphasizes the need for detailed taxonomic study of any putative L. granum populations in Canada. Such study will be necessary before the true conservation status can be determined for this and any related taxa, as yet unrecognized in Canadian material

Los avances de la nanotecnología han alcanzado de manera importante a la industria textil, dando lugar a fibras inteligentes con grandes beneficios para el usuario. Esta investigación tiene como propósito revisar el estado del arte acerca de la aplicación de la nanotecnología en los textiles en el campo del interiorismo, así como sus múltiples funciones. Se analizaron las principales propiedades de este tipo de fibras que han permitido otras oportunidades a la industria textil

Optical and IR Photometry of Globular Clusters in NGC1399: Evidence for Color-Metallicity Nonlinearity

We combine new Wide Field Camera~3 IR Channel (WFC3/IR) F160W (H) imaging data for NGC1399, the central galaxy in the Fornax cluster, with archival F475W (g), F606W (V), F814W (I), and F850LP (z) optical data from the Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS). The purely optical g-I, V-I, and g-z colors of NGC1399's rich globular cluster (GC) system exhibit clear bimodality, at least for magnitudes $I_814 > 21.5$. The optical-IR I-H color distribution appears unimodal, and this impression is confirmed by mixture modeling analysis. The V-H colors show marginal evidence for bimodality, consistent with bimodality in V-I and unimodality in I-H. If bimodality is imposed for I-H with a double Gaussian model, the preferred blue/red split differs from that for optical colors; these "differing bimodalities" mean that the optical and optical-IR colors cannot both be linearly proportional to metallicity. Consistent with the differing color distributions, the dependence of I-H on g-I for the matched GC sample is significantly nonlinear, with an inflection point near the trough in the g-I color distribution; the result is similar for the I-H dependence on g-z colors taken from the ACS Fornax Cluster Survey. These g-z colors have been calibrated empirically against metallicity; applying this calibration yields a continuous, skewed, but single-peaked metallicity distribution. Taken together, these results indicate that nonlinear color-metallicity relations play an important role in shaping the observed bimodal distributions of optical colors in extragalactic GC systems.Comment: 15 pages, 12 figures, accepted for publication in the Astrophysical Journa
