This article addresses the status of lexicography. The author highlights certain termino-logical ambiguities that are encountered in lexicographic literature; he proposes an analysis of the term lexicography in the context of the philosophical understanding of science and art and characterizes lexicography as a set of dictionaries from the aspect of the market. He interprets all the three aspects of lexicography as the three interacting sides of one and the same phenomenon

The author describes the problem of interpretation of system equivalence which principally belongs to confrontative linguistics and juxtaposes it with consituational equivalence which, in turn, is closer to translatology. W niniejszym artykule autor proponuje semantyczną analizę konfrontatywną polskiego leksemu przeczytać oraz jego rosyjskich odpowiedników – прочитать i перечитать, a także zestawienie takiej analizy z odpowiednimi artykułami hasłowymi w wielkich słownikach polsko-rosyjskich i rosyjsko-polskich. Celem analizy jest określenie optymalnej sekwencji znaczeń leksemu przeczytać, odpowiedni dobór ekwiwalentów, a także systemowo adekwatna i pragmatycznie użyteczna konstrukcja artykułów hasłowych dla wszystkich trzech jednostek leksykalnych.The article is devoted to a contrastive analysis of lexical (dictionary) meanings of the Polish lexeme przeczytać and its Russian equivalents прочитать and перечитать. The article is an overview of Polish-Ukrainian dictionaries assessing their usefulness. It predominantly deals with the analysis of the contents of the latest Polish-Ukrainian dictionaries in terms of registering reproducts of phatic nature. Another issue discussed in the article is a description of equivalence on the basis of Ukrainian reproduct а саме and its equivalents in Polish. The results obtained from the register of Polish-Ukrainian were juxtaposed with the results from a comparable Polish-Russian dictionary

Glottodidactic Aspects of Collocations in Dictionary Entries

This article expands on the issues related to the structure of dictionary entries in bilingual dictionaries and to their glottodidactic context. It predominantly focusses on collocations which illustrate specific entries and serve as a dual-level semantic verification for dictionary users. Appropriately matched word sets can be a valuable resource in language didactics, as has been suggested by research investigating dictionaries both for learners and for general use. Thus, this article presents the model of a dictionary entry meeting the standards of both didactic and general lexicography. The selection of specific collocations is based on a corpus study (The National Corpus of the Russian Language). The analysis presented here reveals that it is possible to establish clear schemata of connectivity, which can help in searching for optimal collocation matches for lexicographical needs

Корпусы и поиски оптимальных коллокатов для целей переводной лексикографии

W artykule niniejszym autor podejmuje próbę zweryfikowania wyników korpusowych dla 50 pierwszych poświadczeń rosyjskich leksemów прожить oraz пережить (jako ekwiwalentów niemetaforycznych polskiej jednostki przeżyć) pod kątem rejestrowania użytecznych leksykograficznie (i dydaktycznie) kolokacji. W artykule omówiony został dydaktyczno-leksykograficzny kontekst badawczy, zaprezentowane zostały ustalone wcześniej pary przekładowe wraz z definicjami jednostek wyjściowych oraz szeregami kolokacyjnymi (zarówno w sensie schematów kolokacyjnych, jak i szeregów typowych kolokantów), a także przytoczono nie budzące wątpliwości poświadczenia korpusowe dla 50 pierwszych wyników w Korpusie podstawowym NKJR oraz Korpusie prasowym NKJR. Jednocześnie zostały przedstawione potencjalne uzupełniające ekwiwalenty rosyjskie dla polskiej jednostki przeżyć.В статье предпринимается попытка верификации результатов поиска в основном и газетном корпусах НКРЯ коллокатов российских лексем прожить и пережить (как неметафорических эквивалентов польской лексемы przeżyć). Основной целью исследования является определение пригодности 50-и начальных вхождений в данных корпусах для переводной лексикографии и дидактики. В статье автор представляет лексикографический и дидактический контексты анализа, приводит установленные в предыдущих своих исследованиях с упором на семантику и употребление пары эквивалентов (с учетом сочетаемостных схем и рядов), а также указывает не вызывающие сомнений по соотношению с определенной семантикой примеры коллокатов встречаемых в анализируемом материале.The purpose of this article is an attempt to verify corpus findings for first fifty confirmations of Russian lexemes прожить and пережить (seen as nonmetaphorical equivalents of the Polish entry unit przeżyć) and identification of collocations that would be useful in lexicographical and didactic aspects. The article presents didactic and lexicographical research context and shows previously identified language translations pairs with definitions of original entries and collocational chains, both in terms of collocational schemes and chains of typical collocants. As well as this, the author quotes corpus confirmations for first fifty findings in the basic and press corpora respectively within the National Russian Corpus.
