    Viewing educator as a "profession" means considering not only the compliance of elements and scientific procedures but also the fulfillment of salaries for professional staff. Payroll practices of educators had been institutionalized in medieval Islamic educational system, although the institutionalization process had invited controversy among scholars. Along with the institutionalization of the payroll practices of educators, educational theories evolved toward a discussion of issues of the competences of educators who make teaching activities as a "profession". The historical experience of Muslims can give us a lesson for resolving the problems of professionalism of educators today

    The studies of Arabic language had taken place since the early classical age of Islam. The studies were influenced much by the interests of Moslems in understanding and articulating the message of the Qur’an and hadith. Historically, for many centuries the Arabic language had an important role in uniting the different ethnic groups, nations, and even religions under one Islamic empire. However, while the conversions of the subdued inhabitants to Islam required a longer period, the acceptance of Arabic as the common language took even longer, and still some groups clung to their native language. Besides, the ulama always sought to subordinate the study of Arabic grammar to the Islamic religious sciences and to limit to influence of grammarians over young men. They feared that grammar which relied on Greek logic as a methodology could lead to fascination with other Greek intellectual sciences

    Systematic studies on Arabic language had taken place since the early classical age of Islam. Therefore, Arabic language and all its aspects became the first science developed by Moslem scholars. However, the scholars always sought to subordinate the study of Arabic philology and grammar and to limit the influence of grammarians over young men.  And it is a fact that the scholars differed in viewing whether the Arabic is the subordinate to religious sciences or to foreign sciences. From the different argument put forward by the scholars, it is clear that their debates were closely related to the dichotomy of sciences that developed since the third/ ninth century

    Address Systems Used in Ballerina(2016) Movie Script (Sociolinguistics Perspective)

    This research is aimed to classify the types of address systems and to determine the social factors which affect the use of address system used by the characters in Ballerina (2016) Movie Script. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative research. The researcher uses Ballerina (2016) Movie Script as the data source and the data were collected through document analysis. The researcher used Wardaugh (2015) and Wardaugh (2006) Theory to analyze the data. The result of the research shows there are nine types of address systems namely (1) adressing by title, (2) addressing by first name, (3) addrssing by title plus last name, (4) addressing by nickname, (5) addessing by kinship name, (6) addressing by mockery name, (7) addressing by full name, (8) addressing by intimacy name and (9) addressing by title plus full name. The research reveals that there are six social factors affect the use of address systems such as rank or social status, occupational status, age, degree of intimacy, family relationship, anger expression and formal situation

    Latar belakang masalah pada penelitian ini adalah praktik pengajaran sejarah disekolah guru hanya membeberkan fakta-fakta saja dan model serta teknik pengajarannya tidak variatif. Umunya kurang disadari bahwa pembelajaran sejarah memiliki sifat-sifat yang memerlukan ketrampilan untuk mengajarkannya sehingga keaktifan siswa dalam belajar menurun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui pengaruh dari penerapan metode Listening Team untuk meningkatkan kekativan belajar siswa di MA Darul Ulum Bareng Jombang; (2)mengetahui peningkatan nilai siswa setelah dilakukannya metode Listening TeamJenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dan subyek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X ips Ma Darul Ulum Bareng Jombangyang terdiri dari 32 siswa pada semester genap. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penlitian ini adalah test pre-test dan post-test guna untuk melihat perubahan belajar siswa sebelum dan setelah dilakukannya penelitan, lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data guru dalam pelaksanaan metode Listening Team, analisis data aktivitas siswa terhadap Metode Listening Team, dan hasil dari pre-test dan post-test.Hasil dari penelittian ini adalah: pembelajaran sejarah di MA Darul Ulum Bareng sudah tepat dan sesuai, hal ini ditunjukan dari kenaikan kegiatan guru dalam proses pembelajaran sebelum dan sesudah dilakuakannya penelitain menggunakan model pembelajaran koopertif tipe Listening Team dan terdapat 76% siswa mendapat kategori baik siswa mampu belajar menggunakan metode Listening Team. Dengan demikian metode Listening Team dapat meningkatkan keaktivan belajar siswa.Kata Kunci : Pembelajaran sejarah, Listening Team, keaktivan sisw

    The background of this research is the results of observations and distribution of student needs questionnaires that have been distributed at SDN Satak 2, especially in grade 5, students in grade 5 experience difficulties in understanding science lessons due to the teacher's lack of creativity when teaching. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity of Articulate Storyline 3-based audio-visual learning media products in class 5 water cycle material at SDN Satak 2. This study used a research and development R&D method with a 4D model. The results of this study are that Media Articulate Storyline 3 is declared valid. Media validity can be seen from the results of media validation. From the results of media validation, a value of 86% was obtained. Material validation obtained a value of 86%. Thus the Articulate Storyline 3 media can be said to be valid. The conclusion of this study is that Media Articulate Storyline 3 is declared valid with an average gain of 86%

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode cerita gambar seri terhadap kemampuan membaca anak. Kemampuan membaca anak hanya dibatasi pada kemampuan membaca kalimat. Metode penelitian menggunakan experiment design Pre Experimental dengan bentuk One Group Pre Test–Post Test Design pada anak kelompok B di TK BA Aisyiyah Lorog Tawangsari Sukoharjo. Data tentang kemampuan membaca dikumpulkan melalui observasi sebelum dan sesudah diberi tindakan metode gambar seri. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji statistik memakai paired sample test. Hasil analisis data pada = 5% diperoleh ttabel = 2,05 thitung = -3,140 maka Ho ditolak karena ttabel > thitung. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan membaca anak meningkat, setelah diberi metode gambar seri. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil adalah ada pengaruh penggunaan metode cerita gambar seri terhadap kemampuan membaca anak di TK BA Aisyiyah Lorog Tawangsari Sukoharjo Tahun Pelajaran 2011/2012
